  Never installed an SSD.  Just ordered the HOP 810 - 150se with 6 sata connectors.   I was wondering if I buy the adapter 2.5/3.5 and naked reader, it is safe to assume with 6 sata connections, there should be a game of power connectors?

  Ah - you're not belaboring the point.  I just have to work smarter and harder.

  The Phoneix h9-1387 envy uses the same type of editing HD and SDS. HP Partsurfer seems to have necessary parts for Mount of SDS.  Look here. http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=H3Y51AA the bad news is that there is no check box next to the part.  If you google 654540-001 or 002-654540 you will find the support. EBay seems to have the support. Contact the seller and see if all the "screws" are included. There should be eight; to mount the drive for support and 4 screws to allow the support of drag in the cage.

  If the second HARD drive Bay does contain all the SATA connectors, this means that you cannot add 2nd HARD drive because the motherboard does not support this!

• Phoenix 810-150se: unexpected error condition has occurred during transit.

  HDD replaced under factory warranty.  Restoring using factory restore discs, seems to be okay.  After removing the last cd, System restartsa nd I get above error.   Error message is in light red background.

  I have shut down system and error message repeats when restarted.   during the startup, victory icon is displayed as if victory 8.1 is priming ends up with error revcurring.

  Two possible problems could be the cause of the problem:

  1. the motherboard must have the correct product ID that corresponds to the ID of the product on the recovery disks. HP technical support should have included tattooing on the motherboard correctly during the installation of the new Council.

  2. the CTO options for the 810-150se do not include the new graphics card (Nvidia 780 TI I) drivers. Also, this would lead the recovery disks to fail.

  One of the elements above will result in an error recovery of the plant.

  Win 10 provides the correct graphics driver and active by using product key OEM Win 8.1 in the BIOS.

  Hi all. I recently bought an acer 15 predator model of the subject.it was not cheap. It came only with a 256 GB ssd. When I tried to add also a disk hard wd sata 3 I had a very unpleasant suprize. the blue protection plastic for the hard drive was missing inside and also, there was no visible sata connector attached to the motherboard. am I supposed to buy them separately? What is an act of the local dealer? When you check with them on the problem, they were not helpful at all. they just said I was 4 days after the 30-day free return date and it won't make anything on it.

  I just wonder, I had read that the HPE H8-1220 taken supporting up to 6 sata connections. I see two ports on the card mother labeld sata4 and sata5. I "ve never seen that sata connector type is modular and its a 90 degree Angel and impossible to see from the top."

  Can I use these ports on this system. I have 1 extreme ssd 240 GB for Windows 7 and an OCZ 120 GB for programs and such. I have the original 2 TB disk for my data and use scripts to point to the data files. Who uses the 4 sata ports, I see.

  Anything that works, my question is I want to add a Crucial 128 GB for Linux Mint 12 without having to disconnect the dvd, or add an external usb3 sata cable.

  Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion HPE h8-1220 and motherboard Gigabyte M3970AM-HP Angelica. According to specifications, your system has six SATA 3.0 on the motherboard connectors... probably scored 0-5. Standard SATA connectors... just the right angle are two connectors on the edge of the motherboard. And, Yes, you can use them.

• SATA connector works except in OS

  My OS
  a freshinstall of 100% of Windows XP Pro sp3
  don't "see" hard drives of 1 (one) of 4 my mother card SATA connectors.

  But the BIOS 'sees' them on all 4 connectors, so when the readers of CD BACK starting pass diagnostics disk manufacturer (Hitachi Drive Fitness Test, Seatools) on all 4.  And versions CD for Microsoft Windows (such as the Norton Ghost 14 from recovery disc and "Mini Windows Xp" of 10.1 Hiren's Boot CD) 'See' readers on all the SATA connectors also.

  I am confused, what could cause a mobo SATA (the blue connector #3) connector only work until we get in the operating system?  Including Windows Management the operating system disks, even if I "rescan" WDM or Diskpart.   In the BIOS, both SATA (1 & 2) controllers are enabled.

  Look in disk drives under Device Manager. You see all four disks?

  Is one of the disks marked with a red X which means people with reduced mobility?

  Did you try disconnecting all drives except your boot drive and the sata drive 3?

  Try clearing the CMOS.  This will put your bios to default values.

  Same BIOS shows that there are two SATA ports. There is place for ssd 1.8 ". Anyone know what is the part No. This connector so that I can weld down another connector.

  In General if the second HARD drive Bay is equipped with a few pins where the connector could be connected, then you should be able to use additional HARD disk

  I think that the right connector can be ordered from Toshiba ASP or some online resellers of spare parts for laptop

  Reassemble the system after adding the new power supply.   I noticed a plug in front of case which leads to the small LED on the lower front of the system.  Where this sheet belongs?

  It plugs into a power connector sata, like those connected to hard drives.

  There is a connector on your old diet just for that, you should have a few additional ones on your new power supply.

  Both are pretty easy to fix the parts are readily available, or it could be something else?

  Ask if you need more details, I believe that it is a fairly common problem.

• HP Envy Pheonix 810-210: Possible POWER supply problem?

  I bought the HP Envy 810-210 a Phoenix earlier this year and recently replaced a 645 GTX graphic card a GTX 960. When I replaced it I noticed the power cord was appropriate is more good in the power supply and can fluctuate a little. Now when I move my PC, the power cord will be disconnected and will Crackle. This turns off my computer and I have to tinker with a correct position in the socket to restart.

  What would be the recommended action for this? Is this a problem of cord or plug, do you? Y at - it a power supply that matches or is better than that which is currently in my computer (here), which will be a fit if it needs to be replaced?

  I just got my new computer later that yesterday, when I ordered it I refused for the additional disks because I have a nice new 2 TB drive already.  Then, when I opened the file to add the new drive, I was shocked to see that there are no additional data for additional cable after the market of readers to be connected to.  Is this a common practice of HP to only give me cables for readers that I ordered?  How HP that I add additional disks?  So if I buy or recover data from my last machine cables, can someone tell me where I need to plug into the motherboard.  Although I really like the computer, I am very disappointed in fo HP not providing no additional plugged the data cables to add additional disks.
