  • HP Pavilion dv7 will not start Windows 7

I need assistance or advice from those who have more experience or a more extensive knowledge in this area. I'm working on an HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook pc. Product # is LW181UA #ABA. It has a CPU of 2 gig Hz Intel i7, 8 GB of memory (2 4 gig mem modules), a Hitachi 750 gigbyte HD. He ran and passed the tests of memory, burn in tests, tests of hard drive and startup tests that are run by pressing F2 during power on. When you arrive at the start of the operating system screen. It has Windows 7 64-bit version of the operating system. Then he begins to show the bar graph to slip at the bottom of the screen shows the percent of loading hangs and emits a constant beeeping. If I try to go for repair options or selections of recovery, it does the same thing. For me, I don't see how I can have a hardware problem because it seems to pass memory, disk and start diagnosis? The only thing the owner said to me was that they had spilled a glass of water or soda on the laptop. I expected the pc must be dead or have a power supply problem but not the case. Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated because I don't know where to go from here. Also, I use an external keyboard.

    Thank you

    any Advisor.

Maybe it depends on exactly why the drive has failed and went to where he is.

You may be able to find an adapter that plugs into the drive hard sata and a USB port on your laptop. Perhaps TigerDirect.com or Ebay? Once you have the new installed hard drive and operating system in place, you can plug it in and try to access the drive through Windows Explorer.

If this does not work, and depending on how much you need the files, you can download something like Hiren Boot CD that has a few tools in it that can allow you to access the data, but which may require considerable time and effort to understand and use the tools correctly.

  • Pavilion dv7 will not start

    Hello

so, my HP Pavilion dv7 laptop computer 1003eo won't start. When I turn on it, all the light light up and I hear the usual fan noise but the screen remains black.

I removed the charger and the battery and press the power one button couple of times (and held it for about 30 seconds). Unfortunately, which did not help.

I also tried replacing the RAM modules, but I am always greeted by the same black screen.

Is there anything else that I could do or should I just accept the fact that the phone is dead?

I think that you blew your laptop Cpu or Gpu.

    Because there is no screen.

You can try to remove the battery and press the power button 10 times.

Then leave it for an hour.

    Have you still warranty?

    Drunks.

  • Pavilion p40 fails to start after installing a gtx 760

    Hello

I recently bought a new graphics card, the power and the case to my p40 pavilion in.

Move the computer to the new case went very well, I installed a new PSU to power the 760 gtx.

Also: nothing blew up, which is nice.

But after the installation of the card and all wrap, start the computer fails. The message appears but freezes, the access to the contents of the bios while the card is installed with internal graph is impossible.

My question is: Y at - it no way to update the BIOS that can solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    Thank you

The problem you are having noted above and seems to be a problem with the new maps video PCI-e 3.0 and your motherboard. There was a discussion of the present in a thread at Overclock.comwith the link provided by @TheOldMan .

    KHarley, welcome to the forum.

This error message said you that your hard drive has failed.  The only way to solve the problem is to replace the drive.  You should buy a hard drive of the same size or larger to ensure that your recovery media will work.  Here's a guide to help you troubleshoot the drive from the BIOS.  Also, here is a guide to help you to restore the system after the drive is replaced.

  • Pavilion s3714uk failed to start

Have a HP Pavilion s3714uk who entered what seemed a normal hibernation, this hibernation could not be interrupted except via the power switch.

Now the unit now does not restart correctly, sometimes gives no keyboard or screen power and gives a beep long intermitantly.

Other occasions appears at startup but freezes a few seconds of operation, and once more the only way to turn off via the power supply.

Not certain hardware or software problem?

Try clean the modules of memory (live RAM) with some isopropyl alcohol (70% or more) with a cotton swab. Not all that, just the Golden connectors that are in contact. As many times as they get dirty or for some reason any just crazy. After having cleaned them just their resettlement into the slots. If you do not about alcohol, just their resettlement. do not use water or other cleaning solutions as they could ruin your memory.

ALL THIS ASSUMING YOU HAVE WINDOWS 7 OR VISTA. Some things can be applicable to other operating systems as well.

Above all this below try to up in safe mode by pressing f8 at startup. See if the same thing happens.

If this doesn't seem to work, and I'm all this quite out there, your motherboard may have gone bad or goes wrong.

If she does not post and/or maybe the screen of the bios in a way that you would consider normal, it is most likely a hardware problem.

Simple thing you can do is try to reset the default BIOS or clear the CMOS by removing the battery (if available) or out of all such sources of energy that the battery and the power cord, then hold the button of power for 20 sec (does not always) - note: clear the CMOS, you erase all previous BIOS configurations.

If it it displays and everything goes as or after windows loads to the top, it can be a or.

    Material | Software

Your hard drive may be bad. This could mean that she may have bad physical sectors, in which you would look in a new HARD drive, or they could be logical errors, where all you need to do is run dskchk off the coast of the diskette from windows, possibly within windows repair/installation to repair. If this does not work, start your installation media > press SHIFT + F10 to prompt > type bootrec.exe /fixboot > press on enter > Type Bootrec.exe /fixmbr > press on enter > type exit > reboot machine.

My thoughts of the experience: probably a bad Board or ram the problem you describe. I would now like to how things work!

  • Pavilion dv7-6c75eo: 10 start Windows (black screen for about 1 min.)

Windows 7 (System. org) was running fast and good.

Updated to 10 and after a few reboots, it has been installed and working.

whenever I start cold blue windows logo appears and the device goes into screen black.

It remains so for at least 1 minute and then the login screen appears. All the drivers are updated day/install.

I tried to do a clean 10 x 64 Windows and installed well installation and rebooted.

This time it was much faster (a few seconds) and I went into the Device Manager.

I could see that Windows installed the drivers for various devices like the unknown devices disappeared one by one.

Some time after (with 1 remaining peripheral unknown not related to the problem) it restarts.

Now I'm on the black screen again whenever I restart.

The operating system could be zero, but not sure.

What is the error? Can't seem to find anything online. Very much appreciate your help.

    Thank you!

It seems that the hard drive has failed/is a failure and should be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get a quality at least equal the original in order to use recovery disks. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.

  • HP recovery disks does not start in my HP Pavilion Dv7

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 that I have to wipe clean due to spyware. I bought the HP system recovery DVD and on them it says "to start, insert the disc into the optical drive of your computer and follow the on-screen instructions." Unfortunately, I insert the disc, and I get the info from the upcoming disc, but no instructions. I even tried to make the laptop run from the disk drive at first upward. When I did he asked me to create system recovery discs. I didn't need to make them, I have them from HP. Just frustrated about why the HP drive are not following the instructions.

Here is a picture of the screen I get when the disc is inserted:

I really hope that someone can help me that I've been waiting to do this for weeks, since I had to wait for discs.

    Thank you

    KC

You are the very welcome, KC.

If you can not boot from the DVD, it may indeed be a bad disk.

Also, make sure that you have disk 1 in the first to start from.

And Yes, you should get a very brief message to hit any key to boot from the CD, then watch carefully for it.

If you miss it must start over and restart the PC.

  • HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx does not start with continuous flashing capslock

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion dv7-4065dx laptop with Windows 7 64 bit that won't start or go to the Bios screen.  When the laptop is turned on, you hear the fan from the system start, start button / stop brighter lights and the caps lock button starts to Flash continuously once every three to four seconds.  The activity of the disc is also light on but with no flashing red.  No changes have been made to the laptop and it worked perfectly well a few hours earlier.  I tried the hard reset of the computer and the reinstallation of the memory cards, but the laptop would be still not start.  Any help to determine what the problem is with the computer would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

A defective processor can be repaired by a local PC store, but I highly recommend you contact the HP support by phone to see what options are available. HP repair center would be able to identify the appropriate components that will need to be replaced in the rare case that the test gave flashing evil code.
