PC freeze using the new Flash drive and Youtube/Vimeo

Recently, I upgraded my drive flash to the latest version.  No problem with Youtube before, but now there is a major conflict.   Whenever I try to upload a video to youtube, my computer crashes.  I have about 10 seconds or so where I can move the mouse cursor, but no entry is available.  And then my monitor goes into mode "sleep" because she thinks that my PC is in "sleep".  Fans of PC are still underway, but no entry is accepted.  The only solution is to reboot, and then then next time it happen.

The problem is not Youtube because I have the same problem on Vimeo.  And it's not firefox, I have the same problem on IE.  And Firefox is fully updated.

I tried the usual uninstall and reinstall Flash and it did not help.

Any help would be most appreciated.

Two things you can try

  • update the device drivers for your video card
  • disable hardware acceleration (Flash Player settings)

After reading many messages from hard drive yesterday and the manual for my Dimension 4600, I bought a Western Digital 250 GB SATA internal drive which will become the secondary drive through Dell. My first is a 40 GB with 14 GB of free space. I am a student of site design Web and must use Adobe Creative Suite CS3, including PhotoShop, Dreamweaver, etc., which is a huge program. Technology Department told me that I could load the program Adobe Creative Suite CS3 on the new secondary drive and my images and other Documents which I will use to create Web sites for school. I could load MicroSoft Office 2007 as well if it is a good idea.

What is a reasonable secondary use of a hard drive?  Is this a good practice? Benefits; Disadvantages?

If the primary drive fails in the future, it is possible to just load Windows XP, etc on the new secondary disk at this time and the report on? • Hard drive crashed with CS5 on it. Has not been disabled before the collision. Desktopcomputer again loaded on the new hard drive and bu news updates do not work on the new computer.

Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum! I have a laptop Aspire with Photoshop CS5 extended. The computer's hard drive crashed and so I had to get another hard drive! Obviously as the hard drive crashed, I was unable to disable CS5 extended before the crash. I have it charging on the new hard drive and in the meantime bought a desktop computer in which I loaded CS5. Updates have been working fine on the laptop. I tried to update the program on the new computer, but continue to receive error messages. I have read in any problems and think maybe computer laptop harddrive that crashed had CS5 yet on it, as I was unable to turn it off because I didn't know he was going to crash. I am only able to load CS5 on 2 computers and if it is still on the destroyed hard drive so I'm not able to turn it off and so I presume that is why I can not download the updates on my new computer. I hope someone can help me. I want to keep CS5 on both computers. Thanks in advance bunch Kara

Basically the hard drive was about to fail and I so now the new one installed and I used my recovery disks and all seemed well until the recovery disks have been completed and the computer says to get out them. Then the computer restarted several times and then I get this message:

    Hello panjok2,

Sometimes recovery CD are dependent on the architecture of a hard drive.  If it is different from the original disc, then we have problems.

In this case, the best thing you could do is contact HP and see if this is the case.  If it is not why this happens, they should be able to help you as well because they are the ultimate authority on their recovery process.

Let us know if you have any questions.

  • HP G71: Install the new hard drive and the raw copy

    Hello

My HP G71 is 64-bit, 4 GB RAM and hard drive WD320BEVT. The laptop has more than 5 years of service and I want to replace with a new hard drive while performing a raw copy of the current. I have a dual boot Win 7/Ubuntu installation I want to keep on the new hard drive.

As I have not found a new HD of the same type and capacity, I would like to replace the current one with an another Western Digital 2.5 ", the IDE interface, but with a capacity of 0.5 to 1 TB (I choose one or the other).

    My questions:

-can I install one of these hard drives on this laptop? They are compatible with the current BIOS/chipset?

-If I make a raw copy of the 320 GB drive to the 0.5 or 1 TB, how would the current operating system partitions will be reflected in a higher capacity drive?

-J' bought an IDE/USB interface adapter as well as to make possible the raw copy, could you recommend, if these questions have the THUMB, a good free to use software that I could use?

    Thanks for your help!

Yes I use Kubuntu and tried several times to just the entire disk image and it does not reproduce partitions Linux and Grub, but when you try to start Linux it will hang and say can not find the prior specific hard drive. So now I just make a backup of Windows and reinstall Kubuntu from scratch. Much easier. I think there are also Linux backup programs you can use, but never really saw the need.

  • HP EliteBook 8440p: Best boot option after installing the new hard drive and put to memory.

I just installed the new hard drive for my laptop and will get the cards of two memory installed tomorrow. I would like advice on what would be the best option to start when the laptop for the first time I'm on fire.

I have the original Windows HP recovery disk came with the computer.

I also have a recovery disc and a system image on disks created with Macrium Reflect two days ago.

I also have a recovery disc and a system image is created on an external hard drive Seagate two days ago. (I've read mixed reviews on these is currently working as a media of rescue with Win7 Pro).

I guess if I use the HP recovery disc I would be then just use any system image I prefer, without the recovery disk. Anyone know if it makes a difference at all which method to use?

    bozzle73

My recommendation would be to restore using the image of MR (Macrium Reflect) you did.

But then, I used Mr. on all my PCs for years and am a big fan - having had it Miss ever in the years and years of use.

You will need boot from the boot of MR media (you did that right) and, if you photographed all the required partitions for the operating system, restore it on the new drive should take a few minutes, and when this is done, you reboot and everything should be OK.

    Good luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

If your computer comes with a qualifying previous license such as Windows Vista or Windows XP and the certificate of authenticity is still attached to the machine in good condition, then the COST is reason enough to represent the compliance to the software license agreement. No previous required software installation, which means you can do a clean install with Windows 7 Upgrade disk.

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

Select the disc/s click on Delete

  • L855-135 satellite display brightness does not work using the new ATI driver

    Hello

I just bought the L855-135 with a Radeon HD 7670 M and wanted to update the graphic with map
the last driver AMD. After that, I realized that the brightness setting didn t work anmore. So I uninstalled
the new driver and installed again the old driver from this site. Now, the brightness setting works fine again but I Don t really want to get stuck on this older version of the driver. Its around the age of 8 months. Before I bought my laptop I've never heard their update policity. Can someone tell me when they intend to update their-own-amd-drivers toshiba? I really want some new drivers but I Don t want to lose the ability to adjust the brightness. For me, it's a reason to give the laptop back, but I like really this laptop with the exception of its own pilots.

Can someone tell me how long it will take to get a few new drivers? And I mean not more recent that the 'old' but still 6 months of NEW drivers.

    Thank you.

I found another thread on the same topic.
It seems that the command buttons FN brightness don t work using the NON-Toshiba graphics card driver.

You know this Toshiba page graphics card driver is a driver updated, created and configured especially for models of Toshiba laptops.
This driver supports protection against overheating. Other drivers don t

However, it seems that there is no other solution than to use the Toshiba configured and modified drivers.

  • Reinstall Windows 7 using a USB Flash drive and an ISO image

My laptop is not an optical disc drive in order to reinstall Windows, I had to rely on the USB that I have. I downloaded an ISO image of the operating system on the Microsoft site and created a bootable USB stick using the xcopy command in command prompt. When I restarted the system and chose the USB as a boot device, nothing happened for half an hour. Then I had to reboot the PC somehow and it booted normally. Since he did not work once again, I downloaded the Windows 7 USB DVD download tool. But even the tool cannot complete the writing process, even after several attempts. So as a last attempt, I opened the folder where I had extracted all the files and ran StartCD.exe but it terminated immediately by posting "too big for memory. (BTW, I use a 8 GB flash drive) What should I do to fix this?

    Use Rufus:

The USB key must be formatted in FAT32 and use the GPT partitioning scheme. To do this, you must use Rufus, a small tool that you can download for free.

    After installing Rufus:

    • Launch it
    • Select the ISO Image
    • Point to the file ISO for Windows 10
    • Check create a disk bootable using
    • Select GPT partitioning to EUFI firmware as the Partition scheme
    • Choose FAT32 NOT NTFS as file system
    • Make sure that your USB in the device list
    • Click Start
    • Close when you are finished
  • Install old HDD to the pc with the new HARD drive and operating system different?

Hi, I recently ripped my old laptop that no longer works, after buying a newer laptop 4 years ago. The new laptop has Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit installed while the old machine had Windows Vista installed. I want to put the old HDD in my new machine to extract some files that I want to keep and possibly use this particular drive as a disc of extra storage without having to turn it into a portable device. Would that work or would I meet problems with him? It would be just a plug & play this sort of thing (as the old HDD already has an operating system installed) or the old drive (vista) would cause the new drive (win7) fails at startup?

And sorry if this has already been covered. I searched through the questions asked previously and has not really found a similar job.

You can use your old drive, but you should check that the "Boot order" is the most recent Player listed before the old drive. If need be exit and save your BIOS boot becomes.

    Next

After you have started since the new drive, you may need to take ownership of the files you need to copy.

To take ownership of a file or folder

    1. open Windows Explorer and locate the file or folder you want to take charge.
    2. right click on the file or folder, click Properties, and then click the Security tab.
    3. click on advanced and then click the owner tab.
    4. click on edit and then do one of the following:
To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click other users and groups and enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group and then click OK.

To change the owner to a user or a group is listed in the change owner to box, click the new owner.

    5. (optional) to change the owner of all subcontainers / folders and objects in the tree view, select the Replace owner of subcontainers and objects check box.

Then use 'Disk management' to delete all existing partitions and reformat the old drive.

  • Resync after the new hard drive and battery failure - SOLVED

I have Vista32 and Hotsync Manager 7.0.2 all works very well with my Treo 680.

My son tungsten battery went to zero and I put it on the cradle without data now.

Recently, I replaced my hard drive and have his registered user directory.

When I sync, it does not recognize the user directory that I copied to My Documents/Palm OS Desktop / (username)

When I create a new account it just creates the account and I have to manually reload everything.

How can I easily copy all the old stuff from the tungsten to the computer?

It was the same exact version of HotSync.

    I don't use Palm Desktop.

I does not solve the problem but after 2 hours.

    (1) I have synced the tungsten, create a new user with empty data.

    (2) I then faked a dead battery by doing a hard reset on tungsten.

    (3) I then replaced my new data folder empty (under My Documents/Palm OS Desktop /(hotsync name) with my old data from my hard drive to backup folder.

    (4) I then did a hotsync, which now had the name of Hotsync to choose and feeling that it was a Virgin tungsten, all the old data has been reinstalled.

  • How to install the new hard drive and windows key?

    Hello

    I have a aspire v5-121-c72g32nkk.
I have just updated to Windows 10, don't panic, but I want to upgrade my HD drive to a SSD drive.

You can find the steps to do this?
Windows was preinstalled, how I reinstall on another drive?
I have no serial key or whatever it is.
I'm a bit lost, you have an idea?

    Best,

There are several ways to do this, anyone have product keys, since

If you want to do a clean install:

Windows 7-8 - 8.1 keys are embeeded on your BIOS

Windows 10 use a generic key during the upgrade, so just skip the steps questions about a product key and the first time you connect on the web, it will authenticate to.

    You must decide:

    (1) do a clean install of your operating system to factory

    (2) make a disk - image of the system image and reload

    (3) to do a clean install of windows 10

option 2 is the fastest at the end, as you create a copy of your HARD drive and reload it to your PC.

you need a bootable windows 10 (USB or DVD) media and little space on external HARD drive.

  • Ive installed the new flash player and it will not work.

I recently had my pc infected by many viriuses. my pc has been cleaned by some of the following malwarebytes, avira and macafee. I think that iam in 32-bit windows Explorer. When I looked there is nothing after the ' # ' but it doesn't say "in the level of 128-bit encryption. What can I do?

Hi again, ok. Now since you have McAfee as a paid version, I would like to uninstall Avira or turn it off at least. The rule is to have an anti-virus program, since most of which will cause conflictions. MBAM is ok, as long as it's right on your desktop and you run it when you want.

What we will do is to uninstall the current version of Flash Player, install vs 9, then uninstall vs 9, then install the most recent Flash Player vs which is 10.1.102.64.

To do this, use the administrator account.

Go to this site and download and SAVE the program uninstaller on your desktop:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/141/tn_14157.html

Go to this site and download and SAVE the installer to your desktop:

    http://kb2.Adobe.com/CPS/406/kb406791.html

You page down for Solutions and under Windows in Flash Player 9 and use the Internet Explorer 1.46 MB

Go to this site and download and SAVE the installer to your desktop:

    http://www.Adobe.com/products/flashplayer/fp_distribution3.html

You will use the Windows, Internet Explorer download EXE to install

Once you have on your desk, using the administrator account, you CLOSE all browser windows.

    Disable McAfee & Avira

Look in your tray (area near the clock) system for instant messengers, yahoo, aol, etc and turn them off.

Your computer, run the program uninstall and when it's finished, Reboot (restart).

Check and make sure that McAfee & Avira are always disabled.

Run the Setup from vs 9 and when you're done, restart your computer

Test your browser here and you should be able to see the Flash animation (spin) logo and the Flash Player version must be listed.

    http://www.Adobe.com/software/Flash/about/  Must vs 9

Now, you run the program to uninstall again to uninstall vs 9, when finished, restart your computer

Check and make sure that McAfee & Avira are always disabled.

Run Setup vs 10.1.102.64 and when finished, restart your computer.

Then test your browser and you should have now installed 10.1.102.64 vs.

You may want to print these directions to make it easier to follow.

If you have any questions, let me know.

A ran the device driver and got errors on the network card and the RAID.

I went on the site of Dell for the 9100 and installed the drivers for the adapter and the RAID.

No luck. I always get the error "no card" as well as the error 'no cable not connected.

I read a lot of posts about this problem and am stuck.
