  See if the following can help you...
  Start button > Panel > Classic view > Power Options > click on change power settings > click on advanced editing powersettings > scroll down until you see Miltimedia parameters, click the plus sign (+) sign in front of > again once, click the (+) sign sign in front when media sharing > on battery shoud read " allow the computer to sleep ".
                                                   Sector should read " allow the computer to sleep ".
  If they aren't, it must 'prevent the idling to sleep' or 'allow the computer switch to Away mode. Click on it, you should see a pointer on the far right, click on it and select allow the computer to sleep.

  To try to speed up the time in takes to reach the desktop of my computer, I removed the login screen of Windows (with the default regular login screen).  What I was hoping, therefore, was that Windows would ignore the login screen and go directly to the screen, however, instead, the next time I start my computer, I received a box of connection with the username "HP_Owner" and a line of password that I don't know what to fill in with.  I remember when changed the settings done unchecking a box somewhere in the control panel under the default user name.  It is a family of PC, there is no need of passwords when we opened a session.  The computer is a HP Pavilion a830n and a desktop computer.  I think that the password should be the default value of the system.  The connection box also gives the opportunity to stop.
