Pavilion 1066EZ M6: M6 Pavilion 1066EZ BSOD

Hello

I have a Pavilion M6 1066EZ. The question is sometimes, it freezes or gives BSOD.

The strange thing is, he began to do this after it has been cleaned.

I cleaned the fan and replaced the thermal paste with Gelīc GC Extreme 2.

GPU temp on 7520G is 90 degrees Celsius idle

GPU temp on 7670M does not at all.

How is it possible for the GPU to APU having 90 degrees when the CPU itself has 40?

I also checked the cooling system: all screws are well tightened correctly.

I tried the activation and the deactivation of Crossfire and even set a profile to 'Maximize the battery life' but it doesn't seem to work.

@UzY3L,

Hello and thanks for posting back.  The reason why there can be a difference so close together is due to use of the tension.  The amount of doors and so forth that are operating on the chip.  Should be a detailed instruction in electronic engineering to break the functioning of each part and how it uses power.

Graphics cards for most of them, according to what is happening on the screen can run several times harder than the cpu.

I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, you will need to search on the net about how gpu and cpu use power under different operations.  It will depend on the type of cpu and gpu.  As well as what is currently running on the system as well.

I hope this helps.

Thanks again and have a great day.

I have a HP Pavilion g6-1b60us running Windows 7.  Recently, I've been doing the BSOD with error code BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER at least once a day, sometimes several times a day. I tried updating the drivers, but am still affected by the same problem. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi there @reCATcha1

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff.

I understand that you have found an error on blue screen BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. I'm happy to help you.

Have you tried to scan your system for what as malware, viruses etc?  If you do not I would recommend doing this first and as a result, clean your system.

If you know approximately when the problem started, you can try to do a system restore to a point before it all started.

Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 7)

Otherwise, I recommend you back up the contents of your hard drive and then look at the system recovery, I would start with just the drivers, and if it does not help, then a factory restore.

  • HP Pavilion dv6000 BSOD continues

I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 model number DV6853CL with Vista Home Premium 64-bit

In my view, that the source of my problems comes from a virus.

Awhile back, I was getting the BSOD, but I was still able to boot my system. After a few weeks, I was unable to do anything because I found myself stuck at the black screen "Windows Boot Manager". I have to get fixed and was able to get it restored factory setting in the hope that it would solve my problem. After about 15 minutes of use, I get the BSOD again and now I'm back the the Windows Boot Manager screen saying "File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe" I already ran a Test drive and two passes. Help?

It should not cause a problem, they mean they do not clean the hard drive before hand.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: Could you please tell me why I get a BSOD if I updated my graphics driver AMD?

I am facing this problem for months, I never update my graphics driver as usual, it slows down the PC and causes the BSOD. I use the graphics driver that is downloaded from the HP site and it does never BSOD. But sometimes my ATI graphic driver stops working, updates Windows shows me an update for the driver, but every time I've updated to use, the computer stops working, and it gives me screen all black when I turn it on, so I have to reinstall windows again and again if I've never updated my graphics driver. My PC is HP Pavilion E033TX 15, I hope someone could help me solve this issue. Thank you!

Do not let Windows update to install the AMD\ATI driver. Change the Windows Update settings for "Let me know if there are updates available so I can decide whether to download and install updates" to avoid the problem reoccur.

Computers laptop switchable graphics require a specially updated the driver provided by HP for your laptop.  It is not available through Windows update. You are not alone with this problem. The same problem happens to other brands of laptops owners who have the switchable graphics function.

    Hello

Every time I have try and play videos online (for example, through YouTube), approximately 60 - 120 seconds in the video, I get a BSOD;  the stop code is 0 x 00000116 and the assigned driver is ATIKMPAG. SYS.

    Here are the basics:

-HP Pavilion HPE h8-1010 (Core i5 processor 2.7 GHz, 8 GB of memory;) ID 2AC2 7.03 BIOS version)

-Installed at the factory (ATI Radeon HD 6450) video card

-Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium with all required & recommended Windows updates installed

    -IE 8.0

    -Adobe Flash 10.3

I tried to fix it myself in upgrading the original video driver to the latest version of the Web from AMD site (8.872.0.0, 07/07/2011 date of the driver), and doing so has not solved the problem.  I also tried to run IE 8 in 32-bit and 64-bit - mode which has not solved the problem either.

  • Pavilion 2010ax g6: BSOD on install display driver

I have hp laptop pavilion g6 2010ax with dual graphics (7640 G + 7640 M) and windows 7 ultimate 64-bit for about a year. Last week I had my motherboard replaced because of the defective audio port. After replacing the motherboard, I started having a BSOD after "starting windows." The engineer told me that my windows broke down and I need to reinstall it. After you have reinstalled windows (formatted my hard drive and start over), he started very well, but when I started to install the drivers (that I got from hp site -http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&lc=en&product=5269648), he even once gave me the same BSOD on the next reboot. Then I logged in safe mode and after subsequent installation and uninstallation, stressed the graphics driver would cause BSOD (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION atikmdag.sys 0x3b).

I tried a bunch of AMD Catalyst software, but none of them does not solve the problem. I even updated my BIOS (suggested by hp support assistant) but even that has not worked.

Now my windows runs with graphic Standard VGA adapter and I can not play games, watch HD movies, adjust the brightness and I can't even put my laptop to sleep!

So is this a harware problem or software problem and how can I solve it?

Any help would be really appreciated.

    Hey akshayjin,

The only other option to try to get the driver installed, without the BSOD error, is to perform a clean boot with no anti virus running. To perform a clean boot (msconfig), I've included the document «How to perform a boot in Windows» Please select your version of Windows and follow the steps. Once all the anti virus and the clean boot is finished, restart the computer. Once the computer to the top, try to reinstall the graphics driver.

If you still get the BSOD error after the above steps, the next thing to do would be to contact the technical support to the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region please click the link below to get help from your region number. http://www.hp.com/cgi-bin/hpsupport/index.pl.

  • HP Pavilion 1d45dx g6: Pavilion G6: error BSOD in Windows 10

Once I upgraded my laptop 10 (64-bit) Windows whenever I would put my laptop to sleep or close the lid and come back, she would but immediately frozen and he would not answer. After a few seconds a blue screen of death with a frowny face would jump to the top. It usually gives me the error code: UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION

Then when I'd start my laptop to be out some time, it will give me a BSOD right at the beginning and it would have a CRITICAL_PROCESS_DIED error code

Is anyway to fix this? I am very fun that may have windows 10 on my laptop. Given the amount of BSOD I had, I went back to Windows 7 until a solution can be found.

Sidenote: I also had a similar problem with windows 8, he did exactly the same thing, just like Windows 10. He gave me a different error code: KERNAL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR.  I went back to Windows 7 on this situation as well.

Any help to solve this would be awesome! Thanks in advance.

    This is a big update!

I managed to get my old G6-1c43nr works well on Windows 10 using this meathod! (Please note that not all of the G6 can use this meathod and you must proceed at your own discression!)

    Measures to address this error:

    1. download BIOS revision F.46 (probably you have F.48 or F.49) if available for your laptop (go to Windows 7 drivers > BIOS > Previous Versions).

    2. install the older BIOS

3 after installing the old BIOS, your laptop most likely does not completely start, he should give a BSOD and reboot, let him do this twice and the third time, should it try to perform a repair of starting WHAT IT WILL (AND SHOULD) FAIL!

    4. after the start of the repair fails, click on 'Advanced Options '.

    5. click on help > advanced options > start parameters

    6. click on restart

    7. When you see the boot settings screen, press '4' on your keyboard

    8. you will then start in safe mode, do not connect to your computer when it is presented with the login screen, simply press Power > restart

    9. you should be able to start completely Windows now

    10. put the computer to sleep and then wake it up, it should now fully work!

The problem was that the most recent BIOS breaks the way Windows 8/10 read the configuration of SATA and decommissioning of the BIOS fix it.

    Enjoy!

  • Constantly to get BSOD on new pavilion g6 2051sd

So, I bought this laptop about a month ago, and I had a crash on the first or the second day of its use. Do not that much attention, thought it would sort itself out with al the updates of windows (running windows 7, 64 bits). Later he started crashing everytime I left it for a few hours to download something, I'd find with an error message saying that he ho hard drive. Restart using the power botton would solve the problem. I didn't have much time to give in and which continued for two weeks. Now, it's almost 2 weeks, I tried to solve this problem...

I did all the tests for the material and everything seems to be ok.

In addition, he started having more than ususal, initially, it was as if once by 1 or 2 days, now it's almost hourly.

then I started to uninstall everything what I somehow guess that caused this problem, but the solution did not come.

Try google search for my problem, I discovered that users more had the same problem and solved by updating the bios, so I've updated to version f.26. As a first step, I am happy, it does not plant for 3 or 4 hours, but it has all of a sudden.

The messega I get the BSOD is the F4, relating to memory.

I don't know what else to do. Could reinstall windows save the situation, or is it posible that the error occurs by material?

    Hello Cyber_viking

I see that you have a problem with BSOD on your HP computer.

It is possible that this is a software problem. I suggest to test the equipment by using the diagnostic system before a reinstall of Windows.

You can run the diagnostic test as follows:

    1. Turn off computer

    2. Turn on the computer and immediately press the button "ESC".

    3. Select the option "System diagnostic" in the start menu

    4. Run the memory, hard disk and of the test launch

If one of them fails a re-installation will not solve your problem.
