• Photoshop Elements 9 keeps hanging my computer

  I have a problem my computer guard "suspended" when I run PE9.

  I ran PE7 successfully for a few years with no problems and recently downloaded and installed a trial version of PSE9. My computer keeps hanging when I use the function of organizer of PSE9. It does not appear to be linked to a specific - activity the system could, for example, work on the regeneration of thumbnails... or rest it. The only thing to do when it crashes is to hit the power button and turn off the computer - shift > alt > del has no effect. Length is between 5 and 15 minutes to make the computer hang after the start of PSE9.

  Measures already taken to try to reslove;

  -It seems that accepts only the computer off due to a corruption of catalog where the Organizer PSE9 wouldn't start. Help has been kindly provided in another post to reolve this (at least now works PSE9).

  -Photoshop and Elements 7 first have been completely leached

  -PSE9 was remove and reinstall

  -The registry has been cleaned and compacted

  Catalogue of PSE9 has been repaired and compacted

  Check whether or not autoanalyzer is running on your computer. If this is the case, then turn it off. Can you feel the performance improves after turn it off?

• Photoshop elements 13 keeps telling me it can't connect to the internet to check the serial number.

  Have tried to install PS 13 elements to drive brand new. (Windows)

  Installation works since it is on the PC and will run if I bypass the connection request, but how much time he'll do that for entry blocks me to use the program?  HE asked several times while the program runs too.

  Manually registered the serial number on my account from Adobe and it's showing as being verified.

  But everytime I open the items editor it tells me to register and then comes up with an error message telling me that it cannot complete the process that I am not connected to the internet.

  Of course, I have internet connection, as I am enrolled into account Adobe, browser, etc..  So what is the problem and is there a work around?

  NB-same problem occurring on the program of Prime Minister 13 elements as well.

  Problem solved through technical support. Host file was writing code to block the Web site.

  Thanks for the advice, but unfortunately none of this worked because of this error to the host.

  Please try some probable solutions as mentioned below:

  Solution 1:

  1. close the elements.

  2. launch Photoshop elements welcome screen and hold the key ctrl + alt + shift when you click on the editor.

  3. continue to press the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete the settings for Photoshop Elements; Click Yes. Items will be open with the default preferences.

  Solution 2: in case any network printer is attached try to launch without uninstalling network or a printer or make another default printer.

  Solution 3: Try launch with anti-virus off or remove the PES of contradictory list.

  Solution 4:

  On the drive on which you installed PES, on my machine, it's on C:

  Go to C:\Program Adobe Photoshop Elements 10\Locales\\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find two plug-in. remove that plug-in from this location and copy it somewhere else.

  Now start PES and check if it works.

• How can I keep my visible background layer when you create a GIF file in Adobe Photoshop elements 11?

  I am trying to create a GIF in Adobe Photoshop elements 11.  To give you the objective of the final result - I am trying to create the illusion of dog legs walking on a yellow background.  Each image individual leg is a separate layer on the yellow background.  I want my background layer to ALWAYS show during the animation.  In ADDITION, I want each paw image to stay on the yellow background that he hosts (if possible).  Here are the steps that I took:

  1. I have my background layer (yellow background)
  2. I layered all the other images on the top (8 paw print images)
  3. I placed these images where I want them on the background layer

  I know that to create a GIF file, I go to 'Save the image for the web', select GIF and click "animate".  The problem is when I preview the animation, it's a single image at a time, instead of the overlay and keeping them on the screen as the animation progresses.

  At the very least, I want the yellow background to show during the animation.  I can live with that if the paw prints don't stay on ;-)

  I would appreciate any insight/help!  Thank you!

  I think that you need to merge each layer with your yellow background, and then try again the gif.

  In other words, put the yellow background under each layer and merge the top layer with the yellow background.

  You use Windows or Mac?

  What graphics card do you use?

  It crash during launch or while closing Photoshop?

  Have you tried to uncheck the graphic processor of preferences > performance?

  I am running 13 elements on a MacBook Air O SX Yosemite version 10.10.

  After installation, I encountered the following problems.

  (1) items 13 organizer application open ok and transfer my photos from iPhoto.

  (2) items 13 open Application o.k

  (3) the editor elements 13 open o.k

  But lately, when you open the application 13 elements after 1 second, the display returns to another copy of 13 elements Organizer.

  I have tried to check the files installed, to check whether they are in the right place, can not see the apparent problems.

  Also on 13 startup items will automatically start despite having left the program before closing.

  Maybe if I reinstalled completely 13 elements problems could disappear.

  Sorry, but I'm still confused. There are only two real parties of PES: the editor and organizer. I guess the other icon is to welcome screen, who don't want any, normally. I trash the three of us, then go to Applications > Adobe elements 13 Organizerand make an icon for it, then to the Applications > Adobe Photoshop elements 13 > Support Files > Photoshop elements editor and make one for that (or when a component is running).

  Stop the machine completely then launch it and try the installation again.

  If that doesn't work, uninstall Photoshop elements trial using the cleaning tool: use of the Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning tool to solve installation problems

• Is there anyway to keep the layers in Photoshop Elements when recording in format .jpg?

  I am new to the use of PES and I like their concept of layers so that the original photo is not altered, however, my preference is to save all my files using .jpg.  I actually discovered yesterday that after 3 weeks of scanning in very old family photos, then using PSE11 and using layers and then backup to .jpg, now when I open it again these files in EPS that the layers created have disappeared.  Help, please!

  Thanks for the recommendation on Googling PSD to JPEG conversion that I'll look in.  My plan is I think the first scenario that you mentioned.  I spent a week off the coast during Christmas pictures old many sorting that I inherited and have since bought an Epson V600 Scanner that came with Photoshop Elements.  I spent a number of weeks of research on the best practices to use with the Epson scanner analysis, then an equal amount of time familiarizing myself with Photoshop Elements I've ever used before.  In particular, compared to the other I used photo editing tools, I really like the ability to retouch PSE and localized sharpening / Brush tool for a lot of old photos that aren't in the best of shape.  To change things (just if I'm not scanning for a year and then touching up for another year +), I'm scanning a group of photos I've sorted by theme and then spending time using Photoshop on these, and most of the time I'm scanning only pictures of people that I know to be members of the family or friends of family nearby. Once this batch is finished, I was moving to the next batch of scanning and treatment with PSE.

  Funny you should mention the kodacolor the slides that you have scanned.  I did this same work (approx. 5000 slides that my dad had in his lifetime) about 7 years ago with a slide scanner that I bought at the time.  Like you, I've scanned everything and then using a tool (Zoombrowser) editing of Canon, I hit only these slides scanned with meaning for me.  Now the phase 2 (7 years later) is scanning in all my photos of old parents, and I've already sorted on the pictures, I think no family, so now are using PSE, I expect I'll do some sort of button until most of them.  Sorry for the lengthy response, but I enjoyed reading of your recommendations and appreciate the help and guidance you provided.  Thanks for all your help and your time.
