  • Share files from Pages on the intranet in collaboration with?

I know we can download our corporate records on iCloud and then everyone in the office can collaborate on them, but for reasons of backup and protection of personal information, we would prefer a lot to keep them in our box of Mac OS X Server. Is there anyway to work collaboratively on them, i.e. the iCloud OS X Server services?

    Experiment.

Create a shared folder on your server and save your files and see what happens.

    Give the appropriate permissions.

I read Apple and MacWorld summary of what is happening, is not precise enough to be useful IMHO.

Also, I wouldn't trust all software Apple including 5 Pages or iCloud or nothing to do with iCloud, especially passwords you can claim. A recipe for disaster, from 5 Pages General incompatibility and ever-changing file formats as well as the imparsability of the. file format of pages when things go wrong, as they inevitably do.

Have you looked at more reliable alternatives such as Google Docs or LibreOffice [free]?

  • Cisco first Collaboration - what is free

    Hi guys,.

What is the free version of privileged collaboration of Cisco? I have to deploy for a client and I saw the first Collab provisioning version available for download on Cisco, is it free?

Can provide you any document that says the same thing. Also the special collaboration of Cisco can be deployed in HA mode using two virtual machines?

The free versions are called Standard versions, rather than the paid versions, called advanced versions.  The law requires CUCM 10.x and later, using CUWL license and is covered in the commercial documentation of CUCM.

There is not much difference between PCP standard and advanced design.  The main reasons to choose Advanced if you have a several cluster environment. Standard does support a call (CUCM editor) or GCE and a single message processor (CUC or CUE).  The most frequent reason is that in advanced you can delegate the management of orders for different groups of users (areas of the CFP) to different administrators.  Standard mode does not allow this. There are some additional differences as the API to the North is on in advanced as well as a workflow of order process sometimes required by large companies. Those are the main differences.

HA is another story.  There is a general process of HA supported by the BU of PCP and PCA using VMWare HA.  HA in general was not popular with the CFP because most of the people do not believe it is necessary and choose instead a different path for the resilience. Most of the deployment in a way people distributed (app + database of VMs) and make the system of database as fault tolerant as possible/necessary using characteristic database process in the industry. The application server uses VMWare HA or FT to come up if the configuration hardware server dies for some reason any. Or is it just launched somewhere else.

CFP has the ability to re-synchronization of network UC, UC network will continue to operate without running of PCP and the native interfaces of UC apps can still be used (PCP can catch up with the changes later), the need to spend more money and time to configure HA is difficult to justify in most cases.

  • Premium insurance of Collaboration, and provisioning of VM requirements

We are currently evaluating the assurance of a privileged collaboration and provisioning for our environment. I'm finalizing the requirements of the VM, but I see conflicting information on the docwiki. Our farm is running VMware 6.0 and I would keep consistent in all areas. A person built insurance 10.5 and commissioning on a VMware 6.0 and had it working well? I see the information on Docwiki below.

    Insurance (Version 10.5):

    support for versions of vmware esxi 4.0, 4.1, 5.0, 5.1, 5.5 =

    Source: http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/Virtualization_for_Cisco_Prime_Collaborati...

    Commissioning (Version 10.5):

decision-making in load of the versions of vmware esxi = 4.x, 5.x, 6.x

On the other end Cisco first as mentioned guide below shows that small and medium-sized deployments have ESXi 4.1, 5.0 and 5.1

System requirements - Server and system requirements for the Client

Privileged collaboration runs on any certified hardware VMware ESXi 4.1, 5.0, and 5.1 installed. Deployment of large and very large models requires ESXi 5.0 or later.

    Source: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/collaboration/10-5/q...

Also the docwiki clearly mentions that the version premium insurance starting with 11.1 is supported on esxi 6.0. If this is the case we run handler calls 10.5.2 within our environment, and in the case, we choose to build 11.5 for CPA and CFP would there be concerns or difficulties to integrate with CUCM 10.5. I think not but want to confirm. I would also like to hear thoughts on the CFP, APC version 10.5 supported ESXi 6.0?

    Thanks in advance!

I questioned the engineering, marketing and the TME teams on the requirements of EXSi and they confirmed that the PCA EXSi versions listed are correct for 10.5.  Isn't that APC 11.0 out they began to test and support 6.x EXSi revisions.

I have a different point of view on this issue. Why bother running 10.5 when 11.5 last rev for the CFP and the APC? 11.5 supports the towers to CUCM 9.0. We had a lot of problems with versions 10.x (updated the architectures, last minute, adds, etc.) and cleaned up emissions upward with the 11.1 and ensuites.  It is also not a good idea to get too far behind in number of revolutions from the point of view of the update.  Unless you use a cluster of CUCM 8.x (which I think should be the end of support now), you must move to 11.1 PC or later version.

    Hello

How to cancel an order for a "fatal error" in first Cisco collaboration. I'm looking for an equivalent to:

    Thank you!

    Hi George,.

Go to my activities (or things) and find that particular order in the list.  Click on it and it will either allow you to cancel the order or assign it to yourself and then cancel the order.

  • Issue of integrating Cisco first Collaboration insurance LDAP

    Hello

I 9.0.0 - 24376 Cisco first coverage of Collaboration with lot of fixes 3, and although I added the LDAP protocol successfully to the server of the CPCA, and when I do the connection test it gives me connection is successful with the LDAP server, then I added users to the management of the users using the same user name as the user account on the LDAP protocol and LDAP user check.

but when the user tries to connect to the CPCA using his LDAP account an error message saying that the user name or password is incorrect.

    If the ideas please?

Insurance server connects with CN, not sAMAccountName in the LDAP server, make sure that you type in the user name as "John Doe" instead of jdoe.  Check if it works.

No, you will need to remove these servers and run the migration all again.

  • CUVC in first Collaboration Manager

I am trying to record a CUVC 3515 MCU 12 (version 5.7.0.0.21 of the software) on a Cisco Collaboration first, Manager 1.1.0.10719 but I am faced with an http error.

    Hi Laurent,.

As of today, CUVC does not appear on the list of the devices supported by Cisco first Collaboration Manager.

You can find a detailed list of what devices are supported on your specific version of the first Manager of collaboration on the following link.

  • CUCM with highways of Collaboration and mobility, a traditional VCS environment

    Hi all

I'm positive, that I've read this in many posts before mine, or in related presentations, or the deployment of the guides, but I find it difficult to find this info now.

I'm looking for is a simple real explanation of how VCS-C/E or Expressway-C/E pairs (or single instances) would be required for a deployment of CUCM that wanted to allow external Collaboration (if communication B2B, both the SIP and H.323), more access mobility (i.e. remote workers using Jabber or other devices for VPN less access), as well as integration with the existing H.323 estate and maybe even the comments Jabber thrown into the mix?

As far as I understand, MRA and external Collaboration must be on separate pairs of the highway, but I can't remember if the license VCS without Expressway (although I think that it's free) can be used to provide collaboration B2B access, or if something is necessary precisely for H.323.

    See you soon

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

you will find in the annex a PDF where on page 6-7, 16-20 is a short explanation of the difference between VCS - C/E and Expressway-C/E, also on their differences in license.
In short - used only for ARM Expressway, Expressway-C cannot be SIP/H.323 in the office, just as a proxy for CUCM (AFAIK).

Here is the discussion and the replica of the Cisco employee who comments Jabber and MRA may not be on the same pair of VCS/Expressway - https://supportforums.cisco.com/discussion/12289446/jabber-guest-and-mra-same-expressway

And you can configure B2B (XMPP Federation for example) on the motorway-E but before deployment, you must consider some limitations:

Simultaneous internal Federation Unified CM IM and presence services, as well as the Federation-controlled external
managed by VCS Cisco only is not supported. If a single internal Federation is required, you must use
cross-domain Federation unified CM IM and presence Service. The deployment of the available Federation
    configuration options are:
l the external Federation only (managed by Cisco VCS).
l internal Federation only (managed by Cisco Unified CM IM and presence Service).
l internal and external Federation run by Cisco Unified CM IM and presence Service, but requires
setting up your firewall to allow incoming connections.
the information in this document - http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/expressway/config_guide/X8-5/XMPP-Federation-with-Cisco-Expressway-and-IM-and-Presence-Service.pdf

  • Collaboration and telepresence Solution

    Hi people,

I would ask you recommendations on how we implement the solution that we offer for the customer.

    • The client have existing CUCM running version 10.x
    • Cisco IP phones and Polycom video settings are saved on the CUCM for call control

We have offered and introduce a solution of Collaboration Edge/MRA and integrate the system existing.

The solution consists of new telepresence video infrastructure and endpoints:

    • Cisco Core Expressway
    • The highway from Cisco
    • Cisco TMS/TMSPE
    • Cisco Telepresense servers
    • Conductor of Cisco Telepresence
    • Cisco Telepresence Content Server
    • Cisco SX Series (to be placed on the existing CUCM) endpoints

There are two options that came out in my mind, how to integrate these new infra to the existing.

1 CUCM will take all the call control and integrate all of these new infrastructures (managers, telepresence servers, TCS)

2 expressway Core (VCSC) will take control of calls for drivers, the telepresence servers, TCS and create between VCSC and CUCM SIP trunk.

What is the best option? Need your recommendations.

    Thank you.

    Hello

Yes, you can create a SIP of CUCM trunk to Trade Commissioner as explained in the following guide
