PCI Compliance Server 2012 IIS 6.2

I have a client that is running Server 2012 with IIS 6.2 and so far I've supported all the questions except two to make them compatible PCI.

Here are the two imminent failures.

  • Random WSAECONNREFUSED on Windows Server 2012 / IIS 8.0

    At our hosting provider, we have a server running Windows Server with IIS 8.0 through VMWare 2012. It hosts several web applications. In addition, FTP is running on port 21 on FileZilla Server. Since last August, apparently at random, the server sometimes refuses the connection on port 80 and 443 (WSAECONNREFUSED). He never refuses the connection on port 21. To give an illustration of how randomly, it is: it's happened to every day this week, but it never happened two weeks before. We cannot find anything in the IIS logging. The only thing we can find is that when you connect via port 80 (or 443), even on the server itself on 127.0.0.1, it usually works very well but sometimes WSAECONNREFUSED begins to appear between successful connections. Both, we and our host so far haven't a clue what is the cause, but other than that he's a suspect that it happens on the ports used by IIS, but IIS or the Windows event log will never make anything. Our hosting provider is a clone of this server on which we have disabled most of the web applications. This clone has the same behavior, even at the same time. A third server, which is entirely new (and running Windows Server R2 2012) does not show this behavior. All three are on the same network. After two months of research we have not still find something. Pointers are truly appreciated, as these errors are a problem for ourselves and for our clients.

    Thank you.

    This issue is beyond the scope of this site (for consumers) and to be sure, you get the best (and fastest) reply, we have to ask either on Technet (for IT Pro) or MSDN (for developers)

  • IIS on Windows Server 2012 R2 8.5 sends error 401.2 when change password Administrator windows local, 500 errors

    IIS on Windows Server 2012 R2 8.5 sends error 401.2 when change password Administrator windows local, 500 errors

    This particular configuration is with Coldfusion 11. There is no errors in newspapers and the w3 service still works as are application pools. All websites and app pools run with transmission of authentication request.

    ColdFusion does not work with windows authentication and may be enforced as if reconfigured integrated instance to do this, if this isn't a matter of colfusion.

    Here is what I tried:

    1 I created a new user account with admin rights and disconnected and logged in as them and then make changes to the password on the server, and that didn't make a difference.
    2. I checked that all Web sites using the request pass through authentication.
    3. I checked that the application pool is also using the application-pass-through authentication.
    4. I looked to find errors in which case newspapers but don't see anything there either
    5. I also searched a failure in coldfusion logs and saw no more relevant here either, but I got colfusion running without IIS in any case.
    6. search of the roots of web for coded passwords hard and found nothing.

    If you have any ideas or any ideas let me know.

    I also looked for a solution of TechNet and found that there is a KB to install (2771431) (located here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2765260?wa=wsignin1.0 ), but when I try to install it I get the following error: "the update is not applicable to your computer. I also tried the second step, if the installation does not work and it has not yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  • Windows Server 2012 R2, R2 2008 update 12/08/2015 disabled asp classic download

    I have a Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows Server 2008 R2 running native IIS.

    The web server allows downloading files using just classic asp... no plug-ins or third-party add-ins.

    The two servers installed updates 09/12/2012 off the capacity of the web server to download files using classic asp. The base for the download method was created by freeaspupload.net, who has since disappeared.

    I rolled back these updates and downloading files works again.

    I can't be the only one stuck with a legacy application that needs this feature.

    Anyone?

  • Disabling RDP to the server 2012 iPad

    I Win Server 2012 Standard with gateway desktop remotely installed, configured and works perfectly. However, it seems that the security certificate is worthless for an iPad or Android user. I can successfully remote on the server and all workstations on the network from my iPad with no problems - and there is no security certificate installed on my iPad. Doesn't seem very 'secure' for me. How I can solve this problem (assuming that it is still possible) so that no ONE can remote in without the property security certificate installed? I note that when accessing remote from a windows machine, it doesn't let me connect if I do not have the certificate installed, and there is not a derivation device type. However, with my iPad, I can bypass the need for a certificate, and I don't want that. I suspect it's a kind of change I need to make in IIS. Thanks for anyone who can help.

  • BB 5.00 on Windows Server 2012

    I just set up a Server Windows Server 2012 and installed BB 5.00 to it.

    The installation went well and I was initially able to get the web page to display the main screen. When I click on one of the monitored items, he would meet a http404 error.

    I contacted support and they had me add all things IIS 6 management and check that I had the CGI/ISAPI restrictions and restart IIS and the BBServer. It corrected this problem.

    The second question I encounterd and didn't have to do it in 4.40 was I have edited and created a password for the file editcode, with a special character in it, and when I tried to change the configuration via the web page, it kept throwing an error.

    Well the fix for this was to add the NOTAMP to the seciong of the bbdef.cfg file RunOpt.

    Another discovery in v5.00 is that you must have if you plan to allow enable/disable ability has that you must edit and save the enadiscode with a password in it.

    Thank you

    Brian

    Additional items, that I learned today...

    If you are using Windows Server 2008 and higher (windows server 2012 in my case), you must explicitly create a rule in Windows Firewall incoming and outgoing for the TCP port 25 and port TCP 1984.

  • Level broker for connections to windows server 2012

    Dear,

    I would like to know if there is any risk that the upgrade of the OS of the server holding the broker for connections, web access and management of the profile of windows server 2008 R2 to windows server 2012 or more to enable support of HTML5 connector? Please tell us what is the scenario for these updates.

    Concerning

    Hi Habibgha,

    Hoping to upgrade the OS on-site? It should work, but I don't know if it has been tested. Assuming that your infrastructure servers are virtualized, perhaps you could take a snapshot or clone this virtual machine and try in a lab environment?

    Or you can work on a step-by-step approach, the first stage being, if your current farm is 8.0.1 you can upgrade all roles on your current server on 2008 R2 for vWorkspace 8.5, then build a new VM with 2012 R2 and install IIS and access to the Web of vWorkpace role. Create a new vWorkspace site web access on the new server just for the connector of HTML5.

    I hope that helps!

    Thanks, Sam

  • AUSST 4.0 on Windows Server 2012 R2 installation

    Hello

    I am installing AUSST on Windows Server 2012 R2 with IIS 8.5, although I can't get the thing to work!

    I followed the instructions to use the Adobe update (AUSST) server configuration tool if I do something wrong.

    All updates have been downloaded to the directory "c:\AdobeCloudUpdate" (a little more than 80 GB). I created a new web site in IIS to point to this directory as root and set the permissions to the local group 'IIS_USERS' read, list, etc.

    I followed the instructions to add the types of files for maps to the level of the server, changed the classic and set AppPool to update the 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config\web.config' file with the veriables add path to 5 file types.

    When you try to access the "updaterfeed.xml" of a client computer using the full URL of the "http://co-au-01.contoso.msft/webfeed/oobe/aam20/win/updaterfeed.xml", I get a XML page cannot be displayed error.

    Capture1.PNG

    I created a file of substitution of "AdobeUpdater.xml" and added this to a new package is created in Packager CC and deployed just Photoshop and Office CC application. When I load the soft CC I get a download error when you try to view the applications.

    Capture2.PNG

    I tried to change other web.config files not found on the Server IIS ("C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\config") and also the v2 of .net and .net v4 in the 'C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64', but no joy.

    I hope it's a very simple solution and just miss a step but little help would be highly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

    Tom

    Something I've discovered here is that you need to add a wildcard on the VAC/services/FAC file MIME type (more precisely the validation file), because the files of validation is not an extension so he threw back a 404 error.

    I hope it suits it for you!

  • Cf11 install problem on WIndows server 2012 R2

    We have a new installation of windows server 2012 R2 with a new installation standard CF11 installed on the C drive. Everything is 64-bit. The CF Administrator site and the connection works fine.  cfm files will not upwards in the default directory, but IIS displays htm thin files.  CF Administrator works fine.

    Web server configuration tool will only show "None" in the box of the IIS Web Site.  The usual CGI, APS, etc. were installed on IIS.  IIS and CF11 have in fact been re-installed.  Manual run wsconfig.exe shows no errors.

    The problem is that any call to a model cfm results an error (html pages serve very well):

    Error HTTP 500.0 - internal server error

    The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred.

    Detailed error information:

    Module IsapiModule

    Notification ExecuteRequestHandler

    Manager cfmHandler

    Error 0x8007007f

    URL requested http://localhost: 80 / default.cfm

    Physical path C:\inetpub\wwwroot\default.cfm

    Can anyone give suggestions for troubleshooting?  No newspaper appears to show all information that helps.

    Solved the problem... it is not a problem of one CF but and especially an IIS problem...

    (1) remove IIS... including the inetpub directory... Remove extensibility .NET Server under the Application Development Manager inetpub misuse this... inetpub should be deleted.

    (2) restart

    (3) reinstall IIS and enable all the usual stuff, that is to say, CGI, ISAPI, .NET, ASP, WebSocket Protocol, etc. in the application development

    (4) restart IIS and CF

    (5) Web Server Config set to 'all '.

    60 restart IIS and CF

    The thing completely reinstall IIS and which is only done if you can delete the folder under the root of the drive-inetpub.

  • CF 11 Enterprise install App Server and IIS 8.5 on Web server (different material)

    Hi all.

    Facing a problem of configuration to set up here.  We have the application inside the firewall server and we will have on the DMZ Web server and this web server has to forward the requests to the server see

    I installed cfusion instance HTTP Port 8500 remote Port 8010 host is a local host, with no cluster.  We will have other forums as a result of a port in addition to HTTP and distance on the line.

    So now the question is how to run the connector.  If I run the embedded {cfroot}/cfusion/runtime/bin/wsconfig.exe, it shows localhost as server applications, well, the web server must be IIS, but on another IP address NOT this server, so that the OK button remains grey.

    You would think that you would need to run the connector on the Web server, right?  Well, I do not have CF installed on it, nor do I intend install on my web server, so how do I get on the Web server connector.

    I read a post on taking a wsconfig.jar and pulling the DLL and others, but it is with JRun 8 CF, CF 11 and not IIS 8.5.  Maybe it's the method that I need to follow, but seems to be the new land that has never been displayed in the CF community.  I like to think I'm 'special' but really?  I'm the first to have this set up the configuration, and no one has posted a BLOG about it.  Looks strange OR I'm totally missing something.

    Please let me know any suggestions on how to move forward.

    Running on window server 2012 R2 for CF Application Server and the Web server.  CF 11 E update 3.

    ColdFusion 11 environment distributed for connector with all sites:

    1. install ColdFusion11 on the other server.

    2. Once you install CF11, then copy the jar file "wsconfig.jar" from this location C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\runtime\lib on the IIS server.

    3. configure IIS in the other server. You need to enable the following features at the IIS level only.

    ISAPI extensions

    ISAPI filters

    CGI

    ASP .NET

    5 ColdFusion11 server to connect to the Web server via the Port connector, which is located in the server.xml file. You can find this file in the C:\ColdFusion11\cfusion\runtime\conf, once you open the file server.xml, this is the port that you want.

    Example: -.

    6. Once you check everything in ColdFusion server, then return to the IIS Web server computer.

    7. the wsconfig.jar file which you copied in this server, rename the .jar to .zip file extension an excerpt it.

    [8. create a file with the same structure here magic C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\{Magic_Number}--[nombre would be 1, 2, 3... n]

    {9. now go to the extracted folder wsconfig and check this isapi_redirect.dll, copy the DLL to the folder C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\{Magic_Number}. If you have 32-bit 32-bit copy if you have 64-bit DLL and then copy 64 bit DLL.

    Location of the DLL in the extracted folder

    The 64-bit IIS DLL is located in connector\isapi\intel-win64\prebuilt\amd64\isapi_redirect.dll

    The 32-bit IIS DLL is in connector\isapi\intel-win\prebuilt\isapi_redirect.dll

    10. in the same folder of magic_number create a 'isapi_redirect.properties' file and copy this content. Now, the location and the magic_number might be different.

    extension_uri = /jakarta/isapi_redirect.dll

    Log_file = C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.log

    LOG_LEVEL = info

    worker_file = C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\workers.properties

    worker_mount_file = C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\uriworkermap.properties

    iis_buffer_enable = true

    ip_restriction_file = C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\iprestriction.properties

    AUTH_COMPLETE = 1

    11. create another file 'uriworkermap.properties' and copy the content slot

    / cfformgateway / * = cfusion

    / CFFormGateway / * = cfusion

    / flex2gateway / * = cfusion

    /flex2gateway = cfusion

    / cffileservlet / * = cfusion

    / CFFileServlet / * = cfusion

    / cfform-internal / * = cfusion

    / flashservices/gateway / * = cfusion

    / flex-internal / * = cfusion

    rest / / * = cfusion

    /*. CFML / * = cfusion

    /*. MXML = cfusion

    /*. As = cfusion

    *.cfm = cfusion

    /*. Ft3/min = cfusion

    /*. Ft3/min = cfusion

    / * .cfm / * = cfusion

    *.swc = cfusion

    /*. CFML = cfusion

    /*. CFML = cfusion

    /*. CFML = cfusion

    /*. CFC = cfusion

    /*. CFC = cfusion

    /*. CFC = cfusion

    / * .cfc / * = cfusion

    /*. CFR = cfusion

    *.cfswf = cfusion

    /*. SWS = cfusion

    *.jsp = cfusion

    *.hbmxml = cfusion

    12. create another file "workers.properties" and copy this content

    Worker.List = cfusion

    Worker.cfusion.type = ajp13

    Worker.cfusion.Host = localhost

    Worker.cfusion.port = 8014

    Worker.cfusion.max_reuse_connections = 250

    13. now go to a folder that is C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig and copy the "cfwin32.dll". Location

    wsconfig\connectors\installers\intel-win\prebuilt\cfwin32.dll

    wsconfig\connectors\installers\intel-win64\prebuilt\cfwin32.dll

    14 create a file 'wsconfig.properties' and copy the sub content. Number of bits could be changes to 32 bit if you use the 32-bit environment, this file contains site information and the IIS connector. I created this article that you configure the connector with ALL IIS sites, so set below will work.

    1 = IIS, 0, true, "", bitness64 "

    1.SRV = localhost, cfusion

    15. now that we have created all the files and folders. We will add the IP address of the machine ColdFusion11 if IIS can communicate with CF11. There are 2 places to add the IP address.

    a. "workers.properties" file, where is written "localhost" replaced by the IP address and

    b. "wsconfig.properties" where is also said to replace localhost with the IP address of the machine ColdFusion11.

    16. now we must work on IIS services manager, then start the IIS Manager. We will make any changes to the IIS server and when we restart IIS, it inherits all the mappings Manager and filter ISAPI in all sites.

    17. click on the server and then click handler mapping. Add a script mapping and Add .cfm, .cfc, .cfml, .cfr, and .cfswf managers and then point it to this DLL. C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll.

    Click request restrictions, select Invoke and select the files and folders, and Ok. In the right pane, click Edit feature authorization select run.

    Example: Ask the path:-*.cfm

    Executable:-C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll

    Name:-cfmHandler

    NOTE: Add these Manager you will use not all add them.

    18. click on IIS server and select default Document and add index.cfm as default document.

    19. click on IIS server and select ISAPI and CGI Restriction, select Add and 'ISAPI and CGI path' 'C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll', Description "tomcat_All". Check Allow extension path to run and press Ok.

    Click on change the function parameter in the right panel and check both boxes.

    20. click on IIS server and select the ISAPI filters and add a filter name 'tomcat' and the executable file "C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll".

    21 now, add you a virtual directory to each site else it won't work. To add a directory virtual right click on your Web site and add a virtual directory. Alias name "jakarta" and the physical path "C:\ColdFusion11\config\wsconfig\1\isapi_redirect.dll" press Ok.

    Follow this step with the same Alias and path even to all Web sites.

    22 restart the IIS service, and run any ColdFusion page. It will work.

  • ProBook 6560 b: wireless network drivers - R2 Windows Server 2012

    Would like to know if one got successfully installed Windows server 2012 R2 drivers. I try to install the drivers wireless for two days now and could not get their work. Any help would be really appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello:

    I don't work for or represent HP.

    All I can advise is that HP offers no support or drivers for all windows server operating systems for any mobile business or consumer they ever made.

    With this track record, I doubt very much they will be.

    In addition, it would be Intel to release Windows Server drivers for their wireless cards, not HP.

    I've never seen a card driver wireless for windows server on the Intel Web site.

    Normally the equivalent standard windows drivers work on Windows server most of the time.

    For example: If you had installed Windows Server 2008 R2 on your laptop, wireless Intel W7 driver probably would work.

    But since there is no equivalent W10 driver for the wireless card model that your laptop is, I have a feeling that is the reason why the wireless card does not work.

    You may laugh with some of the advanced settings for the card under the Advanced tab in Device Manager to see if you can get the card to work.

    Enable WMM for example.

  • ProLiant DL320e with Windows Server 2012 Bluescreen

    Hello

    I installed Windows Server R2 with smart supply a Proliant DL320e Server 2012 R2 and it bluescreens much. The blue screen message is a pretty no description "KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE".

    I installed a second Proliant DL320e server and it shows the same behavior, so I conclude that this isn't a defective hardware.

    I found some knowledge which mentions screens blue and with the driver for Smart Array
    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/content-webapp/document?docid=emr_na-c03793656 & DTD = default & local = d...
    But the update and version numbers do not match.

    Drivers, software and firmware for the HP DL320e Gen8 ProLinat Server Page did not all downloads for my OS-, but it displays a warning that it is experiencing problems.

    I tried to fill in the HP Support Assistant, but I got an email in response, telling me that they are currently unable to help with e-Mail support.

    The servers are offline on a clients site in a restricted environment so that they lack updates online.

    During this time, I downloaded the SPP Service Pack for Windows Server
    FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/softlib2/software1/CD-generic/p652182553/v84427/SPPMDSLWIN2013090.2013_0830.7.i... and today, I'll try if it corrects the blue screens.

    Does anyone have pointers?

    Take care

    Martin

    Thank you, I have not found this forum. If an admin could move it which would be best.

    Just in case anyone else has this problem is this question:

    I contacted HP by telephone support and the solution is:

    Do not use smart supply when you configure your server, it is not supported and it will be randomly bluescreen with Windows Server R2 2012. You must install windows directly, so take your storage driver and copy it to a usb key and load the driver during the installation of windows. In my case I needed to use the mass storage drivers for Windows Server 2008 R2 from http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=5293151 & spf_p.tpst = swdMain & spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3Didx%253D%257CswItem%253DMTX_9b5424c852a54e49b501e280e5%257CswEnvOID%253D4064%257CitemLocale%253D%257CswLang%253D%257Cmode%253D%257Caction%253DdriverDocument & javax.portlet.begCacheTok = com.vignette.cachetoken & javax.portlet.endCacheTok = com.vignette.cachetoken
