Photo Viewer Windows 7 has changed?

Hello.  I use Windows 7 and noticed yesterday that when I open a picture by double clicking on it in a folder, it opens now differently from two days ago.  The difference is that the slideshow button which was located at the bottom of the screen in the Center no longer appears.  Previously, I could use this button to start a simple slideshow that would allow me to right click on the screen during the show and control the speed of the slide show.  Now, I can only start the slideshow by clicking on the slideshow icon in the lower right corner, or by clicking on the word slideshow in the upper left corner of the screen.  The problem is that this new method has eliminated the ability to control the speed of the slide show by clicking on the screen during the slide show.  I don't know how I accidentally changed this setting, but I would like to restore.  Please answer me to my e-mail sent, I want kept secret - thank you for the ideas, you might be able to provide!

  • Photo Viewer Windows 7 causes my computer to freeze brand-new

I just bought a Toshiba Portege R705 this week.  I uploaded 10 photos in the photo library, but when I open them with Windows Photo Viewer, the program has stopped responding and the computer crashes.  I tried to end the program with the Task Manager, but it does not work yet.  The only way to get the computer to respond is through a difficult stop (hitting the power button).    The problem has happened about a dozen times.

When I opened the same pictures with Windows Media Center, everything works fine.

  • Upgrade of Windows 8 has changed my graphics card driver, & now I get vertical bars on the screen.

Upgrade of Windows 8 has changed my graphics card driver, & now I get vertical bars on the screen, sometimes flashing. It is sometimes difficult to use the screen, especially when it has a dark background. It is a HP Desktop quad core with card Nvidia GEForce 9600.  I tried to roll back the driver, but that didn't help. I assume that the driver I need is no longer available. I also went to Nvidia to try to find a better driver that would eliminate this problem, but no luck.  Before, this came with an update on Vista, & I could correct in the way to roll back the driver. Any help would be appreciated.

Go to www.nvidia.com and download the WHQL 306,97 drivers updated successfully.

With the installation of Windows 8, Microsoft provides only the "bare" minimum drivers in order to complete the installation of Windows.

  • Photo Viewer Windows will not start

My windows photo viewer has recently given the error code that it wouldn't start.  I tried to solve the problem by running the sfc/scannow.  The result: protection of resources Windows found corrupt files but was unable to remedy.   The viewer still does not start.  I Systime of operating disk that accompanies it by computer, but there is a warning on the disc, saying that the resettlement will erase all data and files from the hard drive.  All of the suggestions.
Another photo program stopped working as well as the windows photo viewer.

We will see if there is a problem with your file system.

Go to start / accessories / Control Panel and right click on command prompt and click Run as administrator.

Type sfc/scannow (Note space is inmportant) and enter and let it run.  It will scan and fix some of your system files.  If all goes well it will finish without error (let us know if it ends with errors, it cannot be resolved) then try your programs and see if they work now.

If this does not work, try a repair/upgrade to systems level by bootiing on your CD of the OS.  Here is a link to some pointers on how to do it: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-vista.html. If you have SP2 installed on your system, you must first uninstall it for this process to work (and then download and reinstall when it's done). It is a much more complete repair process the command sfc (and may take a few moments).  Then again your programs.  If you have still the problem is probably with the program and not with Vista - and we can work on solutions so that if it becomes necessary (or refer you to another Vista forum that specializes in installation programs).

Good luck. I hope this helps.

  • Some JPG files in Photo Viewer Windows crushed to a fine line

Hello. I just bought a new Dell XPS8000 with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit preinstalled system.   When I saw the files using the Windows Photo Viewer, they are crushed to a horizontal line about 5 pixels thick.

Exactly as described here, in fact:

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/showthread.php?t=444102

    Anyone know a solution?

The computer has an nVidia GeForce GTS240 graphics card.

    Thank you.

    Hi Willm25,

    (1) the issue is only with JPG format files?

    (2) was - it the same way since the installation of Windows 7 or has she started towards the end?

    3) saying: "some files using the viewer of picture Windows they are crushed down to a horizontal line about 5 pixels thick" you mean that the issue is not with all the images in JPG format also?

Not sure of what exactly is causing the problem. Now I would say allowing you to run a file system (CFS) Checker scan and see if it finds corrupted files.

To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

Let us know if that fixes the problem or to further support on the issue.

  • Photo Viewer Windows showing as negative images and then print negatives

    Hello

When I right-click on a JPEG file to print from the Windows, the preview of the image photo viewer appears as a negative, and that's how we print.  It is irrelevant, I'm trying to print on printer.

I searched everywhere for a solution, someone came across it, and do you know how to fix it?

    Thank you!

Not certain it's the same problem, but I can reproduce a similar effect as follows:

Once the "print images" window with the overview is displayed, click [options] (lower-right). Click on "color management". Click [Advanced] tab. make sure that the settings are correct.

For example, by changing "Device Profile' to 'Agfa Swop Standard', I can get an effect similar to the one you describe.

Whatever it is, it may be useful to check the parameters on this page. Mine are all listed as "System default (xxxxx)" where xxxxx varies according to the category.

Not sure, but it could be useful.

If this isn't the case, after return and someone may have a better suggestion.
