Here's the thing: I tried to install the 10 Windows in a laptop Acer TravelMate 5742, he ran incredibly slow, beautiful instalation 3 hours or longer. But just when he was about to finish somethig happens and it tent to restore the operating system (windows 7 Enterprise.. original I think)
It restarts and the windows welcome screen 7, I connect and BAM! a nice screen black and all I see is the mouse. Then I realized that the model was not really compatible with W10
I tried to restore the system, but there was no restore points, but despite this, I get a message from antivirus who said it needed to update the virus database.
Any suggestions?
Hello
Have you tried to make the instructions provided by mySh4d0w? Are still meet the black screen when you connect?
If you have already tried to run a system restore but restore points are not available, another thing you can do is to start your computer in Safe Mode and check the drivers and startup programs. To do so, please follow the steps listed below:
- Turn on your computer and then press and hold F8 key as your computer starts. This will bring you to the Advanced Boot Optionsscreen.
- Press the arrow key down until it highlights the Safe Mode or Safe Mode with network and press enter.
- If you do not experience the black screen then on the Safe Mode, try to uninstall the graphics driver as it often causes the same scenario.
- Restart your computer and check if you are still affected by the same. If still the same, then try to disable startup programs by accessing the Safe Mode once more. In safe mode, press the Windows key + R > type msconfig > click OK. This will launch The System Configuration utility.
- Click on Startup tab > turn off or disable your startup programs > click OK > then restart your computer.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you

How to remove the load operating system prompts for options in Dual boot
Original title: remove the extra operating system - without a rear-updisc!
I need to remove an additional laptop operating system, but don't have not a disk of re - install the operating system, I don't want.
I bought a laptop with Windows Vista. My father also uses the laptop, but hate Vista, so it has installed an older operating system. Fortunately now he has his own laptop, and I am free to remove the old operating system (it slows things down!). How can I do this without a backup of Windows Vista disk?
Thanks for any advice.
Hello
I suggest you go through the steps and check if it helps.
Right click on my computer
(a) click on properties
(b) go to the Advanced tab
(c) click on settings under startup & recovery
(d) change the seconds to display the operating system to 0
(e) to the operating system you want to start the default operating system to help the drop drop-down
(f) click Ok
(g) click on apply
(h) click Ok
I would also ask you to contact the manufacturer of the hardware for the recovery media. You can also check if the system has a recovery partition, and if so, try to access, which will reinstall the original operating system.

My laptop is preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Basic. At the free launch Windows 10 I downloaded the same and after 2 months, the hard drive crashed. The repair shop trying to fix formatting, but could not revive. This is why I bought a new hard drive and repair charge shot Windows 7 Ultimate edition.
Now, I want to download 10 W but not able to do that, during installation, a problem arises and the previous operating system has been restored. When I posted the question about how to solve this problem, I was told to try the download by way of USB/ISO file.
Now my question is that
one) can I reload Windows 7 Home basic as I have the product key?
(b) I can then download Windows 10 according to the normal procedure?
I'm not tech savvy, afraid to download files in USB and then load into the laptop, so this question.

You can directly download Windows 10. Windows 7 complete edition currently installed is not genuine.
When you upgraded from a previous version of Windows, what happened is that (your PC) hardware will get a digital right, a unique signature of the computer which is stored on the Microsoft Activation servers. The real Windows 7 or Windows 8 license you were using previously will be exchanged with a key to the diagnosis.
Whenever you need to reinstall Windows 10 on this machine, go just to reinstall Windows 10. It automatically reactivates.
Therefore, there is no need to know or get a product key, if you must reinstall Windows 10, you can use your Windows 7 or Windows 8 product key or use the reset function in Windows 10.

VN7 791G - does not start the Windows operating system
So I got my Acer VN7 - 791 G for 5 months now and until last month, everything was going fine until suddenly, the system has become VERY slow (operating system and programs have been suspended) and the boot process has long redicilously. To exclude a software problem, that I decided to restore the default computer via Acer recovery, hoping that would solve the problem.
Unfortuantely it's still very slow after a successful reset and all of a sudden one day after a reboot the system decided he did not want to join the opening scene of session windows more and decided to stay on the loading screen Acer or the loading screen 'Prepare auto repair' Acer.
I decided to leave the system to run to see if it would eventually reach the opening of windows session, but he never did and she now does is continue to stay on the Acer loading screen or gives me a black screen with the mouse pointer (nothing happens if I have nothing at this point (, or if I leave it running). Same thing happens when I try to press Alt + F10, it's just a black screen.
As it is still under warranty, I intend to ship to the Acer Service, however I read some bad reviews before I do I wanted to see if:
(a) someone has had the above question on their model, and
(b) are the comments that I've read about Infoteam Acer repairs without merit?Thank you very much.
Sounds like your hard drive is broken.

Restore the default Start Menu
Hello. I asked an unusual question that I didn't have an answer to and it intrigued me to search my curiosity got the best of me. So here goes.
How to restore the default Start Menu on the start of OS Windows XP and earlier versions? On the new operating systems, the options on the Start Menu has a button to do this, but XP and earlier does not work. I made lots and lots of research on the Internet and to my surprise, nobody ever showed how it could be done. (I will not say "never" but if its out there, the solution escaped me.)
Then someone wants to take a crack at it?
Thanks to all in advance!

The size of the base operating system Windows Vista on my Aspire 3680 2682 is larger than 20 GB, is this normal?
Hello
Yes; It's normal.
In addition to the original operating system, you have updates, restore points of the system (set at 15% of the capacity of the hard drive) etc, etc.
It will continue to grow.
If you are worried about anything whatsoever, do a disk cleanup.

You can download this program for FREE and see what fits on the disc.
