• HP Pavilion having problems connecting to the TV

  Hey there! I am Brazilian and I tried to solve this problem for some time. My parents have an old HP Pavilion (I might try to get more specific on the model if you guys could give me ways to do so as I can't find anywhere on the laptop: c) that they use to communicate with me via Skype, as I do not live with them more. However, a few months back, they could not connect it to the TV and since I was home for the holidays I tried to fix it.

  It is an old model, so it lacks a HDMI connection. We use a standard VGA cable instead. And before anyone asks, I tested the cable with 2 other laptops, and it works correctly.

  The question is, even if the laptop itself recognizes the connection and I would like to change some of the configurations (such as extended desktop), the TV flashes for a second, but don't watch nothing, no matter what I try.

  I tried to check the laptop disks, but AutoDiscovery HP shows nothing, and I simply cannot find more information on the model of manually searching for them.

  If you TV connected to another computer and it works, then it is not the TV.  Here is a document on the connection to a monitor, projector or a TV in Windows Vista which has some troubleshooting steps to try. There is also an update of the bios for this computer. Here is the link for HP Pavilion dv2000 CTO Notebook PC Drivers. Here is a document to help you.  Update the Bios. Please keep me informed of the results.

• HP Pavilion DPGEK44 Gaming: HP Pavilion Gaming DPGEK44 connected via the monitor HP Pavilion 24xw - no sound

  The sound on my laptop works fine until I connect it via HDMI to a monitor HP Pavilion 24xw.  Then the sound disappears.  If I disconnect it, the sound comes back.

  I tried to go to the 'Sound' of the control panel section.  There are two options:

  Realtek High Definition Audio speakers

  HP 24xw

  The default value is Realtek speakers.  When I use the test installation my laptop plays the sound test.  I've updated to the latest version of the driver.

  If anyone can help with why where the monitor audio disappears from my laptop?

• HP Pavilion dv7 - 3188cl: HP Pavilion does not connect to Internet (resolved)

  I recently got a HP Pavillion Entertainment, model number dv7 - 3188cl, for me to use for a class at the school by my uncle. Before the recovery, everything worked perfectly well. My uncle asked me to reset the computer, so we used the recovery disks that wiped the hard drive successfully but then refuses to reinstall the operating system. Instead of getting another set of recovery disks that I've used a Windows 7 install disc to reinstall the OS and he did so successfully with one flaw, the laptop does not connect to the internet.

  I tried to connect via ethernet and it does not find my WiFi network. I suspect his lack a driver and checked for drivers on the HP site but he said that there is none. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if there is no driver for this I would be grateful if you could tell me where to download from.

• HP Pavilion G6: HP Pavilion G6 - limited connectivity wifi problem

  Hello

  I wanted to clear some questions on my HP Pavilion laptop

  I searched online and most of the things have not worked for me, I realized that my wifi goes generally to limited connectivity when either, I take my laptop on my lap and the place on my bed (maybe its because fans are unable to expel hot air because they are blocked?) and when I put my charger.

  To temporarily fix this I go to the "network and sharing Center" and disabling and re-enabling my wifi, but sometimes, I noticed that I turn off and when I try to turn it back on, it remains as disabled so...

• HP Pavilion suddenly cannot connect to Wi - Fi

  I turned on my computer this morning, after a Windows Update and it would not connect to my wifi. Initially, he said I have been connected manually to a former network but I deleted that and tried to manually connect to my home network but no luck. I worked through all the options of troubleshooting and checked to see if the driver was updated (it was) - all of this without success.  My computer allows me to plug in an ethernet cable and the router and use the internet like that. I know it's not the router because I use the WiFi with my iPad. Here are some details:

  Product name: HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11-e004au Notebook PC

  Pilot: Ralink RT3290 802.11bgn wifi adapter

  When I look on the driver details, it seems that it is a driver of 32system while I think, I'm running a 64-bit operating system (but I could be wrong to interpret that as I don't know much about these things).

  I see that you are a problem with the wireless and internet access. I will try to help you with this.
  
  As you mention this just happening and recently updated Windows, I would recommend starting with a System Restore before the problem started. There is a possibility that something for the update has problem.
  
  If this does not help, try the following document: troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 8).
  
  To go with the document, you can go to Device Manager > network adapters > right click on the wireless adapter > uninstall. Restart your computer, start Windows reinstalls the driver.
  
  If when you do that, you have no success, make sure you did the step in the chapeau of this document has reset power to the router/modem. Yes, the iPad connect, but this does not mean that it is not a problem between the laptop and the router. The iPad is a completely different device, how it interacts is not the same (think people, I will interact differently with someone, then you would). This step usually reduces these conflicts.
  
  Try the above and let me know how it goes for you.

  Yesterday, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion type 17-e125nd. This laptop seems to have very bad internet connection while the signal is 100%. All the time he said that some sites Web cannot be opened.   I use a WiFi connection for all of my pc and the excists of problems in both IE and Chrome by the way

  Problem solved. I called hp and a friendly young man changed the values of the dns server and it works now.

  He has will call even me in 3 days to see if everything is still all right.

• Satellite Pro U400 Win 7: flashing projector connected to Dynadock U10

  I have a number of Dynadocks U10 and Toshiba Satellite Pro U400 laptops.

  They are used to allow our teachers to move from one room to the other without having to connect and disconnect several cables. We use a vga connection to a projector for the external monitor.
  Everything worked pretty well until we put Win 7 on laptops.

  Now, at random intervals, the external monitor will blink.
  I tried the most up to date drivers and software found elsewhere in these forums.
  If I plug the projector directly into the laptop, the flashing stops.

  Can someone please help avoid losing me my mind completely.

  I think it means that the VGA of Dynadock pilot must be upgraded to Win 7 compatible version.
  There is nothing wrong in using a direct connection to the laptop, so I think there must be a problem with the driver Dynadock.

  Can I use my old hp pavilion for Internet a710n high speed? I realized that I don't have the PCI card for it, but can I use 1394 Ethernet port in the back?

  I've been on simple AOL DIALUP on built in 56K modem. My McAfee security is ultimately a failure and now impossible to upgrade on a slow connection. Does anyone know how to change to high speed, or even if I have high speed here somewhere?

  I stumbled upon your post on the laptop and wanted to help you! I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion Notebook g6 and issues with slow wireless speeds. Here is a link for troubleshooting wireless connection, if you need.

  If the problem persists, I would change the channel on the router. Routers are able to communicate to your laptop on several different channels. Sometimes, this fixes the speeds.

  Hello, some time ago my wifi collapsed plug into my laptop. I tried to restart in an earlier era, but nothing seemed to happen. I have looked at previous entries for the same problem and cannot yet set. The computer works fine otherwise.

  THE SOLUTION I USED:
  Back up everything that was important on the laptop on a flash drive.
  Factory reset it.
  Update windows and Hp downloads.
  Œuvres spectacularly, immediately connected to the wifi.

  Need to find program discs to reinstall microsoft office, another great success!

  Sorry, I meant the temporary profile. I've sorted it now, however. Start the computer in Mode safe mode and did a system restore and it fixed it. Apparently, there was a critical update?

  Upload the file to another PC and copy it to a USB key.

  Plug into usb port of your g7 flash drive and run it from the flash drive or copy it to your windows desktop and run it.

  I checked your site and it only shows the solution on how to connect your desktop running WIndows 7 to a projector. I used your KB with the key words "windows xp to connect to the projector" and everything what you have there are solutions for Vista and Win 7.
