Photosmart 6520 all-in-ine: printer not found

Unit leaves impression of everything wireless. Checked printer and it says connected. Reinstalled the software put in the IP of the printer. Still not recognized. Turned off the printer and back. Same setup wizard on printer. Device has been printing for 13 months. Just stopped printing from wireless devices. Don't know what to do now.

Thanks for getting back to me.  Sorry to hear that the other steps have not restored Printer PC connection.

Have you tried to set a static IP address?

To give a static IP address to your printer:

  1. From the control panel of your printer, print a Network Setup page and the the wireless network Test report and note the IP address of your printer. Compare the IP address of the printer to the gateway IP address. They should have a similar format (for example, the gateway IP address may be 192.168.0.1, while the printer IP address is 192.168.0.5). If the printer has an IP address similar to 169.254.XXX.XXX or 0.0.0.0, it is not connected to your wireless network.
  2. Type the IP address of the printer in the address bar of your Internet browser, and then press return. A web page appears, showing the internal settings of the printer.
  3. Choose the network tab, then the wireless tab, then the IPv4 tab (your menu path may be slightly different, depending on the model).
  4. On the page that appears, do one of the following:
    • Set a manual IP address. Your router assigns an IP address within a certain range (called the DHCP range). If you know what is the DHCP range, set an IP address in which the last set of numbers is outside this range, but no more than 254. Keep the first three sets of numbers even. If you do not know the DHCP range, select a high enough IP, like 250 (again, for the last series of numbers). For your router's DHCP range, contact your provider of Internet Service (ISP) or wireless router manufacturer.
    • For the subnet address, use 255.255.255.0, unless you know that it is different, in which case you must use this number.
    • To the gateway address and the first DNS, enter the IP Address of your router (it's on the Network Configuration and network wireless Test reports). The second DNS field leave empty.
  5. Click apply. The screen is not refreshed. If you have changed the IP address of the printer that you typed in your Internet browser, you will need to type the new IP address to access the printer. If you have not changed the IP address of your printer, wait 30 seconds after clicking on apply and then click on the button refresh of your browser. Print a page of Network Configuration of your printer to verify that its IP address is that you have assigned.
  6. Turn off the wireless router and the printer.
  7. Restart the wireless router.
  8. The wireless router is rebooted, restart the printer.

If you have changed the IP address of your printer in step 4, then there may be an extra step necessary, according to your model of printer (and only for Windows users):

  1. Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    Start-> programs-> HP-> {your printer model}-> update IP address.

    I had setting successful place Photosmart e-all-in-one printer 7510 when I bought first. Super easy to install and I print wireless all the time.

    I recently moved and tried to uninstall and reinstall the printer so that I could print wireless again. I did exactly the same thing to install because I did the first time and it doesn't work. I went through all the steps help and may not know what the problem is.

    1. the printer is turned on.

    2. the printer is certainly connected to the network. No problem found on the wireless network test.

    3. my computer is not connected to a virtual private network.

    4. the computer and the printer are on the same network. Name of the network on the wireless network test is the same name of network connected to my computer.

    5. There is no firewall does not block the detection of the printer.

    6. the wireless router is not in a bad state of operation. If it were, I would not be able to get online, right?

    7. I do not use the 'connect a new printer' resettlement.

    8. I don't know that I downloaded the appropriate software drivers.

    I don't know what else to check. The only thing that has changed is the router and the internet provider. I got the same laptop before I move. Everything works fine print/scan when connected via a USB port.

    You're not the only one having problems with the SBG6580.

    Your internet provider has other available modems?  (not motorola)

    Recently when you print a document, I find that I have to select the HP Photosmart 6520 Series option before printing, as send to One Note 2010 seems to be defined as the default value (it is now marked by a green check mark).  This has just begun.  How can I change the parameter by default so that I don't have to add an extra step before printing?

    I understand that when you print from your Windows 8.1 computer to your HP Photosmart e-all-in-one printer D110a print jobs are coming in white. I would like to help you today with this printing problem. When you print from your computer, some files are sent to your printer as "image" files If your printer 'think' it prints an image, color ink may be used to enrich or to 'do' the dark. This can be misleading because your machine can really be confronted a black ink, problem of print, but you may think that your machine works great as always black appears in print. While in reality, it's just the ink to mix color to black. Therefore, at the beginning troubleshooting I'll have print you a standalone report diagnosis on the quality of your printer. This report will help us determine if this printing of the blank page problem is caused by your printers ink system or your computer. Can I please you follow the steps below.

    How to print a report of quality diagnostic:

    1. Load plain white paper in the input tray.
    2. Tap the button of the ATM () next to the icon of configuration () in the lower left corner of the control panel.
    3. Press arrow right () and select Tools, and then tap OK.
    4. Press arrow right () to select Print Quality Report, then tap OK. The printer prints the report.

    • If this report prints perfectly: Only the blank page printing problem isn't be caused by your printer. Can I have it please click here to download and run the HP print and scan of the doctor tool. Once the tool downloads, please run the tool to the "difficulty of printing."     • If this report does not print correctly:  That the problem you are experiencing is caused by the printing of your printer system.     Everything you "patches" end with 'the unit of service... " WHAT IN THE WORLD WHAT THAT MEANS!

    This has been a nice printer for more than 5 years, but is somewhat glitch spoil me when using the BLACK INK?

    Thanks for the reply, expecting not one, but what you say is all that we need to buy another printer if we did all the "fixes", etc... etc. you know that take a printer to a repair shop will cost more

    then buy a new one.

    It was stupid of saying me to check on the warraty of HP page when I already told you that the unit is 5 years old.

    My HP Photosmart C4150 all-in-One printer/scanner/copier will SCANNER is no longer.  I uninstalled the printer in the hope of re - install and fix the problem, but now I can't re-install.  He tells me I'm the operating system (Windows Vista - 64 bit OS) is not compatible.
    I remember that I kept getting error messages when Microsoft Updates running on my computer and I followed some "fix" for the error to go away in a few months.  I think I should have done something to mess up my driver?
    I'm not computer savvy so I hope someone out there can help me get my printer, re-installed and the scan option to work again.
    It seems to me have tried every download from the HP Web site, and nothing seems to help!

    2. are you connected to a domain?
    3. have you downloaded the correct driver version?

  • Quality of printing on my HP Photosmart C5580 all in one is not very good

    My parents have a HP Photosmart C5580 all-in-one printer.  Their old computer was running XP and the printer printed beautiful photo (using HP Photo paper).  The recently buy a new computer that is running Windows 7.  They called me after that that they got rid of their old computer XP.

    The problem is that the HP C5580 is no longer made a good job of photo printing.   I have been in their house and they owe me that the use of the printer to print then we have printed a new photo to the printer (which was horrible).  I then downloaded the latest drivers for Windows 7 from HP, installed and reprinted the image.

    The XP computer disappeared, so I've no idea what program they used to print photos.  I used Picas (latest version) to view and print the pictures on Windows 7.

    The new photos are very washed out. They remind me of the photos printed on the ink jet printer initially on plain paper.  They are not photographs.

    Anyone have any ideas to improve the quality of the photos?  If it is a better program than Picasa we should use to print the photo?  Is there a way to caliabrate the printer?

    Hi Dennis you have posted on the discussion of the ePrint/Mobile Forum so I'll ask that your post moved to the Printing Board Issues & troubleshooting in the hope that you receive relevant responses. In the meantime, I suggest that you check the ink levels in the supplies in the printer and print a diagnostic. You should be able to get it out in the printing software HP you have downloaded or directly from the front panel of the printer. If ink, levels are low in all of the test color cartridges to see if that solves the look "washed out" prints.

    I understand your Photosmart 7520 is not turning on and will remain lit. Please follow the steps in troubleshooting in the following document; The HP printer will not be running or to respond when the power button is pressed.

    If the problem persists, I recommend calling HP and let know, the issue and the steps you have already performed. It may be able to let them know that you completed all the steps in the HP document #c01321436.

    Hey Spider! First of all welcome on the forum.

    I recommend to remove all ink cartridges, disconnect the USB cable from the computer that connects to the printer and then turn off the printer completely by unplugging the power cord. Then, restart your computer. Turn on the printer but leave that he disconnected from the computer. After that he ended his power over the cycle forward and reinsert the ink cartridges in the printer and make sure their seat correctly.

    After you have all the cartridges in the printer correctly, then connect it to the computer. See if that fixes the problem. If not post back with no results.

    HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-One printer has suddenly stopped working on my desktop (Windows XP). When I try to print, it just says: error and blocks the QC. I finally have to cancel and delete. It's as if the driver was uninstalled itself. I tried to reinstall with the original disc. However, it will not work and only says I have a newer version already installed on my computer. There are several products from HP on my add/REMOVE list. I tried to uninstall and reinstall. I hit the uninstall, it only flashes, but never uninstalls. Due to the fact that I had a previous HP printer on my computer before buying it, I thought that it can receive signals confused. How can I delete all Hp software and start again? BTW, this printer will work on all laptops in the House, who are also Windows XP.

    Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support.

    I understand that you are not able to scan to email using your 6520 HP Photosmart e-all-in-one printer.  I would like to help.  I have a few troubleshooting steps that can restore this feature.

    First of all, is your printer connected to your wireless network?

    • From the front of the printer, press the wireless icon -make sure that it displays an IP address indicating that you are connected to your network.  If so, proceed as described below, if you are not connected, click here to learn how to fix.

    Then, are your webservices enabled?

    • Front panel of the printer, press the icon shown in the image below:

    • If the printer displays an address [email protected], your Web services are enabled.  If this isn't the case, tap Activate Webservices and press OK to enable automatic updates.

    If you encounter a problem with the activation of the Web services, I recommend that you try to set a manual DNS address for your printer. Often, I find this useful step when working with printing and scanning to E-mail configurations.  It will strengthen the ability of your printer to make a secondary connection with your router.  My friend @PrintApper has asked the steps to set a manual DNS in a post on the Forum - click here to access and scroll down for 'E.      Set a manual IP/DNS server settings of your printer. "

    Once you have enabled Web services, tap the Scan icon to complete your analysis of the configuration of e-mail.

    I have a Photosmart C8180 All-in-One printer that powers completely in the middle of printing, wasting time, paper and ink. It restarts also sometimes more and more and more and sometimes it stops and all the lights blink quickly, show an on-screen error code. During these periods, the power button seems useless. I use the printer with a HP Pavilion dv7 laptop running Windows Vista and an HP / Compaq Presario Windows XP.

    When the C8180 works correctly, it's great. But I can't allow myself to be play roulette of the printer. Help, please. Thank you.

    Unfortunately, I have not found a solution to fix my HP C8180. The 800 number only referred me to another number (866-234-1377) where someone in India tried to sell me a phone support or a new printer. Phone support will not fix a burned capacitor and the new printers HP scan slides. Not to mention the $100. new ink I'll have to eat if I can't solve this problem.

  • Problem with the installation of the solution Center for a HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one printer - C309g

    Hi people,

    I searched many threads and found some tips to remedy this, tried and had no chance.

    I am running Windows 7.  All updates are underway.  When I bought the printer, I installed the software (on Windows 7 OS) from the disc and everything was fine.  Fast forward a year and Solution Center has stopped working.

    Uninstalled all HP software to reinstall.  I could only reinstall HP Update.  I was able to load the basic print and scan drivers, but not following any software, including solutions Center.  Installation stops abruptly after "install updates".

    I even downloaded and tried "PS_AIO_06_C309g-m_USW_Full_Win_enu_140_175" and got the same result as the original installation disc.

    What can I do with my printer (HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One Printer - C309g)?
