Photosmart 6510 does not communicate wirelessly with Mac 10.8

I have a photosmart 6510 and an imac on 10.8

Both worked very well together, with all functions wireless works very well, until two days ago.  Two days ago, I changed my ISP and I have a new router. My mac and printer are connected properly to the new router, but they don't communicate wireless now.

I am able to print the wireless network test results and everything seems fine.

But when I send anything to print I get a message saying that the printer does not communicate or can't find the printer.

So I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer drivers and all of the HP software. Everything was fine - the installer sees the device when the usb cable is connected, it indicates that the device is connected to the correct network and upon request I have unplug the usb cable.  But then I get an error warning:

Device not found on the network:

Wireless network settings were downloaded successfully on your device. However, your Mac could not locate the device on the network.

Please make sure that:

• Your Mac is connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to your device.

• Your device is connected to the network wireless "TALKTALK".

Click on "Start over" to try to connect using the current settings. Click 'Go Back' to enter different settings.

And at this time, I'm stuck.

Can someone advise please how do I get the printer to work again wireless?

Thank you

I think I've solved. restore the factory settings and then reconnected and the corrected IP itself.

My photosmart 6510 does not print in black. I presume that it was the cartridge but I replaced the cartridge and it still does not print. I cleaned the print heads and the cartridge ink levels are full.

The printhead, cleaning of the screen failed touchscreen printer running.  But when I sat down at my computer and used the program utility printing, he did.  I ran an initial print head cleaning my computer and then clicking the button indicating that the print heads were NOT clean.  He then ran a deep cleansing process.  Then I lined up the printheads of the same print utility program.  Now it works!

  • MX410 does not scan wireless using Mac

    Hello

Recently, I was forced to create a new user on my Mac (OSX Yosemite), and since then the scanner on my MX410 does not work wireless. I get the message:

    Cannot scan for these reasons:

    -Scanning is off.

    USB - cable is disconnected.

    Please check and try again.

    Scanner driver will be closed.

    2.156.0

If I change users for older users, it works very well. If I go into System Pref/Printers & Scanners/Scan/Open Scanner it scans very well wireless.

    Any suggestions or recommendations?

    Thank you

Using Navigator MP EX or ImageCapture? If you use MP Navigator, make sure you check the settings on the new users to make sure that it is looking for the network version of the scanner.

  • Photosmart 6510 will not work wireless

I just got a new 6510 Photosmart e - all in one printer which works wireless.

I have a macbook pro, which is update 10.7.2 (I think I'm in maybe 1 or 2). anyway I'm on Lion

I noticed when I opened my printer it had a slip that says: if I lion, do not use the installation disc that comes with it, but to use the one online, so I did.

I had to connect my printer via the usb port on my computer because after switch on and its connection to the wifi in my house and enter my password and connect and have even tell that I am connected to the network, it wouldn't show if I tried to print from my laptop which is connected to the same wifi or my iphone 4 which is connected to my wifi.

so after I connected with a USB and installed all the software and setting up to print wirelessly, for the instructions it tells me to unplug the usb cable (after that he told me that the printer is ready for wireless printing and it is connected and the printer is installed on the computer and everything). If I unplug the USB stick and then he says that he cannot find the printer. It is said to make sure that my printer is connected to a network connection and my computer is connected to the same connection and click on 'Retry '.  they are both connected to the same wifi at my house, and it continues to make me press 'Retry '.

even research on my printer, on the screen, if I go into the wifi settings, it says that it is connected to the wifi in my house.

my computer is connected to the same wifi and wifi doesn't work, because I am able to be online.

I tried to do all troubleshooting HP provided on their website, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled the printer about 4 times. I stayed until 03:00 last night working on this and still cannot get to work.

If someone could help me here please. I'm one step away from taking a day off, so I can call HP and tell them on the phone about it but I don't know who will be an event of the day.

When I have the printer connected via usb it works perfectly fine. everything works. but the second I unplug, I can't find it on my computer and I can't find it on my iphone 4. my computer is connected to the wifi but my printer says that it is connected to wifi (I even unplugged the wifi printer and reconnected several times to ensure that I was connected and I am).

    Hi bradywurtz,

If you open the preferences system - Print & Scan, the printer has a host name in brackets behind the name of the printer (for example: HP Photosmart 6510 all-in-one [G53D42])?

If this isn't the case, then the printer in the print queue is for a USB connection, and all what you need to do is:
1 remove the inscription of the USB
    2. click on the '+' to the bottom of the list (the white box where the printer was included)
    3. find your 6510 (connection type should be Hello)
    4. Click to select your printer, and then click Add.

Given that you have plugged in USB and downloaded the drivers, you must have the latest drivers - but just to be sure, it would not hurt to run the software update and check and updates of HP driver Bundle (the last being 2.8).

Please let me know if this does not solve the problem and I'll work with you more on this.

    Thank you!

  • Photosmart 6520 does not print wireless

    Hello
Previously, the printer was very good in all aspects, including wireless printing. But now it will not print from an iPad iOS 8 or a computer laptop windows 8. It printed before the iPad even on. Same iOS software 8 - so I can confirm it wasn't the iOS update 8 that caused the problem. The same goes for the laptop - it long before print with it on the same operating system. On the iPad, it is not saved as an AirPrint printer and the laptop, he says he is "offline." I think the problem is, therefore, with the printer - if she says it is online and connected to our home WiFi (same as the iPad and the laptop is connected to) or iPad, or laptop can connect or register that it's there.
You can only print wirelessly with the printer (without option of thread) so I had to do the tedious job of printing with Direct wireless. When I do this it's fine, but it takes a while and I could instead just print over WiFi at home.
Any suggestions? I have already disconnected the printer and WiFi and then reconnected (set the password to new etc).
Very grateful for any help. -Louisa

    Hello LouisaD,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I understand that recently you have not been able to print to the Photosmart 6520 an iPad or computer in Windows 8, but you can connect to wireless Direct the printer and print. I also agree that a problem is not present on the iPad or computer, but since it can print with direct wireless connection, I do not have a problem with the printer either.

I linked these two documents: "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer will not print: Windows 8 & Printing Over a Wireless Network with AirPrint FAQ Apple (what happens if you see a "No AirPrint Printers Found" message on my device Apple?), because they deal with the basics and help determine if the network is originally a block.

Let me know the results in detail the best possible, and we will discuss later in this if the problem is not resolved.

    See you soon,.

  • Photosmart 6510 does not have access to the wireless router.

I get the hardware address to ip assinged that begins with 169 and not the ip address of the network of 192.  Was told by HP support yesterday that he had to do with my pc services at startup it prevents access to the network.  My pc has to do with anything?  The printer is independent and should be able to access the wireless router, all my other wireless devices has no problem with this printer.  Sometimes I can get it but can't always, what is the point of a wireless printer, if it cannot operate as a?  Someone at - it a way to ensure that my printer gets ip address, it must without having to start everything each time?

No, this router should work perfectly.  There are a few settings on the router that are important:

    1. ensure that the 802.11 g mode, with 802.11n is fine, but 'g' must be present.

    2. make sure that the name of the wireless network is broadcast.

    3. don't use MAC filtering on the router.

4 set the channel of the router on 11.

    5. make sure that the router firmware is updated.

  • Printer does not print wireless with a laptop

I just got the B210A Photosmart more for Christmas and it is all set to print wireless from all the computers in my house except my Dell laptop running Windows Vista home Edition.  Everything says it connects and work, but I'm unable to print.  I just get an error message.

The only thing I am able to print wireless is when I open the Web page the printer by typing the IP address and choosing to print a test page.

All the diagnostic tools, I downloaded everything that the printer is connected and works well.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall again.  Nothing works.  I also have one Mac and a Dell desktop that so many very good wireless printing.

    Help, please!

Have you tried to disable the firewall of your security system?  Have you deleted and added the printer in Control Panel?  If this is not the case, do it in this way:

    1. make sure the printer is on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by accessing its IP address before continuing.
    2. click on > start > Control Panel > printers.
    3. click on add a printer
    4. Select local printer
    5. Select create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port, and click Next.
    6. under device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under the name of host or IP address, enter the host name of the printer (found on the network printer configuration report the generated above). Click Next.
If you get a message about required additional Port information, then the printer is not found using the host name. You can go back and start over or using the IP address of the printer instead of the host name.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard in the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model is not in the list, then select disk provided, browse the CD that came with your HP printer and select the first file begins with hp and ending with INF. click Open, then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If prompted, use the driver that is currently installed.
    9. He will ask the name of the printer - enter a new name or use the one existing. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. we may ask you to share the printer. Make a choice and click Next.
    11. the printing area of Test Page is displayed. Go ahead and print it out.
    12. click on finish.

  • HP Photosmart C309a does not scan wireless

I read the old post of what is resolved, but the solution did not work for me unfortunately. Essentially, everything works except the ability to scan wireless. I get the following error "Sorry, an error has occurred" at half way through the process. Physically, I can hear the sweeping move!

I tried to remove and add the printer and also tried to reset the system print, but in vain. I discovered I am able to scan wireless using the built-in scanning server by entering the IP address in my browser and should be able to do it by pressing the button on the printer itself or directly from HP Photosmart Studio to do that, but I have. None doesn't seem to work, and I get the same error message.

Any suggestions? I have an iMac with OS X 10.6.2

OK, in order to help others (including me), then all you need to do is install this http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=oj-74786-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&product=3737195&os=219

Are some error messages such as low on ink, which was broadcast on XP is not on Vista SP2, is there a patch for this?

It is strictly a printer driver problem.  Epson doesn't have no drivers for Vista or later on their website, you're stuck with the default from Vista drivers if you want to continue to use the printer with Vista or later version of Windows 7.

Firefox 4 requires at least OS X 10.5 and an Intel Mac. There is a third part of Firefox 4 version that works under OS X 10.4/10.5 and PPC Macs, for details, see http://www.floodgap.com/software/tenfourfox

If you prefer, you can get the latest version of Firefox 3.6 http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
