  I installed and made my list of favorites from the editors.  A feature very convenient.  If you add a Publisher/app accidentally in the Favorites control (right) - click can remove it.

• 2D smooth control photo updates

  Hello

  I have a 2d picture on my front that sparkles. I know one solution is to enable smooth updates by right click > Advanced > smooth developed to date, but for some reason, this option is grayed out. Anyone know what is happening?

  Not much of a solution, but I found the problem. For some reason any, if the background of the image control is transparent, smooth updates option becomes invalid. I use LV 2013.

• I'm on a PC, I have PS & Lr (Photo) - update problem

• Cannot install Sierra because updating Photos at a standstill

  Apparently, the new Sierra OS included an update of Photos.  Started Photos updated first, it worked for ~ 30hours 'building a library '.  Tried to complete installation of Sierra, which requires a reboot - of course all Apps must close to restart, pictures will not close because the library construction!  But now the small progress whirly ball is not swirling and there is no options in the Photos menu-all gray, Photos Version 1.0.1 (215.65.0).  I'm afraid force quit closing snack takes pictures of my 16000 images with it.  Have they the time machine upwards.

  Should I force Quits Photos and install the Sierra, then restart photos or is there something else to do?

  I'm confused by the title of your topic, then the body of your message.  Did you install Sierra?  Or are you trying to rebuild your current photo library with your current Photos app before moving on to the Sierra? Photo is part of the upgrade of the Sierra and cannot prevent the installation of Sierra.

  What is your library?  If it is very large that this moment may be offline.  It is small and because you have a TM backup go and force quit Photos.

  Where is your library?  If it's on an external hard drive that is how HD formatted and connected to your Mac?

  

• Updated the Photos to republish

  I have a problem when I republish Photos update the hard drive. It does not replace the picture, as we suppose, but creates a new one with-2 added the file name. It is an absolute nuisance, I now have pictures in double almost.

  In the export dialog box under existing files, choose Owerwrite without warning or ask what to do.

  Now you have to choose a new name for the exported file.

• In Photos, by pressing "buy the book" returns "unavailable store."

  I understand that you are looking for help with synchronization of photos from an iMac to an iPhone, but you see not options for it in iTunes. I know it's nice to have your photos updated on all your devices, so I'm happy to provide advice to help with this.

  From what you described, your friend might consider using iCloud photo library, allowing photos stay up to date on all the devices that made possible it. You can learn more about this service here:

• Cisco Jabber for Windows user Photos

  I noticed that Jabber Client for Windows Cisco does not automatically refresh with updated photos in Active Directory.

  I had updated the user photo in AD and noticed that he wouldn't. I travelled to "C:\Users\\App Data\Local\Cisco\Unified Communications\Jabber\CSF\Photos" and had to manually delete the users photos in this folder. I left on the Jabber Client and restarted the program. When I did this, crashed the Jabber Client, I saved the report of crash and re-opened the Jabber client. This time the customer opened correctly, and the photos update appeared now!

  It seems that Cisco would not set the photos to be cached on the local computer.

  Any thoughts?

  Looks like the similar problem with CUPC. Previously, I had a discussion with our Dev team for CUPC Photos of caching locally.

  This has been identified in the following improvements:

• Windows 8 - How to reduce the resolution of the photos

  In my old computer/operating system, I could easily reduce the resolution of the photos using my photo editor of MS office.  It is no longer available on my MS office 2013/windows 8.  The only photo in windows editor 8 who tries to provide the service will do it only for e-mail.  It also seems that I can put the photo in a 2013 MS Word document, change the resolution and then somehow remove the photo updated-I think, have not actually tried the process.  Really want something simple, easy to use, as it was - I hope that windows 8/MS Office 2013 is actually new and improved.

• Move photos beween hard drives and how it affects Lightroom?

  My hard drive is full and Im going on 45 000 photos to a new hard drive. I have already imported these photos in Lightroom and edited many. If I now move the files to a new larger hard drive Lightroom will still work with them?

  If you move these files outside of Lr, it will lose the connection to the records and must be reset. You can always move them inside Lr to the new location, but there have been reports this makes lose files completely, but this seems to be an intermittent problem!

  I move them outside of LR, and then use the information in the following link for reconnecting them. Whatever it is, make sure you have a backup of files and photos updated to be sure!

  I was wondering, now that I discovered the benefits of eating of the resource, if it would be possible to have 2 shared resources, a local with common themes and images for several projects and another one, remote, containing projects together, i.e. the subjects and images, for collaboration purposes.

  The only local, I intend to use it for my purposes to have common points (topics & photos) update of all projects where they appear and the distance that I intend to use it with remote colleagues, who might want to make changes in the topics.

  This would mean that the topics and current photos will be present in the resources, one local as one remote.

  SVN is not a source control package?

  I'm not sure, but RoboHelp * MAY * be able to integrate with SVN to control projects and sharing.

  RoboHelp comes with RoboSource Control that could be used to provide the source code control. But if you already have a package in place, my thought is why reinvent the wheel? Simply use what is there.

  How to make that box back (it seems to have disappeared) only allowing me to update a single photo at a time? I also tried to copy the development layout by only applying the process implementation check box (for a photo updated), but this does not work either.

  Go to Preferences, in the general tab and click "reset all warnings.  This should make the updating process Version dialog box will be displayed again.

  You can also select all your images in the grid of the library and go to the Photo menu, choose 'Develop settings' and then 'update the process current (2010)' for updating multiple images at once.
