Pavilion: Journal cbs

I had problems bootin my computer.  I ran SFC/scannow, and he noted that there that he cannot fix corrupted files.  He created a newspaper - windir\logs\CBS\CBS.log, but I can't find anywhere, the newspaper.  Can anyone?  This computer was made for me so I have not the original disks, but I'd like to understand how to solve my problems.

dampat,

You can set your Windows updates to warn to make them stop killing your computer.

Updates - when and how

Any time I had a lot of monster with Windows updates, I turned back and read on each update - Yes, really - and then just threw one or two updates on the system at a time.

Think about it: there may be a bad update being thrown on the system.  No sfc scan can fix that.

Just a thought.

Let updates the value warn if you have a choice about when the system updates...

Keep a Restore Point very practical...

  • Windows 8 KB3000850 update fails to update due to the corruption of system files in MSDTC.log

    Greetings,

I seem to have a serious problem with corruption of system files. And before anyone suggests, I ran the SFC and MARIKEL, can repair corruption. Corruption occurs in the MSDTC.log file and causes the update to KB3000850 to not settle. I know that it is the source of the problem, because I checked in the CBS. I'll copy and paste the appropriate section below.

In addition, my OneDrive has problems with commissioning. Stuck it doing. No idea if they are related. I tried to do a system restore to a restore point that several days ago, and he almost killed my computer. Somehow he damaged a file critical and would not start Windows, update the system would not work because it claims that the drive has been locked, he tried claiming my recovery media was not valid (it was originally windows 8 CD I used to install from), and finally I was able to get Windows to recover using the tool to restart system available on the CD. After reinstallation of updates, problems persisted. I don't know how to deal with this type of file corruption. Could someone please help.

If you nead the SFCdetails, I can post them.

I got exactly the same problem with the MSDTC.log. I finally just gave up any attempt to install the update. The tendency to blame the problems with this update on Avast (that I have not installed) have obscured the fact that there is something in this update that wreaks havoc on many computers Windows 8.1.

  • Need help to install Vista Ultimate x 64 SP1 - error 0x800F081F - standard corrections do not work

I have trouble getting Service Pack 1 installed on Windows Vista x 64 final.

Current issue: SP1 does not appear as an update, and I have not yet installed.  Windows Update tells me that I'm completely up to date.

History (memory, may be some errors):

    • Performed the new installation, including Vista Ultimate x 64 disk erasure (MSDN)
    • Updated to current with windows update
    • Installed Office 2007 Ultimate (MSDN) (don't know where update what happened)
    • Active Windows (could be a problem doing this after you install updates?)
    • Installed CPU usage, network, gadgets sidebar discs counter meter
    • Installed Live Family Safety
    • Installed Chrome
    • Installed Google Apps
    • Google Pack antivirus installed
    • Installed Google Earth
    • Attempted a manual installation of SP1 - fails with the error 0x800F081F
At the present time, I can't get a manual of installation of SP1 to work, and Windows Update tells me that I am up to date.  -> System control panel tells me I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate, but does not list all service packs.  He also confirmed that the x 64 edition is installed.
    Steps for debugging:
    • Installed the drivers for the sound card motherboard
    • A ran complete chkdsk on drive to repair bad sectors
    • Ran the system file checker - find corrupted files, but can't fix
    • Journal CBS does contain no [SF] cannot repair the entries
    • Installed continues to update the system tool - tool does eventually make a update facility - who settle whenever I run

[1] this is a new installation, so nothing has been pre-installed.

[2] the only antivirus that was installed is the one that is included in the google pack.  I took it...

[3] SP1 does not appear as an update

[4] I'm strongly considering just clean wiping and [do a clean install]

A1. If Vista was preinstalled on the computer when you bought it and you use the OEM disks (or hidden restore partition) to reinstall Windows, any antivirus free trial which initially is preinstalled on the computer will be reinstalled, but not valid.

A2. You have therefore no anti-virus application installed. I see.

A3. There are several prerequisite updates that must be installed before SP1 will be offered. See...

I * think * that means a file system cannot be found by the component maintenance base [CBS]. We can watch the cbs.log newspaper in WINDOWS\logs\CBS, and * hopefully *, know what file system is the culprit.

Be aware that this newspaper can be very large.

Start at the * bottom * journal cbs.log and do a find for the error.

When the log will open in Notepad, scroll all the way down, click on edit, find

Enter the error in find it what: line

Under Direction: Put a check mark next to the top

    Then click Search

  • System File Checker disorders.

Tried to install Turbo Tax 2010 but it returned the error code 1935 'an error occurred during the installation of Assembly.' and provided a repair to fix tool.  Downloaded and extracted the exe file and it ran.  He said that all the registry files are OK and run the System File Checker.  It is evident the following files which cannot be repaired in the CBS.

What should I do to fix these files?  Journal CBS below notes.

Upgrades or repairs will remove anything from my computer? I am currently unable to burn anything to disc right now, and there are several elements that while on the two disks, I did not copies of DVD even. I just want to know if I have to worry about losing those.

I have Norton Antivirus on this computer. I used Ad-Aware before as well (and removed from). I upgraded my Norton online, so if I remove it, I think I'm just screwed. : S

I'll test the hard drive itself later today, dragging my other computer. I will also test the cable passing the cables connected to the readers (suggestion of Dell).

If SFC finds serious errors that it cannot repair, you may need to do a upgrade Vista repair install.

If you do not have a DVD of Microsoft Vista, borrow one from a friend.

Read this tutorial on how to do a repair installation:

  • Computer crashes randomly in any program. ___ __

Just installed Win7 on new PC. After running sfc/scannow, it finds corrupted files, but could not solve some of them. Journal CBS read:... mcbuilder.exe is not actual file [l:26 {13}] 'mcbuilder.exe'...  [{Could reproject not corrupt the file}] "mcbuilder.exe"... file source in the store is also corrupted.  CHKDSK has come up without any problem. • Windows could not connect to the system event notification service service.

    Hello

For the moment, I have a problem as in the title. Whenever I have Windows startup, a message box appears to tell me that it couldn't connect to the system event notification service service. I also lost my Aero theme too, they was disabled and cannot be enabled. I checked all the services, and they work fine. I tried "'winsock reset", "sfc/scannow" but nothing doesn't change.

BTW, here is my journal CBS . I use Nod32 Antivirus.

    Sincerely,

    Quan Nguyen T.A.

The WAT update seems to have been falsified.

The installed product key is a MSDN one which was broadcast all over the internet.

    https://www.Google.com/search?q=2CGXT-3BQDX-DG8BM

    The installation is a counterfeit.

You must reformat and reinstall using authentic materials and key.

  • Do not uninstall the language on Windows 7 Ultimate pack

I tried to upgrade to Windows 8 (my upgrade key is just for Windows 8, not Windows 8.1), but then it stops on a message windows Explorer (Yes, instead of display in the install window, it appears on IE which does not help me much) saying I can't go further if I uninstall all first language packs.

So I did, but the Korean language pack fails to uninstall. It's the final result:

I tried using the following commands, also without success:

    Lpksetup/u ko-KR/s

    DISM/Online/Remove-Package /packagename:Microsoft-Windows-Client-Refresh-LanguagePack-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~ko-KR~6.1.7601.175146.1.7601.17514

That's what I get from the windows event log "setup" on the event viewer:

I can't do a clean install on this system, this is why I really need to find a way to do it.

I cannot even delete all files. If I could just 'put' all information registry for "Absent" again for this Korean package would be nice.

    Any help is welcome.

OK, I found the solution and finally managed to remove the language pack and also install Windows 8! :)

The CBS.log newspaper above, I decided to intentionally remove the file that was put to fire the error "Access denied". Then rerun the uninstallation, another file pulled the same mistake... but the CBS.log newspaper accused the first file is not found, so it would be completely ignored the "restoration" of the package file.

So I realized that it was the uninstall was done: trying to do a "System Restore" 2 years ago. The file may be corrupted or would be too old for this... anyway, it doesn't matter. Since I knew he was trying to restore, I ran the Windows system cleaning and remove EVERYTHING, including the restore points "Service Packs" (by the way, that made me almost 7 GB of extra space!).

Then I restarted the computer and was able to remove the package!

  • Hash mismatch

Someone knows how to fix this? It is linked to a 64-bit Windows 8 platform and seems to be quite common (see Web results for "Amd64\CNBJ2530. PBO"prncacla.inf" (). "

No apparent defect, but very slow start, especially one in the morning.
Below which appears in the journal CBS.log after several sfc/scannow (s) who say it is impossible to repair damaged files.

I tried to fix in uninstalling and reinstalling KB2769165, without any result. Any other ideas?

I was check this problem via an other Microsoft Communities (England, France, Italy). According to many experts, the problem is not significant. In addition, looks that sfc reports often false errors. My two PC (1 laptop Windows 8 Pro 64-bit and 1 8 32-bit with Media Center Windows desktop) reported the same "hash mismatch" but does not show any abnormality. No printer installed Canon! I hope that Microsoft will solve this mystery... sooner or later.

  • SFC/SCANNOW couldn't solve errors

I have several problems with Windows 8, for example I can't open PDF files.

So I ran scannow sfc. He ran, but not been able to resolve the errors.

I ran these successfully, but they have not solved all the problems:

    DISM / Online/Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
    DISM / Online/Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
    DISM / Online/Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

My journal CBS lies in my Public Skydrive folder.

    Help, please! Thank you.
