SFC scanning problems - "system repair pending".

I'm trying to run a sfc scan and I get the answer "there is a system repair pending which requires the restart ends."  Back to zero does not solve the problem.  How can I fix?  I hope the race said scan will help me solve another problem that has been plaguing me for the last six months - my laptop cannot detect new updates automatically.

You're right, it's too long to post here. I tried to send mine here. No go.

    I only suggest:

    1. use Windows Live Skydrive to transfer the cbs log. Then send us a link in the newspaper.
But apparently you don't have SkyDrive.

SkyDrive is free and is part of the Windows Live products. Consider installing it.

    Hi rdoran,
You perform the steps from the administrator account?

To determine which files can be repaired by the System File Checker tool, follow these steps:
    Step 1:

NOTE: When SFC is running, it records its actions in the C:\WINDOWS\LOGS\CBS\CBS. NEWSPAPER. You can find specific entries of SFC searching [SR] tags in the newspaper.

For how, see the SFC analysis details in the CBS. JOURNAL:

    * Open an elevated command prompt.

    * In the elevated command prompt, type findstr/c: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > %userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt and press ENTER.

    * Close the elevated command prompt.

    * Click the sfcdetails.txt file just set your desktop to see the SFC scan details (those with the tags [SR]) to the CBS. NEWSPAPER.

    * You can safely delete the sfcdetails.txt file later if you wish.
Reply back with the details in the log file.

If it does not help to complete the scan, you can complete the steps below and check out them.

You're able to boot in safe mode ?

    Step 2:

For more information on how to log in to safe mode, see the following Microsoft article:

If you're able to boot in safe mode, you can perform a scan of the file system (CFS) auditor.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Step 3:

In addition, you can connect to the command prompt and check the drive for errors, and check if that makes things more simple.

At the command prompt, type the following command and press ENTER:

    Chkdsk /r

Note: If bad sectors are detected when running check disk utility and attempt recovery of bad sectors is verified during the verification of the drive for errors, data in the bad sector can be lost as they tried to recover bad sectors.

  • Satellite C660 - continues to enter the system repair

    Can someone help me?

I have a Toshiba Satellite C660. Yesterday, it crashed. When it restarted, it went in the repair of the system and whenever I rebooted, it entered the system repair. Don't know if it is relivant but I get a windown come with drvload.exe back.

So I did a factory restore hdd thinking this would clearly be the problem, but it didn't. Now I always get a repair system each time I do updates of mircosoft when I restart, more I can't hardly open programs like firefox, add and remove programs.

I now use a check of HDD to see if I have bad sectors, have also scan mcfee which showed no virus.

Any suggestions would be grateful because do not know what to try next.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

    > So I did a factory restore hdd thinking this would clearly be the problem, but it didn't.
That would mean he s no malfunction of the software and the problem seems to be hardware related. HARD drive recovery can restore the original settings of the software box and they are pre-tested by Toshiba. So, theoretically, he could be sector failed HARD drive, RAM failure or something else

    > Now, I always get a repair system each time I do updates of mircosoft
This would mean that the problem appears only after Windows update or I understand something wrong?

  • How can I find the code for the corrupted by the sfc scan files?

I'm new to computers and I'm not aware about many of these things, I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 1545 with a Vista Home Premium operating system on a 64-bit platform, I did a sfc scan and it found 8 files corrupted. I have also a code will correct corrupted files, but I don't know where to find the codes for the corrupted files to put in the code for fixing corrupted files. I found the log file for the corrupted files and it's the same as the instructions I had to use the code to fix the corrupted files but there is nothing in the log file that corresponds with the file name needed to repair the corrupted files. Where can I find these files? Thanks for any help.

    Hello

Not sure what you mean by you have a code to solve those? Create a sfcdetails.txt and that you post a copy
each section of a message here - they will repeat in order to do not post duplicate sections, as appropriate.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Many files that SFC cannot resolve are not important.

Start - type in the search box-> find CMD in top - click right on - RUN AS ADMIN

put the command from below (copy and paste) in this box and her and then press ENTER.

    findstr/c: "[SR]" %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log > sfcdetails.txt

who creates the sfcdetails.txt file in the folder that you are in when you run it.

So if you're in C:\Windows\System32 > then you will need to look in that folder for the file.

How to analyze the log file entries that the Microsoft Windows Resource Checker (SFC.exe) program
    in Windows Vista
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/928228

This creates sfcdetails.txt in C:\Windows\System32 find and you can post the errors in a message
here. NOTE: there are probably duplicates so please only post once each section error.

You can read the newspaper/txt files easier if you right click on Notepad or Wordpad then RUN AS ADMIN - then
You can navigate to sfcdetails.txt (in C:\Windows\System32) or cbs.log (in C:\Windows\Logs) as needed.
(You may need to search sfcdetails.txt if it is not created in the default folders.)

    I hope this helps.

I'm still having a promblem with my computer. System repair and command prompt still does not. I got a response from Joselbarra, but I can't find the link to meet him. My /CDDVD player has not worked for about 2 years.

Windows XP is already installed on my computer when I bought it. The CD only I can find is Microsoft Works 7.

My problem is that system restore was taking more than an hour to work. Then I disabled my jeanmarie, until it gives me the message that my restore was successful (or not). When I turned it on again it seemed have lost all value files and text processing, user account, microsoft msn password. So I can't access the internet to download anything.

I tried through the command prompt as Joselbarra suggested. VBScript and jscript regsvr32 succeeded. However I mshtml was not. I had messages that said.
