Photosmart 7520e: 7520e HPPhotosmart

Cartridge HP CB322WN #140 replace the Photo (to the left of transport) 564 black cartridge? It is written on the front of the package "Does NOT replace the 564 black" (which is on the far right). I don't understand the reasoning for TWO cartridges of the same color in a printer that have distinct functions. Perhaps one is for plain black text? I don't know... would make maybe a LOT more friendly to just have an of each... the slot for slightly larger black for more capacity and combine the two functions.

I use 564 XL cartridges and I would do the same thing with black, but find the evasive answer on the Support Site.

Yes, the PICTURE of 140 # CB322WN is the version of the photo cartridge 564XL to 290 vs photo 4 x 6 130 for the 564 standard photo cartridge.  There are a few considerations to minimize the changes necessary cartridge:

  • Always keep the printer plugged in to an outlet.  If a switch or external switch is used then more ink will be used at the start of the printer.
  • Run cleaning cycles, except if necessary (very rare).
  • Do not replace a cartridge until needed.  The "low on ink" WARNING is intended to provide an early warning of this ink is not enough so you have more time to get a replacement for when necessary.
  • When a cartridge is replaced little ink will use all the cartridges to "Prime" the distribution of ink system.  If more than one cartridge needs to be replaced then replaced at the same time, rather than one at a time.
  • Select the appropriate paper type (plain paper, Photo, etc.) in the driver instead of using 'Automatic', especially if you print on plain paper.
  • If you are printing on the paper then draft mode can provide a print quality adequate printing every day, using half of ink best or normal modes.
  • XL cartridges are usually 2 x or more printing capacity at a lower cost per page than the standard cartridges.

    I had my Photosmart 7520e for over a year and have been able to perform all the activities about it without problem. However, the other day I found that I could scan is no longer e-mail. I tried to unplug the router and the printer and reconnect, as has been suggested but cela did not work. I selected manual DNS server and entered for the preferred manual DNS Server 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for the other DNS server, but it does not work either.

    When I enter the IP address of my printer I can see that I'm connected to the network and ePrint. everything seems to work as it should. But, when I click on Scan to Email I always get the same message on the printer screen: Server connection error. Unable to connect to Web Services. Confirm access to the Internet, and then try again.

    Thanks for getting back to me.

    I have extra information that might help.

    1. Restore the default settings of your printer directly affect the printing on the computer software, however, to re-establish a wireless connection, your printer may be assigned to a different IP address than what you had before.  The significance of this is that you will have to do some tricks with your configuration on the computer to keep print smoothly. Click the icon of your printer on the desktop of your computer after you do the reset - if it loads the software HP Printer Wizard successfully, you are ready to go and that he should still be able to print from PC.  If you get a pop up that says "Connect a new printer", click that and the printer software automatically detects your printer on the wireless network.  The most pessimistic scenario (very unlikely) and if you lose completely any ability to print, click here to install the HP print and Scan Doctor for Windows.

    2. your printer wireless Direct name and default password - these will remain the same no matter what happens.  The SSID (which is the name of your wireless network) will not be affected by the reset.

    3. you will definitely enter DNS information I posted earlier under section of configuring DNS address.  It will be be switched to "auto". Click to set as "Manual" and enter the numbers as shown.  You should not need to access the IPv6 section for this step.

    4. I recommend to leave this setting alone as the default values are already being optimal for any type of impression you make.

  • Photo tray ignored on Photosmart 7520e

    I use a Photosmart 7520e with a class model iMac and OS to date. The printer worked fine for several years. Although I print photos pretty rarely, I was always able to print on paper 4 x 6 from the photo tray. Last week, he refused to print pictures of everything except the main tray. All the settings on all the menus seem to be correct, unless I forgot one, somewhere I have deleted the printer in the printer list and then added.     I think that we are on the right track, let's go ahead and update the software and drivers to ensure that they are compatible with your Mavericks operating system. Please follow the steps listed below:

    Scrub / uninstall

    • Open the Applications folder >HP or Hewlett-Packard folder > Uninstall HP
    • Click continue, click on one of the printers in the list.
    • * Only perform this step if you have not all other HP printers.  Hold down the command, Option , and command, while now the three buttons down, click Uninstall.

    Reset the printing system

    1. click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    2. in the hardware section, click on Printers and Fax/Scan. The Print & Fax/Scan dialog box opens.

    3. make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left panel, and then click reset printing system...

    4. click on OK to confirm the reset.

    5 type the name and the correct password.

    6. click OK to reset the printing system. The printers and Faxes dialog box shows any selected printer.

    Here's how to print a Test report Wireless:

    • Load the white plain US letter or A4 paper in the tray, if it is not already.
    • On the Control Panel, press the Setup icon, and then tap on wireless. Wireless menu.
    • Press the Test report print wireless. The printer prints the test page.

  • Photosmart 7520e: anyone having problems downloading drivers to fix their HP printer?

    First disable my Photosmart 7520e not working 90% of the time. Well-known problem. Only when I let off the power for hours it will power back.

    So I go to the HP website to download the drivers and he wants to check something, he says:

    I just tried downloading and can confirm that it does not work.  There has been some recent problems download drivers HP, I will give an account of it.

    There is no hard drive on the Photosmart 7520e and with the exception of the FAX (which you have not used), there is no personal information stored in the printer.  Be sure to remove all the cards from the front of the printer media.

  • Photosmart 7520e printer all in one

    I was delighted when the HP customer service (day of week) helped me to set up the printer so that I could print my email.   That's all I wanted to do.   It was working fine...  Until I started to print some of the options intriguing on the LCD (I bought this 7520e in May...  It's me that me handles with it now...  Only connected to my WiFi router network, or else, last week...  Thanks for this CS HP)

    There was a little too much actually printing... I had pressed the loads of options on the LCD screen...  More than 3 dozen...  So I just pressed the red X for "Cancel printing"...  After that when I sent my email to the address @hpeprint it is impossible to print!    Before you press "Cancel printing" it worked flawlessly.

    I tried everything...  Subsequently pressing factory reset... It was bad because I seem to have lost the address @hpeprint for my printer that I chose at the start... The new code to put in place the new address @hpeprint...  Should work, but...  Computer says NO!

    Needless to say I'm on a learning curve big when it comes to printers and Windows 8.1 (only to be used in smartphone and Tablet B4)

    Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!

    Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.  I understand that you have recently done a factory reset on your printer Photosmart 7520 and lost your ePrint personalized e-mail address.

    There is no way to retrieve your previous custom ePrint email address, once said that is no longer available to claim again.  You will need to create a new ePrint personalized email address.

    With regard to all print jobs that you try to cancel, looks like you had accidentally subscribed to several applications print on the front.  I've included the document How to access and change sheets printable by HP connected for reference.

    Black ink works very well for text and text with little color, but when you print photos (on HP Advanced paper which is recommended), printed black areas aqua green, or deep.  Other colors are fine.  How can I fix it?

    Open the HP scanning software or click on scan a Document or Photo of the Photosmart 7520 software.

    Select the Scan requires shortcut, and then click the advanced settings link.

    Open the Destination tab and ensure that the option of the display dialog box save under is DISABLED, then click OK and complete the scan, the scanned file name will increase in the future.

    I see that you have a problem with the print options on your computer.

    When the Printers window opens, look for the default printer. The default printer will have an icon small 'tick' next to him, that none of the other the will of printers. Chances are that your default printer has been set to "Microsoft Office Document Image Writer", or a PDF generator.

    Now find the printer that needs to be your default printer. Unless you have changed the name, it will have the same name as the printer model, i.e. HP Photosmart. Right click on this printer, and then choose "Set as default printer". Close the Printers window, go back to your document and try to print it.

  • HP PHOTOSMART 7520E: HOW TO CONNECT THE 75 HP PRINTER TO THE COMPUTER AND THE ROUTER

    Here's my problem.  My modem from my ISP did not work properly and they brought a new modem and set up.  It is obviously not properly configured, and when I go on the computer I have to use the arrow in the lower right of my computer to connect to the Internet.  I also connect my printer using this same low right arrow.  My Internet provider tried to fix this error on the phone but IT does IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY.  I call today for an appointment for a tech to come to my house to fix this.  That's why I can't take back my electronic impressions with crossword games, etc., until it is properly fixed.  I would ask BEFORE the tech comes to my home to BRING A MODEM it IS WORKING CORRECTLY.  When I spoke this morning with my Internet provider, I learned that there are other people in my neighborhood by using the same network, that's why I'm having this problem.  I TOLD THEM THAT I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS BECAUSE ALL THESE PROBLEMS HAVE OCCURRED AFTER THEY HAVE INSTALLED THIS OBVIOUSLY DEFECTIVE MODEM.  I HAVE THEM ALSO SAID SINCE I WAS 'SHARING' A MODEM WITH MY NEIGHBORS, I'LL ASK FOR A DISCOUNT ON MY SERVICE AND OF COURSE, THAT HAS NOT RECEIVED POSITIVELY.   I'll post an update when this problem is solved by my Internet provider.
