So, it's very late here. I worked on this all night. Could someone tell me what I need to do to stop the maddness?

• Appeare photos and videos have disappeared to a destination and the memory card folder after a halt during the transfer.

  I was downloading photos and videos from a memory card to camera in a USB card reader. After that most of the photos and videos (about 245 to 249) have been downloaded, asked me to jump on the last bit. Now, no pictures appear in the folder where I kept them or on the memory card.   I imported a number of photos of my Sony Cyber Shot DSC RX 100 to my Windows 7 photo gallery. Somewhere in the process, I shot some of them. I imported directly from my memory card. Now when I try to view pictures in my camera, it says "cannot display" - the error message also said on another "unable to turn" screen. Does anyone have any ideas about what happened and I can recover these photos in original size on my card?

  Looks like you did with the camera connected to the computer and Windows to change the format (turn).  I don't think you can export these back to the camera.  With the large capacity memory cards, I suggest you not to change the pictures on the memory card and keep for a while before deleting.

  Suggestion:

  Do not connect your camera to your computer.  Buy a memory card reader - they are inexpensive.  In fact, most modern computers have a built-in SD card reader.   Remove the memory card from the camera and insert it in the drive.  Connect the player to your computer and treat it like any other thumb drive USB.  The card reader is small and fits easily in your case of the camera, much better that the cables and such.

  Much faster, without fussing over the drivers, no battery worries.  This also means that you don't have to install anything on any computer to be able to copy your photos.  It also lets you remove the lightening fast compared to in the camera memory card.  Most of the software that comes with cameras is terrible.

  From what you described, it is possible that the processor, the RAM and the motherboard are all damaged. Or also the cold of power supply the problem (which could be checked for appropriate using a voltmeter). The metadata in the library module are correct for the lens and the camera and also shows correctly in Bridge.

  However, with the same software on Macbook Pro a friend - also 10.6.8 LR 4.4, etc - the lens correctly profile to research the goal of the X - e1 self-correction and 18 mm.

  I uninstalled LR on the desktop using an uninstall program called Zap, downloaded 4.4, reinstalled and still the same "error".

  Any ideas on why 1) error and 2) how to correct?

  There are a lot of profiles for Raw images but much less for JPG images.

  LR will only show profiles of lenses that apply to the file in question format. So when you have a JPG image file profiles for the first images will be not displayed in Lr and vice versa.

  If you do not correct lens profile in your list, you will need to download it.

  For this you need the Adobe Lens profile Downloader.

  And for this program, you need Adobe Air.

  Download two programs from Adobe website - they're free.

  Then, install Adobe Air first and when it is installed, install the Lens profile Downloader.

  After installation just to open, it is explicit and display all available lenses profiles once you have selected your camera and lens makes.
