I removed the SSD that laptop and installed in the new office refurbished.   According to your description, I realize you are trying to install a Portable SSD hard drive in a desktop computer that has Windows 7 installed on it.

  First of all I would say you do not to do since both hard drives have different specifications, and this can adversely affect your computer. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer of your computer before this change of material.

  On Windows, it is not recommended to mix computers with different operating system installed on a hard drive specifications. I would say to reinstall the full operating system such that two computers use different Hardware.
