PC shows a black screen at startup. No movement of the screen.

Product name: HP 15 Notebook PC

PC nothing shows after showing the symbol of the HP (with loading occur under the symbol of HP).

Then I close the lid of my laptop and so it will start open it again.

I don't know the problem?  I can't recognize the problem of software in my PC.

When it comes to something doesn't work is not initially and then it works again after you do something that makes no sense for you, the only thing you can do is process of elimination. Boot in safe mode and see if that works, try using the different function keys to see if you can get different thing to shoot to the top of the LOGO. If you can, you are already one step closer.

Another thing I would like to check if you can get into the BIOS is check what Config SATA ready too. According to that one that you put in too much can affect that makes your computer during startup.

If you can get into safe mode, go to your RUN and type MSCONFIG. Disable any that you have set to start with your operating system outside the basic thing you need. Once you take a look or have yourself already sometime, you will understand what I'm saying. Play with different ways to do this work, also try disabling the drivers to see if this may be the issue as well. Thing like that take a while to understand.

Unfortunately, there is always this possibility which could go wrong some hardware. Most of the problems that I came across this question was a bad mother. Without disassembling the computer, try to remove the RAM and exchange slots, see if that makes a difference.

In this case, there are so many different things you can try. It will take time to address them, and do a hard reset isn't always the way to go. It is the easiest, but I'll tell you that, if that solves no and it'S a hardware problem, then you are in a deeper hole than what started you with.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask, and I'll be more than happy to help.

One last thing, see if you can find some kind of error code. This will help you find the question than many others.

  • New Hp pavilion touchsmart shows a black screen after login

I just bought a new Hp pavilion computer printer portable all-in-one laptop / tablet that runs windows 8. It worked perfectly well until now.

The laptop starts fine, the hp displayed logo and the login screen is displayed. After that I entered the password, it begins to load but then becomes just a black screen. My cursor is visible, but nothing else happens.

I restarted the laptop several times. Help, please. Thank you.

    Hi all

Please use F11, press it all right after the startup of the device. Press several times to ensure that you access the Recovery Manager.

Then, when you're there, select the language in the first screen and then "troubleshooting." Then select advanced options. In this menu, select System Restore, to restore your system to a date before the show began.

In case you have no restore points, in the section "Troubleshooting" menu, select "System Refresh", it reinstalls the system without erasing your data.

In which case you can start in safe mode, try to search for a program called "SearchProtect" and if you find it, try to uninstall it.

Let me know the results of the above suggestions.

  • Monitor shows a black screen and "no sigal.

My compaq pressario turned slowly, so used fxdisk?, but who is stuck on 74% for more than 1 hour manually off computer. but when that I start now I get a black screen and the message "no signal."

I tried clicking on F8 nothing helps. any help to get my computer working again will be greatly appreciated.

the main problem is the signal of monitor at the moment.   without a method to view the data on the screen there is little we can do.

so the first initiative is: namely a signal.

first of all, double check your wires between the monitor and the computer and make sure they are securely attached and that they are not frayed or folded.   If you have a video card on the motherboard, then disconnect the monitor to it and connect it directly to the motherboard.

Secondly, after pressing the power button computers on the State on, try to access the bios of the computer.   wait about 3 seconds after you press the button and hold down the DELETE key, or press f10 to open the bios screen.

If bios opens then it looks like you have a video signal from the motherboard.  You can then exit without saving the changes.

But if you can not access the bios, then it's a problem.   Perhaps, there is a problem with the motherboard.

so check your computer manual or online manual your computer to verify that you have taken the right steps in trying to open up the bios screen.

second initiative: If the video signal is finally resolved, the next step will be to start with a xp installation cd.    This will bypass the faulty files on the hard drive system and allow you to run some commands in order to fix it.

  • my screen shows a black screen and says to enter the system password, how do I reinstall windows if the pc is back to factory settings and wonder a system password

Don't let me do anything, as soon as I turn on my pc, it goes to the black screen telling me to enter the system password

It looks like your BIOS password "may" be set.

What brand of computer do you have?

If you have an antistatic grounding cable and are comfortable opening your case, you "can" be able to follow a procedure in the manual of your motherboard to reset such password.   If you choose to do so, please be careful because you do so at your own risk.

  • Computer blocks showed a BLACK screen

The next problem is on my brother in laws machine, Vista running. Start the computer OK but after using the mouse a few times the computer hangs and also displays a black screen, resulting in a reboot. I tried a system restore, and later a defrag, but freezes before any diagnosis unit can be completed.   I use my computer to ask this question because my brother in laws unit does not work.  I hope you can help please.  Thank you, Nicholas Cooper

    Hi, Bach3g,

    Computer brand and model?

    Start the computer

    Open Device Manager

Check the graphics card driver and the mouse driver that should perhaps be updated

Right click on the driver, and then select properties - you see codes listed on the general tab

You see exclamation yellow exclamation or question marks?

If so, right click on drivers and select update

If the system continues to freeze, go back and uninstall the drivers in question.

Reboot and Windows will reload drivers.

Go to the site of the manufacturer of the computer and look for the driver updates.

  • Connection to a VDI with PCoIP desktop shows a black screen and little disconnects

I have an image of the mother and the pools built from this image. They work well. I created a new pool from this image with VDIs 10 gold. When I assigned people to this pool, they complained on black screen and when I looked at the papers I found some possible solutions to this problem.

    We are on view 5.3

    Operating system: WIN 7 32-bit.

So far, I have these patches:

    (1) replace connect via GPO DNS

    (2) increases vram and no monitors

Nothing has worked so far. Any help with this well really much appreciated. I have attached the log file. Ask if you need more info or newspapers on this subject.

    Kind regards

    Anoop.

I found the problem. I tried to upgrade the agent from the view and then reinstalled 5.3. But the pilot svga not to downgrade to 8,15 and so the error. I uninstalled the tools and agent and reinstalled the VMware tools and the former agent of view in good order and he got the old svga driver (7.14) and now its work. Thank you to all who responded.

  • VM shows a black screen mode full screen only

I have a VM Windows Server 2012 R2 with two related clones. The clones related both work very well, but the first VM is having trouble automatically setting the resolution. I had the problem in VMware Workstation on my PC where the resolution would not change at all when I adjusted the size of the window, and now in VMware Fusion 7 when I try to switch full screen with it I just get a black screen with a mouse cursor until I switch from full screen.

How can I fix it if I can use the virtual machine mode full screen?

EDIT: All three of them have black screens in mode full screen now after restart my mac.

I fixed it by going to settings > view and uncheck "use full resolution for the Retina display.

  • Firefox sometimes shows a black screen to minimize/maximize.

Firefox has turned my black pages. It's not exactly an accident; Just to fix is to minimize and re - optimize the browser. However, it is incredibly annoying to have to constantly while working. Image screenshot is added under.

It has been produced since I have upgraded to Windows 10. It seems not to happen on certain sites: namely facebook and SAS on demand (yay for the screen goes black in the middle of coding!). Disabling hardware acceleration has not set, and I can reproduce it reliable by typing the code in SAS on request (or the passage of the mouse around) or by accessing Facebook.
    Any ideas?
    Thank you!

Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

    • Click the menu button

      click Help

then select restart with disabled modules.

If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:

    • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
    • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
    • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.
