"Protective shield"?

Its existence on your iPhone is maybe a problem.  You can try to use the iPhone without this "shield" because it can hinder the iPhone proximity sensors.

  • Qosmio F50-125 starts with black screen after a BIOS update

    Hello

After instalation if new bios (v 2.0), computer sometimes starts with black screen.
Even the first page that show press F2 to enter the bios is not displayed.

You have someone older version of bios?
So, I might try if it's the fault of it.

    Hello

I think that the old BIOS will not help you because the laptop would have known that you try to update the BIOS to the older version, and it would break to the top of the procedure.
In addition, the older BIOS is not available on the European driver Toshiba page.
I think just only a Toshiba ASP had an older version of BIOS.

Anyway, you said that sometimes happens.
This means that this issue doesn't still persist
Hmm. in this case, I recommend the default BIOS settings and update the driver display.

  • Black screen - cannot run Explorer.exe with Task Manager

    Hi guys

I've been Googling the answer to that for the last day and nothing seemed to work.

Basically, my portable was working fine until this morning, when I restarted. After the home screen, just a rear screen with the mouse. CTRL ALT DEL and everything still works normally. I can run programs with the Task Manager, but can not run explorer.exe. He returned in the process for about 10 seconds then disappears. I think that it is the cause of the black screen. I tried downloading an own explorer.exe and replace the explorer.exe in C:\Windows\. My computer it did not as he said I need the permission of the administrator, but of course, I am the Admin so I don't know what that's all.
I tried to restart in Mode safe and that works very well, still, I can't replace the explorer.exe in the C:\Windows\ because I do not have the administrative authorization. I tried to change it in the Security tab of the properties, or impossible.
I also tried to update the driver software graphics cards, checked the Shell in the registry value and made sure it's explorer.exe, used the difficulty of black of Pevx screen, used HitmanPro and Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool to scan and remove malware. I even did a scf/scannow, checked driver C a mistake (which took 3 hours!), let Windows Startup Repair to fix things, tried a system restore but failed. He says that the anti-virus (Sophos) prevented the restoration of the system, so I've temporarily disabled its access scanning on but still unable to restore to a previous (11/01). Program changes that recent such as listed in the system restore is Google + Auto BackUp who came when set Picasa to date there 3 days and a more recent version of Facebook video call I've ever used. I am now running a scan with Sophos, not too promising.
So yes, I tried everything. I think that now, there are only three options:

1 somehow replace the explorer.exe in C:\Windows\ with this new cool explorer.exe, which I downloaded, with the permission of the administrator
    2. try another restore of the system, but I'm sure that nothing will happen, already tried three times.
3 reinstall Windows 7 Edition Home Premium. It will be a real pain.

So please help me! I have courses of due on Monday and this portable do not let me what that be done. Thank you!!!

Please ignore the other my long answer. The problem has now been resolved.

After trying all kind of scans, drinking and sobbing, I came across TDSS Killer from Kaspersky, who managed to catch a 1 latest unique malicious software (that I was too stupid and really looked hopeless and remember the name of), it cures the problem after reboot. Now, the laptop works well like you wouldn't believe. I'm still confused but way too happy now to care. Thanks a lot for your help nevertheless!
  • Windows 7 starts problems with black screen and the cursor because of power failure

I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium OS. Start-up problems arose after the power failure (accidentally unplugged the charger, the battery was not in place) during a video call in Skype. Accessories attached to the laptop at the time were a Logitech Webcam, a dongle Bluetooth, microphone and headphones.

When starting my laptop Asus N81VP, he'll go as far as the 'Starting Windows' logo, then I meet a black screen with a mobile cursor. I don't then right click, CTRL + ALT + DELETE.

    I tried the things:

Start Up Repair = "cannot automatically repair."

System Restore = no available restore points

Windows Memory Diagnostic = at 100%, no screen of detected problems, then black with mobile cursor

Networking Mode Safe Mode/Safe = black screen with cursor mobile

Activate video low resolution (640 x 480) = black screen with cursor mobile

Good known Configuration = black screen with cursor mobile list

Start Windows normally = black screen with cursor mobile

Please help me. I've had this laptop for less than a year, and it would break my heart to have to re - format.

You seem to have exhausted most of the options available in such cases, except two:
D ' log in under a different account.
-To restore your registry files manually. See below for more details.

On your heart that could get broken: have you considered using the imaging facility that is integrated with Windows 7? You can find it in the control panel / backup and restore. This is somewhat marginal in the feature and it can be finicky, but it saved my butt several times.

You can restore your registry files manually to a previous point through the steps described below. The process is complex and requires some careful typing. Ask a computer-savvy friend to help you if you lack experience in this field. Note that it may reset your password to a previous value.
    1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
    2. Select repair in the menu that looks like this:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode
3 log in as administrator if you are prompted.
    4. Select repair when prompted.
    5. Select the command line in the menu that looks like this:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-are-the-system-recovery-options-in-Windows-7
    6. identify the correct drive letter for your Windows installation. It could be one drive other than c, but it will not X:. You do this by typing commands
    DIR C:\Win*
    Dir D:\Win*
    dir E:\Win*
until you find the Windows folder.
    I'll call this "Q:" drive
    7 type these commands:
    CD /d Q:\windows\System32\config
    xcopy *. * Q:\MyRegBack\
    CD RegBack
    dir
    8. review the dates of the software, system, and SAM files. The files created before or after that is your problem?
    9. If they were made before the problem appeared, you can then type these commands:
    copy software / y...
    /y copy system...
    /y copy Sam...
(the two points are part of each order)
    10. restart normally. If things don't work then you can go back by copying files from the original register of Q:\MyRegBack to Q:\Windows\System32\config.

  • MacBook (2010) starts with black screen with flashing Apple logo

I recently got ahold of a Macbook Pro 2010 running very slow so I did a reinstall of the operating system (which was a living nightmare, Macintosh is not as easy to manage as it was at the time of PowerPC) once I got to the top and running, I decided to upgrade to the latest version of El Capitan (an update (not an upgrade I already had a version out there) once I rebooted and let the computer do its thing he began to start up normally, but after finishing the progress bar, he went to a black screen (with the screen still on) that flashed the boot from time to time Apple logo. I forced shut down the computer and start in safe mode with success (that's how I'm typing this post now).

    Thanks in advance.

When you reinstalled, did you remove any third-party system before reinstalling.

A Mac that runs in Mode without failure, but are generally not normally indicates some incompatible system changes.

  • Satellite M70 - 350 - recovery disk stopped with black screen

    Hello

I tried my laptop with the original recovery CD or DVD recovery. He just stopped with the black screen and the error message.

After that, I tried the advanced recovery mode. By selecting the ghost Image, which gave me the Image corrupt error.

Weird enough even installing from an original CD of Windows fails. With that before even I can select something, I get a black screen with a blinking cursor. Appers whil the windows cd is loading drivers.
At the bottom of the screen, there are that many drivers listed one after the other. The last thing mentioned here before the blinking cursor is Partition NTFS.

Cause the original recovery disc has already deleted all the contend on the laptop it's usless now.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

I also think that there is a problem with the HARD drive.
If possible, try to get a new one and try installing the OS using recovery media again.

Do you use DVDs of recovery for the first time?

  • The Windows Setup program does not open. Stuck with black screen.

    Hi all

I'm trying to install windows 7 from an iso file using Bootcamp assistant, Version 6.0.1 but unfortunately just windows installer does not open so I'm stuck with this black screen. I left my sit MacBookPro autour with this black screen during more than half an hour and after awhile, it gets really hot so I interrupted the "process."

I have reset the NVRAM (command + alt + p + r) which did nothing.

I followed the instructions of bootcamp. I downloaded the correct drivers for my model of mac pro book, I created a bootable and partitioned my drive.

The forum has a lot of "black screen problems" but none of their solutions worked for me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    1. leave BCA creates the installer from USB, but not to partition your drive.

    2. download the correct drivers to install Windows 7 and previous versions on your Mac with Boot Camp - Apple Support and replace $WinPEDriver$, AutoUnattend.xml, and the entire folder on the drive flash USB2 Bootcamp.

    3. run BCA, connect the USB cable and click only the Windows Installer and test if the Setup program starts.

  • Satellite L555 simply freezes with black screen (White Stripes)

    Hello

I'm having some problems with my new Toshiba Satellite L555 laptop, it is simply freeze and appears a black screen with white bands.
He don't do it regularly, but it's annoying.

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

    The possible reasons:

    1. a malfubction graphics card
Malfunctioning of the internal display 2. You can view the external monitor to see how it is?

    As little as possible:

    1 a graphics driver
2 operating system itself. Have you tried to reset to factory settings (F8)?

Otherwise, you must contact the Asp (SAV) in your country. Your laptop is still new and under warranty, so it will fix it for free.

Original title: load windows normally screen will not continue

I went to my computer tower and I chose to install updates when closing.  I went back later to re - turn on my computer and now it loads to the top of the black screen that gives you 5 options. safe mode, safe mode with networking safe mode command prompt, windows loads normally and finally to load windows from last known configuration that works.  Problem is that none of these options work.  they all return me to the same screen.  Help this laptop came preloaded with Win XP Media Center edition and I can't get back to work.  IM assuming I need a XP disk support center but I can't find them anywhere! Hi Burton089,

Your hypothesis is right. To resolve this problem, we need to repair your installation of Windows using the Windows XP disk. We recommend that you contact the manufacturer of the laptop to check if they have the Windows recovery disk.

  • Windows 8 starts with black screen on startup.

Original title: BOOT WIN 8 on TOSHIBA SATELLITE

Hi - I've updated to Win 8 on my Toshiba Satellite laptop.  Now, when I start the laptop, it shows the initial screen of Windows but will not perform the process to the lock screen or splash screen.  The screen is black and goes no further.  I have to press the off button and hopefully get to go in standby mode (i.e. when the power led is flashing).  So, I press the button to wake that then displays the lock screen.

Someone has ideas on what setting could be the cause.  I have looked in the trunk of the BIOS but can't find anything.  Also can't find anything obvious in settings PC Win

    Thank you

    Richard

    Hi Richard,

I would be grateful if you could answer the following questions:

    1. You have installed the latest drivers for Windows 8?
    2. What is the model number for Toshiba Satellite laptop?

If you get a black screen after upgrade to Windows 8, it might be due to an outdated or incompatible graphics card driver. Update to the latest version of the display driver should fix this.

Try to remove all external devices connected to the computer and then try to start the computer and check if it works. Follow these methods and check if that helps:

Method 1: To resolve this problem, update the site Web of Toshiba video card driver.

Check out these Microsoft items for additional reference:

    Download and install the drivers

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/all-drivers

Get the best display on your monitor

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-in/Windows-8/get-best-display-monitor

Method 2: I suggest to follow the suggestions provided in this Microsoft KB article and check if this can help:

Windows 8 starts with a blank screen after a standard or hibernation

I hope this helps. If you need help with Windows, let us know and will be happy to help you.

These guys have different levels of service; cheaper if you remove your motherboard and that just send.

You have a port monitor on the laptop. Hang a regular computer to the laptop monitor and the power. Press the fn key and the f4 key when you rewind to see if it appears on the external display. If this is probably just a screen.
