Pavilion g6-1d65ca: Second monitor works, third monitor cannot be activated.

I've seen people fix this problem using USB adapters and install a driver for it, but for my part, so I use a HDMI adapter, that is:

I try to use 3 monitors (my laptop screen, 1 VGA + 1 VGA port using an HDMI adapter), but my computer only let's me use the monitors 1. When I Plug one, it works, but as soon as I plug the other, it won't work.

I went to the command screen resolution pannel on windows 10, tried everything, but as already said, it only allows me to use 2 monitors: it is always "off" for some reason I don't know.

I went to the center of AMD catalyst, and the same problem: when I try to activate the 2nd monitor, it is said to disable one of the other 2 screens.

If you need more information let me know, thanks!

Hello

Your configuration will not work. If you want to use 3 screens (laptop screen + 2 external monitors) on your machine, you need more hardware. One option is to use the port replicator USB ports that supports the double monotors or DisplayLink certified. I posted my arounf tests last year.

Kind regards.

  • Pavilion 15 n005TU: second monitor does not

I have just connected a Samsung (Res 1920 x 1080) monitor to my HP Pavilion laptop (1366 x 768 Res).

On double, everything works fine. The second screen mirrors the laptop.

Custom, the only thing that shows on the Samsung is the taskbar and wallpaper desktop (no icons).

I can move the mouse around the Samsung screen and select programs, changing what is on my laptop screen. But nothing appears or changes to the Samsung screen, it continues just show the desktop wallpaper.

I put in correspondence of the two resolutions, which does nothing.

    Can anyone help please?

    Hi @RobM1 ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion 15 Notebook n005TU and problems with the connection of a monitor. Under your Control Panel control Panel\All Items\Display\Screen resolution you should list as 1 and 2. They need not be listed in several screens to expand these screens. How do you have the monitor connected?

Here is a documentfor troubleshooting help to connect a second display.

How do you connect the monitors? What kind of cord?

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion 15-n038sa: second monitor

    Hello

I was just wondering, I was able to connect the Asus-PG27AQ to my HP Pavilion n038sa 15 monitor?

I only have AMD Radeon HD 7620 G + double graphics HD 8670 M here...

If it is impossible, what would be the best Matt IPS monitor that works with my RESUME and will work with nvidia 980 TI as well?

    Thank you

    Marek

I mean his computer equipment and there specifications. The service manual will show what the external port resolution is able to provide. Your laptop would be displayed to a 4K monitor, but the image would be in a box in the Middle surrounded by image black and white.

  • U2414H, Dual, laptop, Windows 10, Nvidia GTX 960 M, no STDS to the second monitor?

    Hi all

I hope that I have included all relevant information in the present, but ask if I missed something. I bought two of the screens U2414H and a Windows 10 laptop computer powered by GTX 960 M with HDMI and Mini DP ports. My goal was to be able to the Garland of the whole U2414H screens so I could use my laptop out and about, and when connection back to the monitors of would have to plug in a cable and get two screens. In theory, but...

I followed the instructions and using two Mini-DP to DP cables, connected the mini laptop RFP RFP on the first screen. DP on this same screen highlights Mini DP on the second monitor. I activated the DisplayPort 1.2 on both of these screens. I can't get any signal on the second monitor, it boils down to the power saving mode.

Otherwise, I decided I would try using two cables and ditch the idea of DP STD I can at least use the two screens. So I have laptop HDMI to a screen and the MiniDP to another, and therefore, that alone will never work at a time. Individually, they work very well, both with HDMI or DP. But the two connection fails every time. When I tried to connect a display of alternative supporting HDMI as the second, which works very well.

So I had an autour reading and it seems that it is common to have problems of connectivity to these screens. This brings me well on my two questions:

    (1) is there something that would work?

    (2) assuming that there is nothing that works, Dell can swap these screens for two that will achieve what I need?

    Thank you

    Dave

In MST, DP 1.2 should be turned off (disabled) on the second monitor.

Laptop AMD on--> U2414H CDM to cable DP--> DP U2414H #1 in (DP 1.2 enabled) (Port #3 in the image)

    #1 U2414H (Port #5 in photo) DP--> DP U2414H CDM cable--> 2 # U2414H CDM in (DP 1.2 disabled) (Port #4 in photo)

When you use only no STDS, is the lid of the laptop open all trying to run two monitors of U2414H? This laptop can even run three screens, laptop LCD + 1 # U2414H + 2 # U2414H?

  • HP Pavilion a6750f: problem dual monitor (Second monitor not detected in DVI input)

Hello everyone, I'm going to by a problem of not being able to setp toward the top of my second monitor.

I own a HP Pavilion a6750f with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 card on board running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit operating system.  In the back, I have two VGA and DVI inputs, VGA works, but when I connect the other monitor which is connected to a DVI adapter on the back, Windows does not detect any.

I tried to go the DVI adapter to the other monitor and noticed that it refuses to work. I will note that my display drivers are all updated and I activated the option of customization to detect the second monitor, nothing shows up, it will not be the same acknolowdge that there are several screens.

I think it's weird that I don't see this problem being issued when I was searching for a resolution on google for hours now. If someone can help me here please I would be very happy.

Just to remind you try to connect a VGA (analog) monitor to a DVI - D (digital only) output on the computer. This is never going to work as analog and digital are two completely different incompatible signalling methods. With the help of an adapter DVI / VGA passive is the problem that these cards may work with DVI - I or DVI - A output... not DVI - D.

    Wikipedia - DVI;

"More digital, the DVI connector includes pins that carry an analog signal compatible with RGBHV signals in a VGA connector. This allows a VGA monitor be connected to a passive adapter and offers a universal solution for the DVI interface. The analog pins are the four that surround the apartment or cross the blade as shown on the right side of the diagrams below. »

    8 analog vertical sync

    C1 - analog Red
    C2 - analog Green
    C3 - blue analog
    C4 - analog horizontal sync
    C5 - analog ground

Note the absence of the pins on your computer and your so-called card C1, C2, C3 and C4. Without these pins is not just going to work. Still, there is no way to get an analog VGA monitor to work with your digital DVI - D only output using a so-called DVI - D to VGA. You may be able to buy an asset DVI - D to VGA Converter, but this will be expensive and cannot provide a poor video image quality.

As you said, the HP f1703 monitor supports only VGA. However, based on the specifications, your HP w2207h 22 inch LCD monitor supports the entry to a VGA and a HDMI input. HDMI and DVI - D share the same signage and using a HDMI-DVI cable or adapter HDMI-DVI and HDMI Cable will solve your problem. For two monitors running on your computer, please connect as follows:

Computer > HDMI-DVI cable or adapter HDMI-DVI and HDMI Cable > HP w2207h monitor

Computer > VGA cable > HP f1703 monitor

    Please send Bravo

  • HP Pavilion 23-q055na: connect a second monitor to an HP Pavilion 23-q055na all-in-one

    Hello

I just bought a new HP Pavilion 23-q055na printer all in one and wonder if it is possible to connect a second monitor. It has an HDMI output, but my second monitor had a DVI connection (DVI - D single link).

It doesn't seem to be DVI to HDMI converters for sale online, but I don't want to lose my money if it's not going to work.

Anyone has any advice on the best way to connect a second monitor to this PC?

    Thank you

    Ali

    Hi there @Haikugirl

The best choice for you would be a screen that supports a HDMI input you don't need to work with an adapter, at all.  However, there are adapters on the market due to the fact that many adapters are often necessary, and I used the flavors varied in many different situations with great success. In general, I would do some research on the specific device and the brand and are looking for comments before you plan to buy an adapter.

It can never be guaranteed that any device will work in all cases, but if you find a device from a renowned manufacturer, then chances are strongly in your favor.

I would like to begin by ensuring that the DVI input on the monitor works well, before considering an adapter. If it is intermittent in some way, then it is probably not your best choice.

Just my two cents. I hope it helps.

  • PP 2015.3 Second monitor does not work and preferences locked

Just upgraded to 2015.3 and open that I work on the current project. My second monitor has completely stopped playing after years of work. The second monitor shows only the extension of my office. Note that I did not any changes to my machine at the level of the OS x I thought on the upgrade, some preferences might have been reset.

I went into preferences and that no monitor has been checked for video playback. I moved and my second monitor is TICKING as video playback to solve the problem. When I hit OK, nothing happens. The preferences windows remains open. It is never closed. It's as if the program refuses to accept all the changes I want to make. The only way to exit preferences window is to hit Cancel who reverts my changes.

    Any help is appreciated.

Just found the solution to your preferences is not not qualify: it is possible that your user account is not authorized to change the Preferences folder. (No idea how this occurs, mine was going well until I updated to CC2015.3)

Follow the steps under the '' alternative Solution '' to this link and see if it works.

  • Premiere Pro CS6 Mac - second monitor has stopped working

I've been using CS6 configuration dual monitor for a few weeks.  I activated the second screen for video playback in the settings and everything worked very well.  Now for some reason any the second screen no longer works with Premiere Pro for playing video (it will not preview fullscreen) even if for my second monitor option is checked in the preferences. I makes no changes to my system I know.  I really want to understand this because it is quite annoying and frustrating that it worked perfectly for 2 weeks and now it doesn't work at all. (Have restarted system already) Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I spoke with tech support and they were able to help me solve the problem.  The solution involved moving my program on the second monitor and then reverse the setting of the option (IE, do the main monitor my monitor reading)... after that, I went it back by moving the program on the primary monitor and set the secondary monitor as my reading screen.  Seems to work fine now.
