Pavilion 17-e049wm: things around my keyboard

I noticed these odd ripples around some of my keys on my keyboard (it's at least a year). Either I had for a while, or just noticed them now. In any case, here is a picture:

http://i.imgur.com/YmpWIFW.jpg

I posted on Reddit and it was suggested that there is a plastic film around the keyboard, causing ripples. I don't know if this is the case because I do not see, unless I'm not another reason. Any help would be appreciated.

Actually on further review I thought you had a keyboard to type on the island with the keys sneaking through holes in the top cover, but you have a regular keyboard that sits on top of the lid, so all you need is the keyboard. What is a U.S. English keyboard?

If so, this is the part:

  • How to access the BIOS on a Pavilion Elite e9237c with mouse and keyboard wireless?

I have a desktop computer Pavilion Elite e9237 with a wireless keyboard and mouse. I tried to access the BIOS by pressing F10 at startup with no luck, and I can't access any of the other menus for the start-up eiither. I don't have a PS/2 port on my computer, so I can't get a wired keyboard and mouse. Does anyone know how to access the BIOS with this configuration?

I bought a USB keyboard and he answered in the same way... No bios access. I then studied why it did not work and discovered that it was the way in which he has been connected to the computer. I had initially plugged into a USB hub when he was not working and I moved it directly into a USB port and it works! I plugged my keyboard wireless directly into the USB port and it works too! Thanks for your help... I wouldn't have thought of it if it wasn't for to recommend you the USB keyboard.

  • HP pavilion 17-e049wm resolution

    Hello

I recently bought the refurbished hp pavilion 17-e049wm laptop.  There the A10-5750 AMD processor and corresponding AMD graphics card.

My question is... will I be able to drive a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 the HDMI output?  I read one place that this computer can support up to this resolution, with the right HDMI cable.  If yes/no, also what is the highest resolution that I can run on an external monitor?  I am wanting to switch to an external monitor for home use.

It will be too much of a strain for my laptop, or if it will work OK?

    Thank you!

    I found the answer myself.

I went to a store selling monitors with a resolution of 2560 x 1440 and they DID NOT work with my HP via the HDMI connection.  Although the chipset is capable of this resolution, the driver provided by AMD is not allowing it to happen.  I tried to add my own higher resolution, but it would not allow me to create whatever it is above 1080 p, essentially.

Yes, we tried two cables HDMI v1.4a 'high speed '.

    No luck.

I hope that HP and AMD allow that to happen in the software someday.

    Hello

It is a very delicate issue because on some models, their motherboards have places to plug in the power supply for the keyboards, but MANY models do not have. The only thing we can check: get the motherboard part number and find out

b if it had taken light for keyboard, you can replace the keyboard

b otherwise, you need to replace the keyboard and the whole motherboard.

How to check: open the machine (risky) or use the following link to get the part #:

  • HP Pavilion g6-2240sa - almost the entire keyboard has stopped working. Help please!

Hi, I have a HP Pavilion g6-2240sa with Windows 8 operating system.

This morning I turned on my laptop and the keyboard was not working, I had to use the on-screen keyboard to connect (this icon narrarator was fortunately in the lower corner). Later, I tried all the keys, just in case where it was not all keyboard - and discovered the tab left ctrl, NumLock, CapsLock Num 9, f10, f3, f6 and numlock less all responded but were only playing with the light and sound.

I did not any changes to the system recently that could have caused this and the only thing I can think is my boyfriend stumble on a staircase door in my living room entry and obtaining of coke on the table, maybe a little spashed under the screen, but I do know that nothing got inside the computers speakers.

I have tried to find solutions and trying to shut down the computer, remove the battery and hold the power button and enter the Security menu, keys do not respond when I try to go to the Security menu, so that didn't work.

Can someone help me please, I'm still under warranty, but I hope it's something I can fix myself.

  • Pavilion 15: number keys on the keyboard does not

I obviously made some changes with a result that the keypad does not work and I do not remember how to activate them. help please

    Hey @frederickw1,.

    Welcome to the Forums!

I understand that the keypad does not work. You mentioned that you have changed a few things. I'm here to help! I also changed the settings before and lost the use of my pad. Here are a few steps that can help.

Please make sure that the NumLock key is pressed while the button lights on your keyboard, which indicates that it works.

Please, start your computer in Mode safe. The numeric keypad works in Mode safe?

If the keyboard works fine in safe mode, then I suggest that do you a clean boot to see if another program blocking the use of the keyboard (How to perform a boot in Windows).

    • Right-click the Start button
    • Go to the control panel
    • Go to ease of access
    • Click on change how your keyboard works
    • Remove the turn checks on the keys area rocking. (This should stop your laptop computer to beep when you press the NumLock key).
    • Press OK.

If there is a check next to mouse keys:

    • Get him out.
    • Press OK.
    • Test the keypad.

If there is NOT a check next to mouse keys:

    • Please check the box
    • Press OK.
    • Test the keypad.

  • Pavilion 550-122nd: mouse and wireless keyboard do not work before Windows starts (10)

The wireless keyboard and mouse (that came with the computer) do not work until Windows is started.

I want to make a (ghost) image of my hard drive using the boot CD Norton ghost 15.0 (but it also applies to other bootable devices).

When the CD boots and the program starts I have to click a button (OK / accept) to continue. At this point the wireless keyboard and mouse are not active jet. This is why I can't continue.

Use a USB keyboard gives the same result (also not active at this point).

Is there a solution / work around for this?

    Thank you.

On the pilots seems plausible. Especially because on my laptop (older) with Windows 10 CD bootable (like Norton Ghost) don't Duke keyboard and mouse.

I'll have a look at the new version of the BIOS and start looking for new tools that will accept my keyboard (and mouse).

    Thank you.

  • Pavilion 550-150: more compatible USB keyboard/mouse

What combo (keyboard and mouse) wireless are most compatible with my computer (budget $ 100). I have a Microsoft Wireless series that gives me a lot of questions and I decided to replace it.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

I trust to Logitech and not bought 1 but 5 games (combo; 3 K710 and 2 sets of K330 cheaper). K710 price in my country is about $110:

    http://cplonline.com.au/Logitech-wireless-desktop-MK710-keyboard-mouse-Pack-u.html

Our dollar is now much lower, you'll find maybe around $75 or less to the United States.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 notebook intermittent failure of keyboard

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 notebook, 1 year old.  Windows 7 Home Premium SP1, 8 GB of Ram.  I have an external wired keyboard (Logitech K120) and a separate wireless mouse.  Frequently in the past few weeks, I noticed that the keyboard will fail once the laptop worked for a while, usually when the laptop is in "sleep".  I hear by fails, * TWO * external and the internal keyboard.  Nor will respond to any strikes at all.  Mouse control is fine, even when the keyboard has failed.

If I rebooted the system, it works well again.

I think that when I saw this before, I tried to disconnect the external keyboard, but that doesn't matter, because the integrated keyboard does not work or the other.

I guess this could result from certain automatic Windows driver installation or upgrade?  Does anyone have advice for the diagnosis or verification of current drivers?

I have just closed the lid of the laptop, to force the machine mode 'sleep'.  When I opened the lid, the system has taken over, I can log in via the scanner digital, the mouse works but the keyboard has disappeared.  I had to reboot the system, update this message.

    fmaurais,

    Try the following steps:

Control Panel-> hardware and sound-> Power Options-> change Plan (of the current plan selected) settings-> change the advanced power settings-> parameter of selective suspension of USB-> Disable (both)

Control Panel-> hardware and sound-> Power Options-> change Plan (of the current plan selected) settings-> change the advanced power settings-> PCI-Express-> Link State Power Management-> Disable (both)

I read on a Microsoft page that is who can solve some problems "out of sleep."

    computerwhiz90,

I'll see if I can get a model of your laptop to see if I can reproduce the problem.

I have a HP Pavilion g6-2324sl with windows 8. This morning I turn on my pc and my keyboard do not work. I already use the virtual keyboard on this pc preinsralled and I am looking for the solution on the HP Web site but I did not find any help or the original driver. Hello

Turn off the laptop now hold the SHIFT key as you click Shut down and then disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.  Press and hold the Power button for 30 seconds.  Reinsert the battery and plug in the AC adapter.

Robinet tap away at the key esc that you start the computer to launch the Start Menu, and then select f10 to open the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the default values (sometimes it's f9, but the menu below indicates the correct key), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press ENTER.  Press f10 to save the setting and still use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and press on enter.

    This makes all the difference?

    Kind regards

  • HP Pavilion Notebook Gaming -: out of game keyboard

HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook - 15-ak112nl (ENERGY STAR)

    Hello world

I bought this laptop from game to play easy passing a few fps game (Unreal Tournament)

Well well... the built-in keyboard stops working for a few seconds of randomly!

This problem is circumvented playng with a usb keyboard, not at ease, I'm very disappointed with the absolute lack of assistance, seems that there are no solutions.

What a cell phone game... shame.

    Hello

The only option I see and that may be worth trying is to make sure that you are running the latest version of the bios ( F.82 Rev.A ) she mentions "fix a problem with the W, A & D keys - see the cva on the following link.

    http://FTP.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp77001-77500/sp77359.CVA

You can check the version of the current bios of notebooks by holding down the fn key and pressing esc.

If you are running a previous revision, F.82 Rev.A can be found on the following link.

    http://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp77001-77500/sp77359.exe

If you are already using this bios, or it is not correct the problem, my best advice would be to contact HP about this if the machine is still under warranty - if necessary, you can check the status of your warranty here.

    Contact HP starting here.

    Kind regards
