  I had a problem with Blackberry 8900 Simulator and device with OS v4.6.1.199. The problem is with the phone API.

  I was writing a logical management of outgoing calls, so I used PhoneListener and simply manipulated the method callInitiated() as follows.

  The strange thing is that it worked normally on the 4.2 OS, but when tried it on OS 4.6 and higher, the two conditions has no match, even though the number was exactly the same (15245 or 15246). Later when I studied it, I found the strange thing. The calledNumber was to have a character special a.k.a WHAT BRAND of LEFT RIGHT in the Unicode character set. (for more information: read this)

  When printing on the console using System.out.println (), it prints '?' and is of type int 8206. So I had to put a logic peculiar to this particular problem and solved.

  I hope that this help someone having the same problem. Although I write here to see if I'm right and it's a problem known with Blackberry OS 4.6.1.199 or not.

  Yes, there was a very simple solution, just observe that the first character in the phone display is something like '? So, if you try to choose this character and convert it to int, you will get 8206.

  The solution is so just take the charAt() (0).
  Compare with 8206 and if necessary remove the tank from the phone no chain. Then use the rest of the string that will be your phone original poster No.

  My mother Petty West and her friend have both had several calls in the last days claiming to be Microsoft's detection of a virus of his interest. They used STRONG words that worried him as "your pc is to give personal information. Fortunately she was half asleep when she told them to call back. Her friend was incautious cc details on the phone to be charged £120 to clean his PC remotely. They recalled today and be above and I answered the phone. I kept asking for evidence of identity, and when I told them that I would not give the details for what EITHER by phone they hung up on me.

  Microsoft has none of the unsolicited telephone calls to help you fix your computer

  I shave today received a call of a person within Windows London headquarters. He said that I had received messages from an unknown source that will infect my pc with a lot of viruses. He quoted figures which, said, that I could find on my pc to check his ID. I * ask a lot of questions. I felt that this call was not genuine. He had an Indian accent and is very frustrated with my current issues & suspitions. He then passed me to her 'manager' which was still Indian. I asked for a phone number confirm its appeal. He gave me 0800800004! I asked to hold as I called him. Of course I didn't, when I returned to the appellant that he was gone. I realize that this isn't a real call... but I'm sure... What can I do to protect my family & myself.

  It is a common scam. Do not let them give any info, do not give access to your PC, not give them all the money and do not go to all the websites that they suggest. One moment.

  Hi, I am looking to capture the events of phone call on OS4.5. I can do this on later versions by using AbstractPhoneListener, but it doesn't seem to work on OS 4.5.

  You can add a RadioStatusListener as well. Also look at the classes CoverageInfo and RadioInfo.

• Not able to simulate out phonecall in OS 6

  I'm developing an application that requires a follow-up call. When you try to run it on the Simulator for the 9800 with OS 6 I was getting a null pointer exception, but he could not find in my code. After a while I tried to make a phone call to 123456 on the Simulator without my app running, and I got the same result. • System Restore has been removed and bookmarks and bookmark backups

  Hi, my father-in-law has tried to install a speaker sound systems on his PC and needed to return to a previous configuration using the system restore. He has done this, but lost all its bookmarks firefox during the process.

  Just an update: the driver to install and/or the system restore had Firefox set up a new profile. I was able to restore the bookmarks from the old profile via RDP remote (really desperate Phonecall)

• Pavilion Elite m9452p: Flying Blind with a HP Pavilion Elite m9452p - no video at all - HELP!

  It is a Core 2 Quad Q8200 processor Intel PC with 8 GB of RAM and 750 GB drive HARD + 1 TB back up drive running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit (it came with Vista 64-bit home edition Premium, but updated for win 7 just now).

  It has always worked perfectly, but last week there was no video at all when I turned it on. The monitor says 'No Signal' on an otherwise black screen when turned on.

  HDD lights indicate activity and I can hear readers spinning and the LEDs for the DVD and the wireless signal light up as well.  In addition, ports Ethernet led Flash and show activity, as does the DVD player if I put a disc, but no video at all.

  I did the following to try to resolve this problem:

  1. I checked the monitor I was using is working;

  2. I always connected this PC to another monitor DVI to work with no luck.

  3. I have connected the PC to a working VGA monitor with no luck.

  4. I connect the VGA monitor to the VGA port, integrated with no luck.

  5.i tried to boot in the BIOS, but there again, no video is not sure if it goes to BIOS or not;

  6. I have read somewhere that the built-in VGA port will not work if a video card is present, so I removed the video card of exisitng and connected to the VGA integrated with no luck;

  7. I bought a replacement video card (it came with a MSI V240 500 MB PCIex16 card and got a card XFX Radeon HD 5450 1 GB PCI ex16); I installed the new card and tried again without success;

  8. I don't remember if this PC was set to beep on the POST before he always started quickly and without problems. Now that I'm looking for any beeps, I don't hear everything but yet once, can't remember if it still beep before;

  9. looks like it's a hardware problem, but I also tried to boot from a drive of W7 64 Bit repair, but even once, no video so don't know if it works.

  The last thing I remember having seen it was a Windows Update I think to include an optional update to the video driver. I don't remember if I acdcpeted that one or not, but it seems to me that the drivers for the MSI card (nVidia, GE Force pilots I think) that does not correspond with an AMD Radeon graphics card drivers - this is why I opted to get the Radeon card).

  I have not tested the original map, mainly because I don't have any PC with which test (I have a Core 2 Duo Pc with a PCI slot ex but not an ex16 PCI card. I don't know if this card would be retro-compatible with this PC or not).

  I vaguely recall disabling the onboard VGA in the BIOS, but do not remember if it is with this PC or another.

  I hope someone has a way to put video on so I can uninstall all recent drivers or updates that may have caused this (or I can enable VGA integrated in the BIOS).

  I sure hope the MoBo is not messed up (it does not fuel upward hard drives, the DVD player and the fans, etc.) but with no video, it is difficult to know what is happening.

  OK - SOLVED!

  After re-reading my post, I realized that if the BIOS for the integrated video card setting had actually been changed, I could re - put these default settings by resetting the CMOS.

  I had not tried to clear the CMOS by the cavaliers to the MoBo, so I'm the manual MoBo and I cleared the CMOs (which would reset the BIOS to factory settings). I restarted the PC and voila! I now have the video!

  Sometimes the simplest things will solve the whole problem!

  I felt bad that I couldn't solve this problem, as I can usually solve everything that came out on any of my systems, but here I answer my questin oiwn and solved the problem - I hope this will help others too!

• Damaged by a new original drive replacement.

  I hope I chose the correct boad...  Our Pavilion dv6 - 2173cl hangs after the display of the: wallpaper with the fame of the taskbar and the Start button logo Hp and Date/time button. The cursor shows with the blue 'busy' ring for several minutes then all 'freezes' requiring the use of the switch on the case at the stop.  This happens also in Mode without failure.  HP Daignostics returned an error code of 9077j2-50e656-xd0021(7? sorry wrote it in a bit of a hurry, lol)-6ou103 for the car test.  We can always get on the drive as a "slave" drive for personal info, settings are available.  Replacement is practically a given drive, I'm just wondering do the new disk a «plain» W7disc  So my questin is "are required HP programs? "Or are they just ' space takers?  I suspect a problem of overheating, such as case initial drivr a fading... Probable cause of the damage of disk... Right?  All we need is a working disc until finances allow you to buy a new computer. Probably about February.

  That has always worked, I've never had it fail.

  The only thing I can suggest is to make sure that the key is correct.

  The entire disk must be removed to create the space unallocated on the entire disk. Just formatted it is not enough. After you have created no allocated space leaves the Windows disk format automatically, don't do it yourself.
