Pavillion h8-1202: hp h8-1202 uefi

I have a h8-1202 system with multiple disks, which is a 4 drive to Seagate.  When you try to boot from that disk boot selection option in the system configuration screen, that the drive does not appear as option UEFI well that I am sure, that it should be.   My BIOS is dated 2011 and there seems to be a newer version.  Help!

The h8-1202 is circa JAN 2012.  You can check the old BIOS or UEFI with this link.

  • Misdiagnosis Vista memory 1202 results

Wondering if someone could possibly have a solution for the problems I experienced.  I have the OS Vista Home Premium 32-bit system.  Since then, the PC has been freezing.  I ran a memory diagnostic check and it shows that I had hardware problems.  When I watched the event in the error number administration tools was 1202.  The speed of the RAM has been updated only a year ago for max 3 GB (it was 1 GB) and it worked fine until about two months ago.  I did a system restore thinking it would solve the problems, it does not.  I realized a cleaning disc.  I checked pc viruses and malware - nothing.  Thus, it happened today that I have conducted an audit of Mem Diag and it's a hardware problem.  If anyone could help us with that until I bring it to a technical expert, it would be more useful!

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

The computer has been freezing and you get error 1202.

The problem may occur if some of the operating system files are missing or there is problem with the RAM. To check, I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

    Method 1:

Remove a strip of RAM at a time and check if the problem persists.

Note: Do this only if you know how to do otherwise, ask someone who knows to do.

Method 2: File system (CFS) Scan Checker

SFC scan will find all missing or incorrect system files and repairs them.

    See the site:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

I hope this helps. If the problem persists, let know us and we would be happy to help you.

  • Action, 1202, 1204 and 1208 83.0.0.0

    Hello

I have an ID 4210 4.1. In the event viewer alarms fires 1202, 1204 and 1208 with 83.0.0.0 as source ip address and destination 0.0.0.57

I do not understand why my ID see this IP address?

    Can someone help me please?

    Thank you

1202 alarm is for the fragments where the datagram is too long

1204 alarm is for the fragments where the first fragment of the datagram is missing.

1208 alarm is for the fragments where the datagram is incomplete (one or more fragments are missing).

If you see the addresses 83.0.0.0 and 0.0.0.57 for these alarms, then all first determine if the sensor can actually be seeing these addresses on your network (can someone be re-reading of traces of package with these addresses).

You can use the "iplog 83.0.0.0 0" and "iplog 0.0.0.57 0 ' for having the iplog sensor all packets to and from these addresses around the time you see these alarms.

Then use the command "iplog-status" to see if all packages are currently registered for these ip logs.

Is there are packets being connected to these addresses, then there are packets with addresses on your network.

Another thing to try would be true for these signatures Packet capture. On normal signatures the packet that triggered the alarm will be attached to the alarm.

In the case of these special signatures, I'm not sure whether or not any package will be fixed, and if so what package will be attached.

If a package is attached, then you can analyze the package and determine what address found in the packet header.

If it turns out that these addresses are not on your network you can run in a bug of the sensor.

In the sensors of version 3.1, there was a bug for the following situation:

When the sensor generates alarm 1204, this means that the sensor did not see the first fragment to the datagram.

The first fragment is the sensor uses to fill the IP Source address, address of Destination IP and port of the alarm.

This information is available in other fragments as well, but the probe is still in the addresses of the first (fragment<-THIS is="" really="" what="" the="" bug="">

If, in the case of the alarm of 1204, the first fragment is not seen, then the sensor if it is sufficient to fill in the field with random data.

This has been fixed in a later version of 3.1, but it may have slipped to the version 4.0 or 4.1.

In this case 83.0.0.0 and 0.0.0.57 is maybe random data in these fields when the alert is triggered instead of the real SPIKE.

The signing of 1204 would be the problem, and given that the 1202 and 1208 are firing for the datagram even they will exhibit the same behavior.

If you have verified that these addresses are not not on your network and believe that you may be running a similar problem, please contact the TAC. They work with development to check what is the problem and if necessary create a bug to track the problem.

  • Pavillion 500-368na: ERROR of UEFI: verification failed (15) access denied

Since today when I start or restart my PC, I immediately get a blue screen that says:

    Verification failed: (15) access denied

I press return to enter 'OK' and get another blue screen called "Shim UEFI key management.

I gives me 3 options: continue start; Register the disk key; Enter the hash of the disc

If I select Register hash/key I have a long list - I tried selecting some of them, but the key is not found [message: only the encoded DER certificate (*.cer/der/crt) is supported].

If I select continue starting I boot directly into Windows 8.1 (64-bit) despite my system dual-boot with a Linux distribution (and work with Linux and Windows perfectly until today). Every time I have start or restart, I have to go through this same sequence and can only start Windows.

    Info additional possiblly important:

    (1) I was prompted to upgrade to Windows 10 but have not yet done yet - I "hide" the 8.1-> upgrade option 10.

    (2) yesterday (i.e. just before this problem appeared) the HP Support Assistant "HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI" updated version 5.8.2.0

At any expert UEFI tips to overcome this problem of access denied or tell me how to register the key that seems to be lost for some reason?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Looks like you have a GRUB that there is little support on this forum to deliver.  You could try the Linux forum.

    WHAT should happen?

Also battery check: primary - calibration required (21) - How to calibrate?

And I don't understand why they provide HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI - if their information so that it does not exist.

The hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced. If you are still in warranty HP will send a replacement. If this is not the case, a laptop SATA hard detail can be used. Just be sure to get one of at least equal quality of the original in order to use recovery media to install the drivers/software/Windows on the new hard drive. It may be big, but not small ability more. For example if you have a 500 GB hard drive you can use a 750 GB hard drive, but not a 320 GB hard drive.

  • How can I get the update for bios on my Pavillion m9500y UEFI

    System model NC683AA-ABA m9500y

I installed Win 7 and need W8 but W8 Advisor said that I need the Bios which supports UEFI followed by the v2.3.1 Errata B and has the authority of Certification Microsoft Windows in the UEFI signatures database.

So, how can I get the new BIOS?

    Dan

    Thanks for your reply.

You're right, MS Win 8 update Advisor said that I had to have this update to install W8.

However, secure boot will not work without it. So, since you say that HP does not BIOS update more than a year, it means that this PC does not have a secure boot. Built in obsolescence.  I hope just as malware ladies keep looking for rootkit stuff and do not rely on MS to keep safe.

  • SceCli 1202 after the Installation of Sophos 0x4b8 error

Our company uses Sophos Endpoint Security and Control (v10) for our anti-anti-virus/personal firewall of the company. About a month ago, we pushed the Sophos Endpoint client to our two domain controllers (that are running Active Directory) - This installs only the part of the client to a server antivirus. It is Windows 2003 Server R2, Service Pack 2 servers. Once installation is complete, you must restart the server for the console policy Sophos are taken into account. Just before the restart, we started to see the SceCli error appear in the application log in Event Viewer. And now every 5 minutes, another event is added. We have installed Sophos to other Windows 2003 servers and have not seen the same question on them. Has anyone else seen elsewhere? Any suggestions on what we can do to stop these events to the application log? Are there Sophos configuration changes that must be accomplished to AC/DC servers? I asked the question of Sophos support, but so far, they have not been able to give me all the answers. Thought I'd see if anyone else had experienced. We have not done any changes to group policy... and the fact that it only happens on two servers makes me think that this is not really a problem with group policy. Thank you in advance for your help!

  • Pavilion g6 1202-TX: driver problems after update to 8.1 Windows

    Hello

I've recently updated my product to 8.1 of Windows and even if I have material for a sound SRS surround, I can't find the software patches necessary to return my sound quality to its original levels of Dolby. I have already installed the IDT audio drivers available in support of the Web site forums always the his qualityy is very poor.

In addition, after installation of the Qualcomm Atheros Wireless card driver from the support forum, my light on the adapter does not turn Orange and stays blue all the time.

Kindly help me to solve these problems.

    Hi @Yuvraj_Gupta ,

Welcome to the HP support community. I saw your post about the problems after the upgrade to Windows 8.1. You encounter some problems because there is no driver Windows 8.1 to your model, only Windows 7 and 8. This Driver de Audio IDT high-definition is the most recent that I can find, but I can't guarantee that it will work.

For wireless light trying to install this Driver HP wireless button.  Once installed, you should be able to switch it off and on again.

  • SNPRH-1202: Interruption of HP Envy 5532 print job

I have a printer Envy 5532 all-in-one and for some reason whenever I have a multi page, the printer printing stops printing at halfway to 3/4 the way through work.  For example, if I printed a 10 page job there only printing 6 pages completely and stop the 7 page approximately 1/4 of the way through this page.  Then I have to go back and reprrint the start of employment where the last job stopped.  I just bought this printer about 2 months and a half there so he shouldn't do that.  Any ideas why my printer done and what can be done to remedy this?

    Hi @ehill ,

I see you are having problems printing multiple pages. I will definitely do my best to help you.

Disabling the option collate should allow it to print several documents correctly.

In your printing application, select file, print, number of copies, select 2.

    Uncheck the Collate box.

You can now change the number of copies.

    Collate should now stay disabled.

Try to reprint the document of several pages.

If you use Windows 8 and the printer is on a network, download and install the fix for Microsoft KB3000461.

Download the hotfix for Windows 8.1.

You may need to assign a static IP address, this information is provided in the link called workaround to step 3.

If you need assistance, please let me know the results and the following information.

What operating system do you use? How to find the Windows Edition and the Version on your computer.

How is the printer connected? (USB, Ethernet, WiFi)

  • Simple Question - thinking of buying the new video card - HPE Pavillion H8 1020-

I think to buy an AMD Radeon R7 x 260, is my PC (HPE Pavillion H8-1020) compatible with this card? I'll be able to simply switch to him?

    Hello

Some variants of the R7 AMD x 260 can run and others may not work. Contact Sapphire and investigate who have need for a model no UEFI that supports of four monitors (by you in other post).  You will also need a 500 Watt power supply.

  • UEFI auto turn on after power failure

I bought a desktop computer HP Pavillion PC500-225es (have a holiday home in Spain where the suffix are).

It is running Windows 8.1 equipped a UEFI BIOS.

I want the PC automatically restarts when power is restored after a power failure, but I don't see any option to do this in the UEFI BIOS. Is it normal for a UEFI BIOS? I have had many computers with a BIOS for old style and that I can remember all had the ability to set the auto restart after power fail.

I don't know how a UEFI BIOS integrates with Windows 8.1 but I see no option for this in point 8.1 of Windows either.

    Someone at - it ideas?

In addition, because the PC was bought in Spain, the BIOS is in Spanish. It seems not be anyway to change that in English, my native language. Not a big problem I can get in Spanish and may apply to the Google translate if I have to, but it would be easier if there was an option to switch to English.

I ran the HP Support Assistant, and everything is up-to-date, there is no update to download BIOS.

I guess I'm just stuck with the situation unless HP come with an update of the BIOS to add installation.

Please see the BIOS for the motherboard Jasmine settings the settings you are looking for. Although this document is intended for the 'Jasmine' motherboard and your computer uses the "JasmineR', the settings should be similar if not the same thing.

To access the BIOS Setup page... "Turn on the computer and immediately press the F10 key repeatedly, once per second, until the opening of the Computer Configuration utility."

The following options are found in the Power Options:

  • EFI and UEFI

Apple uses EFI and UEFI it days and how to find the version?

    Hey there Mark,.

Looks like you want to know how to check your EFI version, and Yes our computers that use EFI pursuant to this section:

On the updates of the EFI and SMC firmware for Mac computers with Intel processor

You should be able to check this version number using the information system:

How to check your firmware version

Follow these steps to check the ROM to boot your Mac EFI and SMC firmware versions.

    1. Open Information System.
    2. Select the hardware section to display the model identifier, version of boot ROM and s-m-c version numbers.

If the firmware version that see you in system information is newer than what is indicated for your Mac, you do not need to apply updates listed for this model. If you try to use a manual update that is not designed for your Mac, or is not necessary, Setup alerts you and the software is not installed.

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support, all the best!
