Pavilion dv9640us: diskless system repair

I need to do a repair system, but do not have a system disk

Yes, I'm aware that this is for Vista and a Windows 7 installation disc can be used for a Vista repair.  I am also aware that a system disk came with the computer.  You can also do repair disk on a work computer Windows 7, your, a friend or a library.  Or you can do an installation disc for Windows 7 from the download page of M$.

If you have a friend with Windows 7, a repair disc can be done.  There used to be a download for the system repair disc, but it was taken down, so you need a working Windows 7 PC group to make.  A Windows 7 installation disc can also be used - boot the disk and choose repair instead of the installation of the screen after the first screen.

I understand that you get a blue screen with the error "Unhandled Thread Exception system" without additional information.   He launched the auto repair, but it does not work.   You do not have to use restore points and you were unable to do a reset. You have also failed to start in safe mode.

As you have not been able to do a reset, I suggest you try a refresh first.  If this is not possible, then do a recovery.

    Hello

If your laptop will not create a system repair disc, here are a few other options.

    1. you can use an other PC 64 bit of Windows 7 to create a CD to repair.

    2. you can download the ISO from the link below.

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn to properly burn the ISO to a CD.

  • Satellite C660 - continues to enter the system repair

    Can someone help me?

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660. Yesterday, it crashed. When it restarted, it went in the repair of the system and whenever I rebooted, it entered the system repair. Don't know if it is relivant but I get a windown come with drvload.exe back.

So I did a factory restore hdd thinking this would clearly be the problem, but it didn't. Now I always get a repair system each time I do updates of mircosoft when I restart, more I can't hardly open programs like firefox, add and remove programs.

I now use a check of HDD to see if I have bad sectors, have also scan mcfee which showed no virus.

Any suggestions would be grateful because do not know what to try next.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

    > So I did a factory restore hdd thinking this would clearly be the problem, but it didn't.
That would mean he s no malfunction of the software and the problem seems to be hardware related. HARD drive recovery can restore the original settings of the software box and they are pre-tested by Toshiba. So, theoretically, he could be sector failed HARD drive, RAM failure or something else

    > Now, I always get a repair system each time I do updates of mircosoft
This would mean that the problem appears only after Windows update or I understand something wrong?

  • Windows XP system repair and commmand prompt still does not

I'm still having a promblem with my computer. System repair and command prompt still does not. I got a response from Joselbarra, but I can't find the link to meet him. So if you see this here some answers to the questions you asked. My system is microsoft windows XP Edition family version 2002, service pack 3 (although in Add or remove programs there are no size MB next to service pack 3 and all my windows programs).

I do not have anti virus and have ever since I bought my computer 6 years ago (I know, but I'm paying for it now).

My /CDDVD player has not worked for about 2 years.

Windows XP is already installed on my computer when I bought it. The CD only I can find is Microsoft Works 7.

My problem is that system restore was taking more than an hour to work. Then I disabled my jeanmarie, until it gives me the message that my restore was successful (or not). When I turned it on again it seemed have lost all value files and text processing, user account, microsoft msn password. So I can't access the internet to download anything.

I tried through the command prompt as Joselbarra suggested. VBScript and jscript regsvr32 succeeded. However I mshtml was not. I had messages that said.

LoadLibrary ("mshtml"), the failled specified module could not be found.

No name of the specified DLL.

  • system repair

Impossible to change the date or month on system repair screen, I put manually the date I wanted, but it also highlights todays date and the custom are loose. I have something virus going on that's why I wanted to come back to fall 1 2010... can someone help me? I'll throw the computer out the window soon!

all dates that are highlighted in bold / confirming that there is a restore point / available to restore the file system.

But if there is no date highlighted, it may be that there are simply not available to restore points because none were made by the system or by yourself.  However if you did the restore points, then maybe the settings for the system restore function have not changed to ensure sufficient disk space and restore points have been removed or if you incurreda single scenario then the system restore calendar is empty of restore points.  so, if you have made a 12-01-2010 restore point, but is not on the calendar, then is are a few scripts available that can rebuild the blank calendar.

In addition, if you think you have a virus, although you program antivirus did not confirm an infection, restore points and backup can actually restore the infections when they restore system files, even if they are infected system files.

Perhaps, the instability of your system is caused by other things and not an infection.

Original title: when I try to run the system repair ffrom the original Vista 32 bit dvd, I get the error "the file i2omp.sys is corrupt" is anyone know the solution for this problem? Thank you, Kelsey.

The message arrives as soon as I select "repair system" can not find the file on the Windows Dvd.

    Hello

    1. why you try to run the system on your computer repair?

    2. when exactly you receive this error message?

If you receive the error message while booting from the Windows Vista DVD it means that the file i2omp.sys is corrupted.

You may need to make arrangements for a Windows Vista disk that corresponds to the same edition, as it is installed on your computer. Later, try to repair the system on your computer.

How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace textbooks?
