PCG-7V2L restore CD/disc

I wonder if someone can help me to share a copy of the restore disk/CD for laptop with model PCG-7V2L (vgn-fe88oe).  It is really appreciated in advance if you can share.  I'll pay for the CD/DVD virgins and shipping/handling.  I moved around a lot and lost the disk to restore this laptop.

Contact Sony Vaio at the link above and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

Or borrow a good DVD (not Dell, HP, etc.) Vista.
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

See you soon. Mick Murphy - Microsoft partner

  • Problems with system restore recovery disc

    I accidently turned off my computer when starting, so now it doesn't start any more.
    So, I finally burned an ISO recovery disk, and I use recovery tools by booting from a CD.  I have a system of two days, which has the chance to restore.  However, he says that the disc is damaged.  To restore, I must check the C drive.  However, I can't check that right now, because it is in use.  So I have to schedule a check disk for the next boot.
    However, the next time I start, it starts on the hard drive and then returns to the black screen - the original problem.  So, I have to turn it off and try something else.
    I'm really close, it seems and the files are there, I can't access it.  It is quite frustrating.  What should I do?  Don't forget, I have access to a prompt from here.
    So is there a way to recover my system, or what I need to get a Vista disk and reinstall? I have all my backup files, via Ubuntu, so if I have to, I can reinstall Vista.  I would like to avoid this if possible, however.

    I lost my laptop computer restore disc and it is no longer supported by the manufacturer. Can I use the installation disc for my desktop with my laptop serial number?

    My title says it all. I have an old HP laptop that they do not send to restore the disc more (I don't know yet I had one; his old laptop from my brother) and I have an installation disc for my new PC. I have a Windows XP Home edition SP2 installation disc. However, as the hard drive of my laptop broke down, I don't know what version of windows it was. I think it should have been an OEM version and the sticker says it was Windows XP Home Edition.

    Now, anyway I tried to install my installation on laptop computer disc, offering series of laptop computer but now it asks me to activate. Will it work if I activate it?

    Thank you

    Unless you are lucky enough to know someone who has a generic OEM drive, which you can borrow, I don't see a practical solution for you.  I advise you to spend the money to buy one, even if you could find one to buy from a reliable source (not eBay!).  Although a generic OEM disc should work with your product key, there is no guarantee that it will work with your product key.

    If your laptop can be retrieved through a restore partition, and you can't borrow a disc that will work with your product key, then you have pretty much exhausted all reasonable or practical options.

    I finally did! I borrowed a copy of a generic OEM drive, through activation and it is!

    Thank you much for the help...

    Now I've done could you help me more? Say now, I returned the drive OEM back (don't want to make an illegal copy) and want to be able to use my current system installed to generate a system disk that will allow me to avoid all the problems I've had up to now. What would you recommend? I've read a few articles on other forums (I did some research!) but is a little confusing. I hope you could help.

    Thank you

    Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

    There is no Vista free download legal available.

    Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

    Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.
    See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.
    Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...
    Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

    They will tell you how to do this.

    Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

    See you soon.

  • Bad restore iPod Nano 4th generation

    This morning, I tried to restore my iPod Nano 4th generation.

    Everything seemed to go in the right direction: I followed the procedure, iTunes has downloaded the most recent software, but after a few seconds an error occurred (order of 1400, in fact I don't remember the exact number).

    From that moment, iTunes no longer see my iPod, and it is present only as a generic drive in the office.

    I tried to restore the disc mode, but iTunes doesn't see my iPod.

    Can I do something to fix this?

    Thank you!

    If you have not seen Windows Insider make sure you update to the latest version.

    Reset the device and connect it to the computer. Now, does show in iTunes?

    Try the DFU restore process described in corrupt iPod Classic.

  • Qosmio G25: Restore UK disks can work on machine USA?

    Hello
    I attended college in the United Kingdom since last September. Has decided to make use of the Easter hols to start on my Qosmio G25 (G30 to the United Kingdom). Unfortunately restore 2nd disc (3rd if count you the disc from the Qosmio player) has a read error.

    I've been in contact with a very nice toshiba service representative, but he says that records UK will be dependent not on a machine of USA due to the identifier is different (CMOS/processor or m/Board).
    Another that ask my brother to ship the original for me disks (I travelled with the backups that I did), the only thing I can think is to try software retreival data on the failed drive and burn a new disc.
    I'm off to a friend to do once I have validated.

    If anyone can shed some light on how to use a disc of UK to recover my system, assuming that it is a question, it would be great.

    Hello

    I don't really know if it will work. I heard that the American units have support different recovery check and if the drive is not the right installation is not possible.

  • Satellite 1100 - DVD disc in the missing device manager

    My DVD Rom drive seems to have disappeared from my device manager. System will not read or write any DVD/CD.

    How to restore the disc without using the recovery disk? (That won't work because the drive does not work)

    Hello

    First of all, you should check if the BIOS can recognize the CD/DVD drive.
    If the BIOS does not recognize the drive maybe the pin connection is loose or the disk is damaged.
    If you have experience in laptop computers, you can check the connection of the PIN. Try to remove the disc and then start Notepad. After close connect the player again in the Bay and start the unit.

    Check again if the drive appears in Device Manager. If he doesn t appear I guess that it s a hardware malfunction, and you need a new.

  • I can restore a hard drive as a new

    is it possible to restored a disc hard as if it was out of the box (I read that you can install an os over a lifetime of hard drive)

    Hey Danny,

    What you read was not quite correct (and completely wrong if he says what you say it says).

    Assuming you have always the correct drivers and software product keys (if any), I can't imagine a situation where you cannot restore a HARD drive as if it was out of the box (except possibly need to use your product key personal rather than used by the manufacturer, when they made initial installation If you use an installation disk of geniune they provided {with a separate special disc drivers and additional software} rather than special discs supplied by the manufacturer to restore the conditions in factory or these disks you created a restore on the computer partition, or by using the restore partition directly where your unique product key is often but not always is usually not necessary).

    Considers Moreover, under the rules that you've read them, the computer could ever be updated to a new Service Pack, and even less from XP to Vista to W7 to W8 - or other (with restrictions based on how it's done, legally, regarding the upgrade paths and assuming that there is the appropriate drivers for the HARD disk under the new operating system).  It could not be changed from Windows to Linux.  Could not be partitioned to dual boot or startup sort even in different operating systems (which would make this feature a little stupid to have if the HARD drive could have only a single OS on it).

    And to go even further, if it really says what you wrote, you wouldn't even be able to re - install the OS at all since the resettlement would be more than one installation on the HARD drive so if your software system crashed or it became necessary to re - install the system, you will need to buy a new HARD drive to do and this is simply not the case.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • get a system for windos xp restore disk, to fix a computer that you were never created to

    I need to create a restoration/repair disc of the system on a differnet computer so I can fix that does not work, I need to do a restore/repair disc of the system to Windows XP Home Edition. Windows has been installed on the computer when it was purchased and a restore disk has never been. I can solve all the problems with the computer if I can get it just to start, a young user has bad corupted serval files including the firewall. I just need to be able to run windows, fix the files and create a floppy disk to restore incase it happens again.

    It lacks a small detail...

    What happens when you try to start (next to her does not start).

    You can make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console and according to what is the symptom of the boot, maybe fix it with that.

    I am confused and do not understand why Microsoft support engineers seem unable to display instructions to make a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console and refer instead to make an ASR disk on a system that will not boot (be able to start seems to be imperative to ensure that the referenced article).  Maybe someone will explain to me how it is supposed to work.

    Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

    Here's how to make a CD of bootable XP Recovery Console:

    If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

    This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

    You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

    The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

    Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

    Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

    It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

    You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

    When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

    Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

    Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

    Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

    You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

    You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

    C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

    The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

    For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

    A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

    In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

    Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

    Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

    Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

    It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

    You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

    Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

    You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

  • Bootmgr missing after the system recovery using discs HP

    I recently used system restore disks to restore my laptop as long as you plant. Once the restore program disc and the pilot has been designed, it is ignored on the screen to finish without any confirmation of a facility. The system has rebooted and gave the message Bootmgr is missing. CTRL + Alt + Delete to restart. Same result when I did.
    How can I get the system to find/fix/create a file Bootmgr to the win 7 OS.
    Use a Pavillion dv7 entertainment series 17 '' laptop with DVD, bluray, blutoothe, built-in wifi, finger photography and recognition.

    Thank you

    You must boot from the installation media you made.

    Then you should see a screen that says install Windows on the lower left side of the screen, there should be an option to repair your computer.

    That's what you select (to fix your computer), and then you use the microsoft article to repair the boot sector.

    If this does not work, unfortunately I won't be able to help you more, because I have no idea where to go from there.
