  I downloaded the new version of BIOS (v1.4) official Toshiba site to update my computer Satellite L500D (PSLK0A - 00U009).   I lowered my Satellite P300-212 from Vista to XP. I used an installation Win XP CD of Win professional XP including Service Pack 3.
  Then I installed all the drivers from the Toshiba site.
  But I still have a yellow! in the Device Manager to the "Audio device on High Definition Bus". The details of this device show "HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 & VEN_1002 & DEV_AA01 & SUBSYS_00AA0100 & REV_1001\5 & 3B6F18F1 & 0 & 0001"
  So I don't know, what driver I need to take to solve this problem. Rather, modemdriver etc are all installed and work fine!

• Satellite L50D - Boot problems after replacing the hard drive

  I just upgraded my hard drive of the pathetic crod 5400 they provide to a SSHD@7200rpm, but now have a major issue.

  I initially image the operating system from the old hard drive to the new drive and have had chronic start-up problems (1-3-4 attempts to start to succeed if it fails at any time (often to the Toshiba start screen)).

  You said that the laptop fails to start up often to the Toshiba start screen.

  From my point of few, this could be the reason why the system cannot be started.

  Another important note:
  The 8.1 win requires enable start secure as well as the UEFI boot mode.

  Last but not least check if you are using the latest BIOS version as latest firmware for the hybrid SSD/HDD

  Then I begin to try all the possible solution I had in my head. I open this Magic Tune, and he says that it s not compatible with my computer, so I uninstall it. I have downloaded the drivers from Nvidia, Toshiba, installed again and again doesn´t work.

  I prove with the nvidia settings and the West without change. NVIDIA doesn´t recognize my laptop as a monitor, screen it recognizes just the Samsumg Sincmaster.

  I looked for people with the same problem in other forums and a possible solution was to turn off the computer, remove the battery and press the power for a few seconds, trying to carry out the computer. I did and it didn t work.

  I put t know if this software must be preinstalled but I'm sure you can use your external display without it. When the external display is connected, you can switch between the LCD and external monitor by using the FN + F5 key combination.   I m bit confused why the laptop does not power upward with battery connected.

  Generally even if the battery would not charge due to the age of the battery, the laptop must turn on correctly.
