Hello
Good bit of info to use.
Dell inspiron 6400
Windows XP sp3
150 GB HARD drive
1 GB of RAM
Intel processor t2400 @1. 84 GHz1.
Now, my last question is that I could not run the msconfig for some reason any and someone told me to insert my windows xp disc and go to cmd and type sfc/scannow, but I lost my XP disc. Is there a way to download all the missing files Microsoft?. Except that when I tried to install msconfig it wouldn't let me it says access denied, because I am the admin I don't know why he did it. I have only a single file in this folder %System%\Windows\PCHealth\helpctr\binaries\ now I just checked it again after having tried sfc/scannow without disc and some files are returned...What is the list of the files needed.

Cache of Windows XP/pchealth/helpctr/Office/Personal_32 #0409
In my files in Windows XP, there is a folder named pchealth/help ctr/office cache/personal_32 #0409. This folder contains hundreds of FILES of REQUESTS. If I can delete these files to free up disk space, or are necessary for the operation of Windows? Almost all of the files are dated on the same day and time.
Hello
When a program crashes, a user dump file will create for us to analyze. It is safe to move or delete the user dump files. However, new user dump files will be created soon if a program crashes frequently.
I suggest you use the utility disk cleanup on your computer that will help you in cleaning up disk space on the computer.

Qosmio G20: Question of Media Center Receiver - recovery question
As the abvoe really, I usually leave my computer running from one day to the next day and yesterday I went on it to find that I had 80 MB hard drive (60 GB HDD) to the left. Error messages had popped up and a record of these was recorded in the folder pchealth, under userdumps, or something like that. Anyway I deleted 58gigs with a value of these userdumps, but the same error message kept popping up.
It was a mistake with the Media Centre receiver, but I don't quite know what it is, but it was founded in the ehome folder which I think is located in the main folder of Windows.
I have been into msconfig and stopped the ehhome.exe to start but that seems to ruin the tv/video within the media library settings.
I recently installed the codec and divx player to play divx movies.
I was wondering is that it would be more prudent to use the CD recovery and re - install windows and the software and create a restore point, and then install the codecs to see if the same problem arises, or if someone has had this problem and it heals.
Finally, I actually ran the recovery cd to the above, but when the cd starts the first line on back said something like, 'running Setup for windows 98'. XP is certainly on the 98 and no recovery cd?
Can someone please confirm this for me and all the answers to the above problems.
Thank you.
Hello
I can t believe that Windows 98 is placed on the recovery CD.
AFAIK the Qosmio G20 was delivered with the MCE window.
There is no recovery of Win98 CDs for Qosmio units. In my opinion, this message occurs due to RAID or other drivers that load at the beginning.

Portege R100 hard drive does not work properly
Hello
Recently, my computer suddenly started working slowly. I restarted. Then it took 25 minutes for lunch my windows xp Pro. Whenever I tried to launch an app he bugged and restarted again. After scandisk, I decided to reinstall my operating system with the recovery CD, but the computer still runs slowly. For example, when I opened Internet Explorer, I can't move the mouse or do something else while it's loading the content of the page. everything is locked. When I tried to run the scandisk, I have the same error (but the folder is always different) like these examples:
1 Disk Defragmenter cannot continue prescan because there is CORRUPTION in file:
C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\System\SCRIPTS2 Disk Defragmenter cannot continue prescan because there is CORRUPTION in file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\OOBE\HTML\SDLMAINWhat can be the problem? What is a virus or a hardware problem?
Before beginning the new installation, you can try to repair the system files on the HARD drive.
-Run CMD
-use the command chkdsk/p or chkdsk/r.For more details of command, you can run chkdsk /? or chkdsk/Help
But as mentioned above, is the new operating system installation is without danger, but don t forget to make a backup if you use important and data files on the HARD drive ;)

Noisy fan on Satellite M50D - A - 10 L
I bought this Toshiba model recently (2 months) and has started to hear a noise that transmits the sensation of * weight and drag * of the mesma

I would appreciate help in the future, this problem can be identified.
Thank you very much.
What exactly do you mean by noisy fan?
Do you mean the fan activity or perhaps the noise that would be created by the defective cooling module?Fan performance is dependent on cell phone usage.
This means that the cooling module must work more quickly and often in the case where the dissipation of the heat that is created by the GPU and CPU would be longer than simple. This is nothing unusual.
Of course, you can try to edit some Windows power management settings to reduce the CPU performance and to reduce the activity of module cooling.
But the fact is the higher temperature, the faster the cooling fans -

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities. I understand that you are unable to open msconfig on the computer.
I understand how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.
1. what operating system is installed on your computer?
2. have there been recent changes to the computer before the show?
Please go ahead and follow the steps mentioned and later a update on the State of the question.
Method 1: Rof the United Nations [System File Checker] SFC scan on the computer that would be a search for system files corrupted on the computer and replace them.
For Windows 7 and Vista: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833
For Windows XP: http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310747
Method 2: Also try to scan your computer for the Microsoft Security Scanner, which would help us to get rid of viruses, spyware and other malicious software.
The Microsoft Security Scanner is a downloadable security tool for free which allows analysis at the application and helps remove viruses, spyware and other malware. It works with your current antivirus software.
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Please follow these recommended steps and post if you still experience the problem.

Windows Update gets closed by Windows Data Execution Prevention
Running Windows XP Pro with SP3. Windows Update is set to warn me of updates.
For the last two days, whenever I turn on, a popup appears saying
-Microsoft Windows data execution prevention. To help protect your computer, Windows has closed this program. Name: Windows Update. Publisher: Microsoft Corporation.
It gives me a "close this window" button, but if I click on it it just reappears. The offending executable seems to be wuauctl.exe.
I checked and the only wuauctl.exe on my system is where it should be, in \Windows\System32\, although there are also a large number of \Windows\pchealth\ErrorRep\UserDumps entries all from when I first encountered the problem.
What has gone wrong and what I would do to this topic?
ger1atric,
I suggest that you make sure you have Latest Windows Update Agent. If you do and are still getting the error, then try the steps listed below. If your computer is set to apply DEP to all programs and services, the DEP error message will have a change settings button. If an update of the program is not available, follow these steps to add an exception for the program of the DEP error message:
- When you receive the error message, click change settings.
- Click to select the check box next to the program, and then click apply.
- When you are prompted to restart your computer, double click on OK and restart your system.
You can also add an exception for the program by using System Properties in Control Panel. To do this, follow these steps:
- Click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpl, and then click OK.
- Click the Advanced tab, click performance, and then click settings.
- In the Performance Options, click the Data Execution Prevention tab, and then click Add.
- In the Open dialog box, locate and then click the program.
- Click Open, click apply, and then click OK. When you are prompted to restart your computer, click OK.
