PC shuts off after awhile in unexpected ways

Hi all

I wanted to analyze a Dell laptop inspiron N5010 in safe mode. When I took the environment of safe mode and ran the AV to scan, after a while, the PC is out!
The power options menu options (the plug in) are the following:

Screensaver after 4 minutes.
To display Dim after 10 minutes.
Turn off the display after 15 minutes.
Hard drive, sleep and Hibernate mode are all off (set to never).

I tested the machine without analysis, that is to say, went to safe mode and waited to see what happens after the time that elapses.
By comments so far (because I can apply more tests to determine where the problem is exactly), the problem is when the machine is in safe mode and do something (in the current case, scanning).
What do you think? Why in this case it comes out please?

Thanks in advance.

Hello

It may be an overheating problem and it is normally the main reason for your problem.

.

If it's a hardware problem, it would not not to restart.

That said, it is possible to have a hairline cracks in the motherboard, etc, which becomes obvious as soon as it warms up

Check vents for hair, dust, etc. and do not use a laptop when it is based on material surfaces: bedspreads, blankets, etc.

If the problem persists, because it's a laptop and if you are not happy to work inside, bring in a local and reliable computer repair shop and get them to open and clean the dust inside...

Here is an interesting discussion about the reasons for your problem:

http://PC-trickandsolution.blogspot.com.au/2011/07/fix-laptop-overheating-shutdown-problem.html

NB: > however 9 out of 10 cases of overheating are caused by obstruction of the air flow.

See you soon

    Hi rasgypgid3,

    1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

2 when was the last time it was working fine?

    3. you receive an error then that restarting or shutting down the computer?

    4. the problem only happens if the computer is on all night?

    Method 1

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure by following the steps below.

    (a) right click on my computer and then click Properties.

    (b) click the Advanced tab.

    (c) under Startup and recovery, click settings to open the startup and recovery dialog box.

    (d) clear the checkbox start automatically, and then click OK, the number of times required.

    (e) restart your computer so that the settings take effect.

    Method 2

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    Hi PAULARUNNELS,

    ·         What happens when you try to start in the Advanced startup options?

    ·         You receive the same error?

    ·         You external devices connected now?

    Try the following.

Method 1: Disconnect external devices not essential, connected to the computer and restart the computer.

Method 2: Load default BIOS (Basic Input\Output System) settings, and then restart the computer. Make sure that you have the CD drive set as first boot device. Check the settings by consulting the manual or call the manufacturer to do so.

Note: Be careful when you change the BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, and it is possible to change a setting that can prevent your computer from starting properly.

Method 3: If you are unable to start on one of the advanced startup options, and then you can follow this article.

  • Fuze will shut off randomly

Fuze will shut off randomly, then it takes a few seconds to turn on. After that I see the symbol of welcome, it says media refreshing and it takes about 5 minutes to complete. It is very annoying! Please a little help.

Normally, the "rocket" is enough to update the database on data transfers.  If the SD/SDHC card is not inserted, the database will not refreshing at startup.

I have an eye on the music files for problems with ID3 tags and album art files especially.

First of all, connect the "rocket" in MSC mode and check the memory of Sansa to find errors in the file system: right-click on my computer, and then select manage.  Click on the "rocket" and check the drive for errors.  Do this for the two logical drive letters assigned to the "rocket".

Don't forget that your ID3 tags are written with tags ID3 v2.3 ISO 8859-1 (Latin-1) .  Great use for this is MP3Tag, a free utility.  In addition, be sure that your JPGs for your music (cover) are 300 x 300 or smaller.  The images are not necessarily greater then 15 to 20 KB or more, otherwise, you can run into questions.

The "rocket" can freeze and possible can turn off if you try to play a corrupted music file.

A simple way to know is by following the steps above, or format the "rocket" and reload your music a few tracks at a time, to see that all is well.  Remember, the "rocket" Formatting erases all the data (media) of the device, so have copies ready to reload on your Sansa backup.

  • The computer screen does not turn off after the specified power Options

I tried several ways on trying to turn off my monitor of my laptop through the options of food and the use of some applications such as nircmd but nothing works every time. I'm sure it can be a program I am not using a device. I have a wireless mouse plugged into a USB port, but I know that's not what is keeping the PC awake, as always happens when it is not plugged. The thing that bothers me is I don't know how to identify this process shut off and I tried to put end as many process I can safely or those that I am knowledgeable in the subject to close. I would really like this feature back. Thanks in advance for the answers and ask if all the details are needed.

I understood what was the 'problem '. It turns the screen of my laptop never turns off if my laptop is installed on a sloping surface, because it assumes that I'm working on it. When I went to bed my laptop on a flat level surface, is power does work normally, as reduces the brightness of the screen to the bottom, then turns off after a while. I guess it must be a form any a single function on my laptop. Thanks for all your answers.

Hi, we you streaming pandora on ATV? Or were you AirPlaying it to another device? If it's the last audio AirPlay is regarded as a process in the background, as readers of music on iOS. • Apple TV gives up on WiFi association after awhile

    Hello

    I have the following scenario:

    -Apple TV model A1469, Version 7.2.1 (8011)

-' Not always on' Wireless Network (ex, WiFi is turned off during certain periods)

When I start the WiFi network and then Apple TV, it works very well, he associated with the network, no problem.

Then I unplug the network WiFi, but Apple TV on. Apple TV unplug obviously WiFi.

But after some time (it varies between 30 minutes to 6 hours, usually) when I turn the WiFi on once again, Apple TV connects to the WiFi network again. It is as if he has forgotten the network entirely and stays like that forever.

I can recover by power off / turn on the Apple TV or by going to network settings and join the network again. A curious fact: Apple TV don't ask the password this time, then it means that the password is known.

I have excluded from interference WiFi, electronic material nearby, the noise of the power supply, etc. So I need to figure out what to do next, because the Apple TV must be in conference of all time mode and the WiFi network must be down when not in use.

It is a system completely unnatended, conference room users are not allowed to mess with power Apple TV and use the remote control either.

Apple TV should always try to reconnect... why he gave up after a while?

    Thank you.

You say that 'disconnect you the WiFi', but I think you mean that you stop at the router. ATV continuous attempts to connect, but gives up after a while. Having given up, it will not try again unless you interact with him, somehow. I suspect that it was designed for it. It is not surprising that he remembers the network key, because I think it behaves like an iPad or iPhone, saving the SSID and key networks, we saw previously.

You can try to complain to Apple to http://www.apple.com/feedback/appletv.html , but I suspect that this requirement did not appear in the design. After all, ATV was really designed for home use, as attested by the apps 'watch television '. Schools and businesses find them useful, but is not the focus of the primary product.

Why is it necessary to turn off the WiFi?

You can use a wired connection for ATV? Assuming that your router supports wireless clients could still AirPlay on ATV.

I was going to suggest that you turn the room Conference on ATV mode, but it looks like you have to do so already.

It is a bit brutal, but could put you it off ATV (pull on the plug) before turning off WiFi? In this way, ATV never know that WiFi disappears.

In addition, there are other reports of ATV apparently giving up network connections while you sleep, even when WiFi is available. These users will have to do the same thing you get ATV to pay attention to the network again. The funny thing is that this does not affect everyone. There may be an independent ATV adjustment that triggers this behavior. So you might expect a software fix or one of these other threads fly finally a solution. Just search here WiFi and sleep.

  • Satellite A60-712 - turn off after 2-3 seconds

    Hello everyone.

I am trying to fix this Satellite A60-712; He came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible and it seems to work: CC in LED lights up and the battery starts to charge.

My problem is that this starts Mobile for awhile, radiator begins to turn, all the lights are normally, but, all of a sudden everything turns off after 2-3 seconds. I have observed that this machine has only one slot of free RAM and noted that it has integrated the module memory motherboard; that would be the problem? Or another reason?

    Could someone help me?
    Thank you.

    Hello

    > it came to me without feeder, but I found a compatible
Can you please test it with a Toshiba original AC/DC adapter? The same thing is happening?

If the laptop has already integrated memory motherboard there is no problem. Alternatively, you can use the laptop without additional RAM module.

In the worst cases, you need professional help of an authorized service provider. :(

  • Help! Lenovo B570 random Shut off and Start Up problems

My Lenovo laptop B570 has had problems lately. It is only a month, but has frequent problems.

My first question is that it stops randomly no matter what I do. I will be checking my email or anything else online then the screen is black and the power light is off. Happened almost every day, and I'm going to College soon so I don't want to cut when I anymore.

My second problem is that sometimes when I start the laptop, either normally or after the random shut off, it will not connect properly. Sometimes I use the fingerprint reader or type in the password. It will say 'Welcome', then it will say "Please wait", but it will not disappear no matter how long I wait, and I left for 20 minutes like that before.

My third and final question is whether the laptop freezes sometimes or all programs cease to operate and remain unusable. When I am able to boot successfully and connect, I open any program, and it will open, then immediately, it will say "not responding". When this happens, and I click anywhere else, everything becomes unusable, even the start menu.

My solution to all these problems was to hold down the power button until the laptop turns off, start it in Mode without failure, then restart. I installed McAfee antivirus and Malwarebyte anti-malware software and scanned the whole laptop, but there has been no detection with either. If anyone has had similar problems, or has a solution to my problem, I want to say thank you in advance.

Can I delete something so that my computer turned on? After f8 button the window xp from microsoft to address blue lights with a list of things to do in which nothing has allowed so far.

    Hi bonnieb1941,

    1. When did you start to question?

    2. you remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

    3. How have you tried to run the virus and bug checks?

    4. is this the machine is disconnected and re-login in back or just reboot?

    Step 1:

If the machine is in continuous loop, then try to disable the auto restart in case of system error and let us know the error code.

    a. restart your computer and start pressing F8 on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured to start to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

    b. Select disables automatic system failure reboot when the Windows Advanced Options menu is displayed and press ENTER.

Check the link for more information:

A description of the options to start in Windows XP Mode

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/315222

    Step 2:

Also, try unplugging the external devices connected to the system and check if the system boots normally.

    Hope this information is useful.
