  Hi all, I am currently woking on essbase and any knowledge of planning so tried to update my knowledge. I installed epma 11.1.1.3 on workstation to VMware windows 2003 that I have windows 7 laptop. oracle 10g installation created a user/database (epma) patterns (sm, ms) is trying to set up the foundation, essbase, planning and reporting and analysis services. the configuration database and register with shared services has failed. I'm doing something wrong. I followed some configuration documents that are documented with screenshots are still unsure as to what I do. Please advice on how to avoid these failures.

  Hi Srinivas,

  I suggest you to do separately from the configuration of the different components. First you configure shared services and continue with the other components.
  And also using the same relational database for all components is not recommended.
  Doing so will make you empty the things about it you give and would be easy to fix too.
  And I'm sckeptic on your database connection.

  Few things to check before you start the configuration.
  1. check are you can connect to the database on firewall problems.
  2 and also check the timeout values defined for the database.

  I know that the installation package is valid because I installed it on my laptop backup (same Max OSX version) after I have problems with my main desktop and it installed fine. I followed all the instructions on the package such as "reboot my system and install again", and the installation continues to fail with the same message:

  Problem solved with the help of the Adobe Support (Mercer).  My problem had been seen in another machine, there are empty folders in the folder fonts (hard > library > fonts) that the installer could not reconcile or remove, hanging near the top of the installer.

  My challenge has been to delete the following empty folders in the folder of fonts:

  AdobeMingStd - Light .otf

  BickhamScriptPro-Regular

  KozMinPro-Regular

  MyriadPro - BoldCond.otf

  TektonPro - BoldCond.otf

  And then rerun the installation program (remember to empty the trash).

  My advice would be to first read the Setup log and search for the names of the fonts files that could not be resolved, then dump those.  Another way would be to export all empty folders in the folder fonts, empty the trash, and then re-Sun of the installer.

  Hello! I tried the support of EA, but they were unable to help my situation. I also tried google, but did not get a lot of research.

  Anyway, I tried to play the Sims 3, but since I did an update of the Windows 7 service pack and an update for my NVIDIA graphics card, it will not open the game. I downloaded a registry cleaner and it has really helped, or have manually uninstall then reinstall the Sims 3 game.
  It has also been suggested, I try a clean boot, but I'd really rather than my last resort.

• Photoshop Elements 10 rollback after installation

  I have a full version of the first elements of Photoshop Elements 10 on DVD. My computer is running Windows XP SP3 with updates. After almost completely finished the installation, the installer will give an error message and roll back the installation. The error message is "the installation process has encountered an error when installing Shared Technologies. The log file says:

  ERROR: DW050:-Photoshop Camera Raw for 10 elements: installation failed

  I read most of the forum posts that mention rollback (also for PSE9) and I have tried most of the recommendations, but nothing seems to help, so I would appreciate some advice.

  I did some further testing and finally succeeded! The problem apparently was with Adobe AIR.

  So far, I was focused on the Camera Raw 64-bit error messages, but then I read in the older posts that these messages are not necessarily fatal. Then, I noticed that the installation of the Adobe help also gave error messages in the log file, which specifically mentions the Restore action:

  The inventory of the csu was not updated for payload {E3794450-8781-11E0-B632-B1904824019B} AdobeHelp 3.5.0.0, the local var value is - 1

  I have already noted some time before this PSE10/PRE10 facility that help Adobe Community Help in my existing installation of PSE9/PRE9 gave error messages after trying to update itself. Also Adobe AIR, which runs to Adobe Community Help do not update itself as well. So I decided to first address this problem. Also, I was not able to uninstall Adobe AIR and Adobe Community Help so I have used the online Microsoft Fixit to do this and it worked perfectly for both!

  Then I re-installed the latest version of Adobe AIR and the Adobe Community Help service. Now, aid has worked and it also update itself again.   Finally, I would like to thank everyone who responded to my original announcement. Although I found the solution myself, your suggestions helped me to think clearly and motivated me to Pierce this debugging session.

• Photoshop Elements 9 automatically cancels Installation

  Hello.  I just "disabled" my 9.0 PSe from an old computer to move to another.  I copied the contents of the DVD on a USB drive to get on the new computer.  When running Setup.exe, it seems back properly by moving 9 PES, PES then organizer of common elements.  After the third stage, he goes to "roll back the installation" of each of the three components.  Is there any solution for this?  He seems to accept the serial number very well.  Thank you!
