PCoIP Gateway and IPv6

We use PCoIP gateway and remote users to log in from home using Microsoft Access live. This works on IPv6 so that the PSG IPv4 address is translated by an IPv6 address. But this means that the external URL parameter on the login server can be set up an IPv6 address. Someone at - it it works or if it is not supported?

The "URL external PCoIP ' set to view Security Server 4.6 is used by customers to view to connect to the Security server. Like all Teradici PCoIP clients require the destination address is an IPv4 address, this ' URL external PCoIP ' can specify an IPv4 address. This requirement is validated by the view.

  • Certificate/Protocol 4172 PCoIP gateway port problems

    Just received my quarterly security scans back, and while I thought I had my security server set up correctly, apparently I still have problems with the port of PCoIP/cert.

    The analyses show the PCoIP gateway on 4172 answering the SSLv3 and by not providing a valid certificate. I have double and triple checked the registry settings and files locked.properties to be sure I'm not serving SSLv3 and present a valid certificate, and all these settings seem to be correct. Check the ports 443 or 8443 shows the protocols/cert are working properly, but the same analysis on 4172 shows that he respond to SSLV3 and issue a certificate of PCoIP self-signed (default).

    Looks like my locked.properties file in C:\Program VMware View\Server\sslgateway\conf:

    secureProtocols.1 = TLSv1.2

    secureProtocols.2 = TLSv1.1

    secureProtocols.3 = TLSv1

    preferredSecureProtocol = TLSv1.2

    enabledCipherSuite.1 = TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA

    TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA = enabledCipherSuite.2

    enabledCipherSuite.3 = TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA

    enabledCipherSuite.4 = TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA

    enabledCipherSuite.5 = TLS_DHE_DSS_WITH_AES_256_CBC_SHA

    enabledCipherSuite.6 = SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_MD5

    enabledCipherSuite.7 = SSL_RSA_WITH_RC4_128_SHA

    enabledCipherSuite.8 = SSL_RSA_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA

    enabledCipherSuite.9 = SSL_DHE_DSS_WITH_3DES_EDE_CBC_SHA

    And here are registry settings that PCoIP gateway should use for the cert (SSLCertPSGNI the key is correctly set to the public fqdn of the Security Server):

    The friendly name on the cert in the Windows certificate store is vdm, and there is a private key associated with the cert. As I said, it's only to default on 4172-443 and 8443 work as expected. No idea where to start looking for why the PCoIP gateway isn't follow these settings on 4172?

    Thank you

    Geoff

    Just got the phone with support. TL; DR version: it works.

    More explanation in the case where you need please Commissioners to the accounts:

    Apparently most of the scanning (in this case, Qualys) services fail to do one very important thing when they probe port 4172, and who has send a SNI. Without this crucial little of info Security Server will return the cert (self-signed) by default, not the one you want. To see this in action, openssl is your friend:

    c:\OpenSSL-Win32\bin>OpenSSL s_client-connect "vcs.XXXXXXX.com:4172" - showcerts

    Loading 'screen' into random State - done

    CONNECTED (000001CC)

    depth = 1 O = PCoIP Root, CN = PCoIP Root CA

    Verify error: num = 19:self certificate of certificate chain

    Verify return: 0

    ---

    Certificate chain

    0 s/O = PCoIP Device/CN=1.1.1.1

    i: / O = PCoIP root/CN = PCoIP Root CA

    ...

    Now try the same connection by sending a SNI (servername argument)-:

    c:\OpenSSL-Win32\bin>OpenSSL s_client - servername vcs. XXXXXXXX.com - connect "vcs.XXXXXXX.com:4172" - showcerts

    Loading 'screen' into random State - done

    CONNECTED (000001CC)

    ...

    Certificate chain

    s:/0C = US / ST = Texas/L = Houston/O = XXXXXXXX/CN = *. XXXXXXX.com

    i: / C = US / O = DigiCert Inc./CN = DigiCert SHA2 Secure Server CA

    The PCoIP Gateway sends the cert right when you connect with the customer to view or with a browser, but if another program (such as openssl) connects without sending a NIS, you will get the default cert (or nothing at all if disable CERT legacy with the key "reg").

    Hope this helps for others who have to explain why 4172 appears vulnerable according to audit reports.

  • After unchecking PCoIP gateway secure on the internal connection server, a certificate customers get software View error

    Hi, we recently changed one of our servers in connection view by deselecting the secure gateway PCoIP setting and then using this server for internal connections of our virtual machine. For the most part, we use zero clients and have no problem connecting on their part to our desktop computers, but when trying to connect by using the client software to view from an office inside the network, we receive the below error.

    view-cert-error.PNG

    As you can see above, our server has a proper cert. I found the following KB that seems to treat my symptoms precisely. However, the KB seems to assume that we want the connection to use the bridge safe, that we do. See below for the values in the ADAM database. As you can see, they are currently empty.

    pae-ssl.PNG

    Considering that everything works well my zero clients, I'm reluctant to mess around with this setting to correct a few clients software. Can anyone suggest another option, or give any indication why this could happen?

    Hi, in the case where this never helps anyone else, I have solved this. I realized that we still had the box for secure HTTPS Tunnel. After unchecking the software view client is more than survey errors and connects properly.

  • Caching server and IPv6 support

    Anyone know if it is possible to configure the server for caching to work if you are using a dual stack IPv4 and IPv6 network.

    When running dua-stack all client devices will prefer IPv6 when it is possible so set cache server service from Apple is to see every customer who logs as coming from a separate network rather than a single network. It doesn't seem to be a way to configure the server caching on OS X Server 5 for an IPv6 subnet, it accepts IPv4 addresses.

    Before that I have to submit this as a bug can someone prove me wrong with a workaround to get a double network stack to work with caching server.

    I got this job, it was just a matter of editing the configuration file server caching by hand to add the IPv6 range.

    The configuration file is located in /Library/Server/Caching/Config/Config.plist

    Make sure that the caching server does not work as you change the configuration file.

    Open the file in the Terminal for editing and search for the following text:

    < key > PreviousDataPaths < / key >

    < table >

    < string > / library/server/cache/data < / string >

    < / array >

    < key > region < / key >

    < string > 65622637284725D55356E27799AC1535 < / string >

    I will use the example of a range of IPv6 for the following subnet, 2001:377:3f:65ec: / 64

    Change the configuration file to add the IPv6 range as follows:

    < key > PreviousDataPaths < / key >

    < table >

    < string > / library/server/cache/data < / string >

    < / array >

    < key > PublicRanges < / key >

    < table >

    < dict >

    < key > first < / keys >

    < string > 2001:377:3f:65ec:0:0:0:0 < / string >

    < key > last < / key >

    < string > 2001:377:3f:65ec:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff < / string >

    < / dict >

    < / array >

    < key > region < / key >

    < string > 65622637284725D55356E27799AC1535 < / string >

    Now add the TXT DNS record in the zone file located in /Library/Server/named/db.example.com

    _aaplcache._tcp 259200 IN TXT "prs = 2001:377:3f:65ec:0:0:0:0 - 2001:377:3f:65ec:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff.

    Now start the update server cache and restart the DNS server if it is running.

  • CameraWindow, Image Gateway and travel

    I have one new PowerShot SX60. I've implemented CameraWindow and can easily view the photos from the camera on my smartphone. When I WifFi, I can also upload them to Canon Image Gateway. We leave for the Viet Nam in a few weeks, and I was wondering how to use these snazzy features to publish photos on Facebook or attach them to e-mail on a trip. While we are abroad, I don't want to spend too much bother time with technical details, so I hope to have a good method under control before leave us. Put pressure on travelers from the world out there with advice about how to get the most out of these features in situations where the available WiFi can only be a cybercafe or hotel? Is it possible to bypass Image Gateway and go directly from the phone to Google Drive? How about you, attach one image in an e-mail or a Facebook message? I'm looking for an efficient workflow to use in situations where the time and access are limited. Any advice much appreciated!

    You don't mention what smartphone you use, so my experience will rely on Canon G7X and window installed on an iPhone camera 6.

    For me - and I have not yet traveled with the combination, just around NYC - would be to use the camera app window to copy the photos you want to send (FB, Message, E-mail) on the phone itself. (In the case of an iPhone's Camera Roll or all Photos/Moments if you hired iCloud Beta of Photo I) Once the photos on your phone you can use either the FB app (sometimes I prefer the paper version), or your e-mail or any account that you used to send Messages to send photos.

    Now - although I've set up an account of the gateway of the Image, I him have not used yet. I guess the 'advantage' of that would be that your photos are stored in the cloud of Canon. The way I suggested above - especially if you don't use icloud Apple Beta Photo - pictures remain on your phone. Not the best solution for photo backup unless it's a pretty short trip. Unless you plan to import all your photos to Google Drive, but I guess they have a dedicated application and would not need the Image gateway to do.

  • IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity says no Internet access

    My computer says that it has access to the internet but when I use a browser it does not work. Also Ipv4 and Ipv6 connectivity says no internet access, and at the launch of the troubleshooting, it indicates that the DNS server is not responding. So there are a lot of problems.

    Hello

    Internet works with IPv4.

    I can't give a targeted response as you have not provided technical information on how you connect to the Internet and devices that are involveved.

    In general.

    Check the Device Manager for the entry of valid card of the wire.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_dm.jpg

    If there is no valid entry, remove any entry from fake and re - install the drivers for the wireless card.

    Check network connections to make sure that you have a Local Area Connection icon/entry, and that the properties of the icon (right-click on the icon) are correctly configured with the TCP/IPv4 protocol in the properties of network connections.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/net_connection_tcp.jpg

    Connect you to the menu of the router from a work computer and make sure DHCP is on, and it is configured to assign IPs which can cover the number of computers that are connected (a bit more will be even better).

    Turn off the computer and the router, reset the router and the computer.

    Right-click on the wireless network connection card, select status, details and see if she got an IP address and the rest of the settings.

    It still does not work, try this too.

    Firewall software.

    Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall Windows Firewall should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
    Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly, or uninstall it completely allowing the clean flow of traffic on the local network. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

    Reset the network stacks .

    Type Cmd in the search text box.

    Press Ctrl-Shift-Enter keyboard shortcut to run a command as administrator prompt.  Allow the elevation.

    Type netsh winsock reset at the command prompt and press the Enter key.

    Do the same process to refresh the TCP/IP, just replace the command typed with.

    netsh int ip reset

    Restart the computer.

    at this point the man, you must understand a few things on your own.  Get the cod, and put the cod in the same folder as the Simulator, they will then work in the sim card.  Or you can browse to a deployment for application with the sim ota and download the cod in this way.

  • Cox and ipv6 connectivity

    I was told by Cox cable, since decmebre 2015 that the Airport extreme is causing intermittent problems with internet connection when you use the internet service from cox and this is due the iPV6 issue. They are trying to restore service, but have not solved the problem. Does anyone know what it is and how to turn off connectivity iPV6 on my extreme choices of internet options apple will affect my internet experience that is speed and safety, or not at all?

    Change the Internet setting for IPv6 on your AirPort Extreme could help maintain your Internet connection, which is more stable, but it will disable also any IPv6 service that may be available on the Cox system.  Security and connection speed are not affected.

    Another way to say the same thing, is that your AirPort Extreme will behave the same way he did before Cox began to incorporate recent changes to IPv6 in its system. Before Cox implementation of IPv6 changes, there is no problems with Apple routers.

    Apparently, Cox took the decision to implement IPv6 in its system differently than other suppliers, and it is causing issues with Apple routers. I don't know if other brands are affected.

    If it is an Apple problem or a problem of Cox is open to question, but it might be interesting to note that users of Comcast and Time Warner are not having these same problems with Apple routers IPv6, while we see many posts from users of Cox almost every day.

    I got IPv6 running on a connection to Time Warner here for about six months with zero problems. A friend who has Comcast service reports even.

    As far as I know, Apple has all the instructions on it, not is not possible to say at this point that the issue is all about Apple, Apple and part of Cox, or Apple is not actively involved in the problem at all.
