What to say that you can also access the network using Vista.

  • Switchable graphics after installing new window. No ATI driver on the site of HP for Pavilion dm4 1140EZ

    Hello

I had a problem with the black screen after logo window at startup. To solve it, I installed fresh windows 7 on my laptop Pavilion dm4 1140EZ. My laptop has Intel HD and ATI mobility Radeon 5000 graphics cards. On the HP site I downloaded the driver for Intel, but it lacked ATI driver for my product.  I went to the AMD site and downloaded catalyst control + driver for my ATI card but Intel graphics stops working correctly and graphic ATI did not work as well as on the Device Manager it has shown the device is functioning properly.

After uninstall of Catalyst Manager Intel graphic it was OK. How should I me switchable graphics? My laptop is warming further than it used to be I think may be due to works on Intel graphics only the video quality is very bad. Kindly help me to install progressively switchable graphics.

You can use the recovery media to reinstall the graphics driver AMD. Never install the Catalyst Control Center and the AMD driver. The graphics driver for a laptop with switchable graphics is specially coded to provide this functionality. Do not install the Intel driver separately because it would cause the feature switchable graphics to stop working. AMD owns ATI.

Find the graphics card AMD driver software, click in the box to the left and then click on install.

I discovered Mediatek drivers which are no longer updated.

    Hello

I suggest you borrow the CD of windows vista to your friends

    Method 1:

    Step 1:

I suggest you check in safe mode.

Start your computer in safe mode

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

    Step 2:

If you be able to start your computer in safe mode, I'd say make clean boot and check.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After troubleshooting, make sure the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

  • Lost password Linksys after install new windows

I've had my E4200 Linksys for a few years now. When I am home my mobile phone and computer laptop both using my wireless connection. My desktop computer has the main console of Cisco who gave the passwords for my laptop and laptop.

My problem is that I recently had a virus attack my office click on a wrong email link. I could not remove the virus, I did a clean install of windows. I can't find my Linksys router box, but I found my CD drive. The disc is asking for my password which is probably somewhere in my original box (which of course I can't find it now). My router has the mac address and model number, but I don't know how to reinstall my console without my original password.

Never, I unplugged my router when I made my new installation of windows on my desktop and my computer recognizes my Linksys router always. When I click on the device icon it says "connected network", category: network wireless router, manufacturer: Cisco, model: Internet access server. Is there enough information in order to retrieve my password and reinstall my console? Thank you...

I have no set special configuration in place with my router, so it seems that a reset is the best solution. I found the reset button on my router and I found this link: http://fixhomenetwork.com/blog/how-to-reset-linksys-router/ so I should be in good shape. Thanks again for all the help.

    Hello

I'll just run you through my problem, I installed a windows 8 skin pack which I initially thought was a product of windows (but it wasn't) after installation it forced me to restart my computer, it worked well but it didn't look right and my windows program of customization wouldn't work, so I used the uninstall program to uninstall files , but it was recommended not to remove the uninstall program so I didn't, after uninstalling it prompted me to restart my computer again once I did, when he got the login screen, a window popped up saying my authui.dll has been deleted or missing, and caused the logonui.exe to plant or does not work properly , so I turned off my computer in the only way that seemed possible that was to hold down the power button for 5 seconds, then I have it turned on and tried to get the menu of the OS and when it did my off usb keyboard so I couldn't choose Restore my pc, is there any other way to restore my pc? I have another laptop and a USB 4 GB if that could help. Also is it possible to re - install or recover windows uses a USB?

I'm guessing that you have reinstalled Windows from a DVD, right?

Your PC came with a version of HP OEM of Windows preinstalled, and it is the only version guaranteed to work on this unit.

You should consider reinstalling using HP recovery media to operate again.  It's a set of DVD and a CD that will erase the hard drive (removing all data, applications and settings, reinstall the original OS, drivers and utilities for HP. In some cases, you will be able to order a USB instead of discs.  You must order at HP; they cannot be downloaded.

You can look online for recovery from the paged media related: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers

Once there, enter your product name or number. On your software page and download the drivers, select your operating system and version. Click on "Update".  If the HP recovery support is available for your computer, down near the bottom of the page, you will see an entry for the command Recovery Media-CD/DVD/USB. Click on the symbol '+' to expand this entty and click on order to press for more details.

Or, if you prefer, you can do the same by contacting HP Customer Service:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

Note that if HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

Don't forget to read through the material in the linked thread before attempting the recovery: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00707939

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.
