Photoshop CS4 in HTML format

Hi, I am a bit new to Photoshop and HTML, and I was wondering, what is the process that veterans use to get their ideas PSD graphic in a page HTML/CSS work?  Currently, I've been shooting to create a web layout, then once I do some invisible layers, then I duplicate in another file, then save as jpg, gif or png.  This has been a lengthy process and does not always this function well how the layers are broken up or merged. I guess the Veterans know better ways.  Can you help me?

Thank you.

Take your layout, add in the guidelines where you want as your layout to be 'sections' (that is to say, header, footer, content, etc.).  Choose the slice tool, then click the button of "slices of guides" at the top of the PS interface.

Then click on 'Save for Web and Devices', under file. Click on save, then choose HTML and Images in "Save as type" and choose 'other '.  In the menu next, choose the drop down menu for "slices" and select "generate css".  I chose referenced by the class on this course.  Your file generates then both the html code, including the css and images go in their own image file.

This is a GREAT feature of Psalm I use it ALL the time and I am a Web Designer by profession.  Need extra help... do not hesitate to ask!

After a few months, I formatted my computer and I reinstalled Photoshop CS4. Now I can't open my old dng files and I get an error message. • Photoshop CS4 won't open new RAW format

I have CS4 with the latest updates, Camera Raw 5.7 and my CR2 images will not open.  I have a Canon EOS Rebel T3i.

I searched for more than 2 hours looking for a solution and from what I've read, I should have what I need to open these files.

When I go into Adobe Exchange to find a program as possible, need me a page that wants me to download the Adobe Exchange Panel. However

It is only available in CC or CS6, none of them that I have. I can't go through this page.  So I guess that Exchange there is no long for those of us with older programs.

I really almost never use this program, but since I need to open my RAW photos.

I can't afford to update this program right now and I find it weird that they cut off from the surface of exchange for everything else.

If someone could help figure me out how to get my pictures to open in this program without having to buy yet another program that would be wonderful.

I do not use it enough to justify the cost of the upgrade.   What is missing that I need?  The table of compaitable says that I have the right version for my camera.  I am at a loss.

I'm sure that somewhere, someone has asked this before, but for the life of me I can't find one which is based on my criteria, that will help me with my problem.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

    My system features:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400 2.66GHZ

    4 GB memory

GeForce GTX 460 1 GB video memory Dedicaed

    Windows 7 64 bit

The Canon T3i was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 6.4

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

6.4 ACR is only compatible with CS5 and later. It is not compatible with CS4 CS4 so cannot open Raw T3i files...

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

To open the Raw files in Photoshop, your options are to day at CS6 or the cloud.

The other option is to use the free Adobe DNG Converter to convert all Raw the T3i in DNG files. Which adds another step in your workflow whenever you shoot photos. Then, open and edit the DNG in CS4.

If you almost touch Photoshop, another option would be to buy Photoshop elements 12. Then you can open and edit the T3i Raw files but you will have the more limited set of tools of the elements. You can then export to TIFF and open the TIFF in CS4 if necessary.

  • Cannot print from Photoshop CS4 in an iMac OS 10.6.3 to large format printer Epson 11880

Hello! I was wondering if you could help me with this matter.

Old computer: Mac G4 (acquired in 2002)

Old operating system: OS 10.4.11 (Tiger)

    Processor: Dual 1.25 GHz

    Memory: RAM 2

    Software: Photoshop 7

Material: Printer large format: Epson 11880 (64 '' large monster). Prints large posters, banners, etc.

As you can see, it's time for an upgrade...

    New computer: iMac

New operating system: OS 10.6.3 (Snow Leopard)

    Processor name: Intel Core i7

    Processor speed: 2.8 GHz

    Number of processors: 1

    Total number of Cores: 4

    Memory: 16 GB

    Software: Photoshop CS4

Material: Printer large format: Epson 11880

Situation: We hung everything and managed to print on the printer 11880 2 times and printed two draws large format. On the third attempt, we encountered a serious problem...

Problem: After opening a file in Photoshop and it sends large format printing to the Epson printer, the file goes to the print queue of the printer and stays there for 6 seconds, and then it disappears. It does not print. :-(

What we have done so far:

    • We have ensured that we have downloaded the latest printer driver for your printer from the Web of Epson site.

    • The printer driver is correct. The computer communicate with the printer and we are able to run all of the commands Panel printer utilities. (check the ink levels, cleaning heads, etc.).
    • And Yes, the printer is correct, because we use it with the old G4 machine for about a year.

    • This problem got so frustrating, that we thought that something that we transferred during the installation of the computer could be the culprit. If at some point we have wiped the drive on the new computer and reinstalled the operating system and do not have all the files in any old computers in this machine. The computer has nothing else in it. Exception: Operating systems and Mac applications that come when the Mac out of the box. The only other program installed in Photoshop CS4 and the printer driver.

    • We wondered if it was just a printing problem, period. So, we added a small printer to the computer - and the old Epson 2200 we have. We have sent a file to the printer and there is no problem.

    • Perhaps, the file size would have been a problem? It does not matter. We can send a large file of 60 MB for the printer or a small photo measures only 8 x 10, and they linger in the queue for 6 seconds and disappear never to be printed.

    • Temporary relief came when we got rid of the preferences of Adobe Photoshop file. After got rid of the file and Photoshop which allows to reconstruct, we managed to print two large files to the printer. Then he failed once again. Trying to get rid of the preferences again, and the trick doesn't work anymore. :-(

    • Another temporary relief came when we created another user to the computer. On the new user account he printed new once or twice only to fail later.

    • And Yes, the printer will print from other Mac programs. If, for example, we open a file to preview and send it to the printer and the file will be printed. And Yes, we were able to print very large files with this method.

In the last two days, we spent 3 hours on the phone with the guys at Epson. They checked the driver, and because the computer seems to be to communicate with the printer and print from other Mac applications, they suspected that the problem is with Adobe.

We called Adobe once and spent 30 minutes with an Indian classmate who concluded that the problem is with how the computer manages the queue. According to him, Photoshop sends the file to the computer, and the computer seems to get rid of it. So he passed the ball and we were told that the problem was with Apple.

We called Apple and met for 30 minutes with a friendly technician who transferred us to a higher level of techno-geek. I spent 1 hour on the phone with Apple, and we tried everything. We went through to the knowledge base of Adobe and tried all the proposed solutions (see Adobe KB406452). It is with him that we found a temporary solution of deleting the preferences file, but the solution was short-lived. Finally, he thought that the problem was with Adobe because the printer is capable of printing from all applications EXCEPT Adobe Photoshop.

We called Adobe for the second time... and after waiting on hold for an hour together, we got an Indian technician, who bless her heart, had a very thick accent and had no expertise, in my opinion. It was good to collect data and it even made me share my computer screen so that he could solve the problem. After being constantly put on hold by him (because he had to consult with someone else), he passed the ball and said it was the problem of Apple. I just told her that it was also unlikely, because all EXCEPT Photoshop print programs. After trying what I consider a "Hail Mary" to REMOVE all printers in my library folder and replacing them does not, he recorded a case number to another technician from Adobe to call us in the coming days.

Because the technician that the above completely blew the library, I just erased and reinstalled the operating system. This time, I did not allow the operating system to date - on 10.6.2 (which comes in the box), 10.6.3. We tried to print using the 10.6.2 and had the same problem. :-(

Conclusion: I think it's a problem of Adobe CS4 does not agree with new Apple operating system. The Epson printer is fine, because it's a product that has been on the market for almost 3 years. What is disappointing, is that none of the companies wants the man to the top and say that this is a problem and that they are willing to work on it. Instead they return the ball to the new company.

I can't believe I'm the only person who knows this. If someone has had this problem and have you found a solution or workaround for it?

    Our engineer:

Looking at the rest of the thread, the user says "However, avoid us all of the computer color management or the printer when printing it right now."

If they use "No. Color Management" mode, I'm not surprised to see failures on the Epson, and that's what gets the note "Is not a valid color space" in the journal.

Use either PS color management manages or printer handles and things should be fine. Or use CS5 and things should be good.

  • If I switch to photoshop CS4 ios10 stops

I'm on a desktop MAC, currently 10.7.5. Photoshop CS4 is running fine. If I'm going to 10.8 or more PS might stop running?

All Adobe CS4 will work perfectly on OS X 10.8.5 Mountain Lion, OS X 10.9.5 Mavericks.

Most applications (including Photoshop CS4) CS4 still work on OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

Adobe Photoshop CS4 is the only Adobe CS4 app tha is still fully functional in OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan.

No Adobe CS4 applications won't work on the new macOS Sierra.

I'm using Adobe CS4 Design Premium under 10.6.8 10.8.5 and 10.9.5 no problem.

Before embarking on a major update of the OS, it would be wise, judicious and careful if you have a good one, the backup job from your current system to a connected external and Mac to format key USB connected external OR USB, Thunderbolt or FireWire 800, Mac formatted hard drive. Then use either app of your Mac OS X Time Machine to back up your system on the external drive OR buy, install, and use a soft, like CarbonCopyCloner or SuperDuper, cloning of data to make an exact copy and updates (clone) of the hard drive internal all. This step is really necessary in case something goes wrong with the installation of the new operating system or just you dislike the new operating system, you have a very easy way / procedure to return your Mac to its former State.

Then, determine if your Mac meets all THE minimum installation requirements.

To download and install the OS X 10.8.5 pay Cougar or the OS X 10.11.5 El Capitan free (if he is even still now available because Apple has just released the free Sierra macOS), you need one of these Mac:

OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion bought code from download by e-mail here.

    http://store.Apple.com/us/product/D6377Z/A/OS-x-mountain-lion

Apple will send an email to the special download code for the Mac App Store for OS X 10.8.5 Cougar within three days of the purchase of the download code.

    iMac (mid-2007 or later version)

MacBook 13-inch aluminum (Late 2008) (13-inch, early 2009 or later)

MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2009 or later).

    MacBook Pro (15-inch or 17-inch, Mid/late 2007 or later)

MacBook Air (late 2008 or later)

Mac mini (early 2009 or later)

Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)

    Xserve (early 2009)

    Your Mac must also:

OS X Mountain Lion, Lion, or Snow Leopard already installed 10.6.8

2 GB or more of memory (I highly recommend, at least 4 GB of RAM or more)

8 GB or more of available space

    Then,.

If you run any older Mac of the earlier PowerPC Macs software, then none of this software will work with new versions of OS X (10.7 and beyond). OS X Snow Leopard has a magic and invisible PowerPC emulation application, called Rosetta, that worked seamlessly in the background, allowing even older PowerPC code software to always work in a Mac Intel CPU.

The use of Rosetta finished with OS X Snow Leopard as the Rosetta application has been licensed to Apple, a company called Transitive software, which bought, I think, by IBM and Appe could guarantee is no longer their right to continue to use the latest versions of OS X Rosetta.

Therefore, you must check to see if you have software on your Mac that may be older than, say, 2006 or more.

Also, check the compatibility of application here.

    http://roaringapps.com/

If you have any antivirus installed commercial or hard drive cleanup apps installed on your Mac, like MacKeeper CleanMyMac, TuneUpMyMac, MacCleanse, etc. now would be a good time to completely uninstall these applications by doing a search on Google for how to properly uninstall these types of applications.

These types of applications will only cause your Mac problems later, after the installation of the new version of OS X and you will need to completely uninstall these types of applications later.

Once you have determined this, you should be able to find the latest versions of Mac OS X by clicking on the Mac App Store in the OS X Dock icon, and then connect to the Mac App Store using your Apple ID and password and if you purchased a download code enter this code.

You can start the download and installation process to install the new versions of Mac OS X for the Mac App Store.

    Good luck!

  • I have problems with Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Windows 7 32-bit Professiol.

When I open an image of the bridge, the photoshop Panel is locked on one side of the screen.  The onle way I can get out of it is CTRL, alt, delete.  The problem persists.  I tried to uninstall Adobe and reinstall with no luck.  I called Adobe and they think that there is a problem with the security system in Windows.  Help, please.

    Hey jrcjr,

This could be attributed to several factors such as conflicts between device drivers, applications, settings of operating system, hardware, and corrupt elements in specific files.

    Basic troubleshooting

    1. make sure that the computer meets the minimum requirements for Photoshop.
    2. install all Windows updates. .
3 re-create the Photoshop preferences file.

Re-create the Photoshop preferences file to eliminate problems that may cause a damaged Preferences file.

To re-create the Photoshop preferences files:

    1. quit Photoshop.
    2. rename the \AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS4\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Settings\Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp directory Users\ [username] Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.old.
3 launch Photoshop. Photoshop creates a new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.
If the problem persists, the Photoshop preferences files aren't the cause. To restore custom settings, quit Photoshop, and then delete the new Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file and restore the original name of the previous Adobe Photoshop CS4 Prefs.psp file.

4 restart Windows in a modified mode
