Photosmart 8750 and IMAC

I have a Photosmart 8750, which works very well with my windows laptop but when you print with IMAC using the latest version of Safari colors are all faded, the greys are orange etc..

If print text in red, blue, green and yellow, the impression is very good. I cleaned the print heads, removed the printer and reinstalled but still not good.

Any thoughts?

No, I did what you suggested, but this has not resolved the problem unfortunately.

I also have a HP Envy 120th and I can get pictures of very good quality of this print from iPhoto. But with the 8750 I get always the washed colors when you use the HP Photo paper, but oddly enough, the colors are OK when printing on plain paper. Enigma for me - any other thoughts?

    Hello

I have the Photosmart 8750 and I'm in the army. I bought the printer to the base Exchange. When the necessary printer ink base was not for my printer. I'm stationed in Germany for the short exchange of stuff fast enough. I went into town and found a store that sells HP products and the rep at the store understood what my required printer. I bought cartridges and taken home and installed them and they worked as the cartridges supplied with the printer. Later in the year, I need cartridges this time that the base has them. I have bought and taken home and installed the but now the printer says they aren't valid cartridges. A store in rep (Exchange) HP told me the reason was I used cartridges that I received from a German store. How can I fix this problem so I am able to use the cartridges I got the Base Exchange. I have been deployed or I'd do this 9 months ago. Or am I stuck with a brick of $450.00. Anyone who has been stationed abroad knows how sometimes it can be difficult when you need something and you are forced to go on the local economy to find.

    Thank you

Thanks for the update on the support of Mac.  Wasn't the case a few years before, when I was involved with the issues of regionalization.

  • HP Photosmart 8750: HP printer Photosmart 8750 updated the drivers/software

I bought a HP Photosmart 8750 printer when I was running Windows98 and never installed it.  Since that time, we have a computer that is running Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (32 bit) and a laptop under Windows 10 Home (64-bit).  Recently I tried to install the printer on the two systems only to find out that HP has stopped support for it.  Can someone help me find updated drivers/software or am I have to switch the printer during a yard sale?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello @GMan46,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are trying to install your HP Photosmart 8750 on your computers running Windows Vista and 10 operating system.

Because it is an older model of printer, you will need to install the software that you are using the driver integrated in Windows. This is not guaranteed, but may work for you.

Start here: installation and using the built-in Windows print driver

    Hello

Try to download and run the doctor print and scan located here:

It can fix its own much and if not to give a better idea of what is happening.

  • Photosmart 8750: pilot built-in printer in win 8.1 64 bit does not

    Hello

My photosmart 8750 printer, which is a great printer and still works fine, at least with my old laptop that runs windows xp not... Unfortunately with the built-in windows 8.1 HP printer driver (64-bit) does not at all.

What's the case up to now, first time connected, the printer is recognized by windows 8.1 and the driver is installed automatically, if a printer test page send it prints normally. But it is she, anything else, pdf, word doc or an image will not print!

The printer responds to a print command, to start something that looks like it's going to print, but after a few seconds it stops and nothing happens after that, if I look in the dialog box where the docs are normally listed as they wait to be printed there, I'veallready restarted the service of spool printing, but that has not worked... also reinstalled the printer some times , but that did not help...

My perception now is that the driver for win 8.1 is the problem, because the printer works fine with the original HP driver on my laptop to win XP.

If all goes well, there is a work around for this problem...

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • HP Photosmart 8750: Deteriorated HP Photosmart 8750 support?

I use a HP Photosmart 8750 to print both color and black & white photographs.  By various sources, including HP (for example, http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/news/articles/story_3703.html) the best collection of ink to this end is 97, 101 and 102, which gives a system of "9 - ink".  Cartridges, 101 and 102 no longer seem to be available through HP.  A scheme of substitute using cartridges currently being advertised at http://store.hp.com is 96, 97 and 99.  By HP, this yeilds a '8 inks system' which results lower than the 9-ink system.  You find this is the case?  The Internet also contains scattered observations that the 96 cartridge is not suitable for use with the glossy photo paper because ink bleed.  True?

    In summary:

    1. the ink cartridges 101 and 102 permenantly abandoned?

    2. is the quality of the photos printed with 8 inks system lower than the 9-ink system (including black & white prints)?

    3. making prints with smear cartridge 96?

    4. If the answer to (2) or (3) above is 'yes', HP please consider reversing his decision to demote his support for the HP Photosmart 8750 printer?

I hope that you do not find this post a simple duplication of others.  Other posts seem to ask most of these questions, but not directly respond.

I can't say with certainty what will be the Linux driver.  The Apple and Windows driver turns off the black cartridge 96.  The 101 cartridge wouldn't be helpful to print B & W prints.  Using the cartridge 99 would give better black areas in photo.  The lighter grey areas would be probably made go magenta cyan and light ink light cartridge 99 in most of the 97 cartridge yellow.

The HP 100 gray photo cartridge is a reduced version of the 102 (15ml of ink to the 100 HP vs 23ml in the 102 HP) and would work in your Photosmart 8750.  It may still be available at HP, it is still listed on the site HP SureSupply , well as "out of stock".  If this isn't the case, HP, it may be possible to find some other suppliers.  (I checked staples and OfficeMax, both were out of stock).

The Photosmart 8750 is beyond the official support, and most of the documents have been removed from the HP site.  I don't have to find the manual to the user on the site of HP here (recommend registering before he goes) and it lists the optimal configurations of cartridge on page 13:

  • Router Netgear does not recognize the HP Photosmart 8750 (wired connection)

My Netgear WNDR3300 router seems to block my ethernet connected the HP Photosmart 8750 printer. The printer does not appear in the list of the router of connected devices and network printing shows that the network status is offline.

How can I get the printer and the router to talk to each other?

Also, I checked the cable and tried to use a different port on the router; no change.

    Found the problem...

I shined a flashlight in ethernet printer ports and found two sons/connections are folded. :-(

If all goes well, not too expensive to fix.

  • Photosmart 8750 printer unable to be recognized by apple laptop running on Maverick

Hp photosmart 8750 printer may not be recognized by my Macbook when connected by USB.  Apple support has isolated the printer problem.  With the printer connected to the computer only says printer 'offline' and 'not connected '.

Computer Apple laptop running Maverick and printer should be recognized when connected. Also have tried different cords USB and tested USB ports that are functioning normally.

    Thank you.

Hi mdjec00, welcome to the forums there.

I saw your post on your printer has demonstrated that it is in offline mode on your Macbook, running the Mavericks. I would say after the steps in the guide below.

"The printer is offline" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Mac OS X

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

The Message says that error Sorry an unknown error has occurred. I hear the scanner warms up when I open the scanner software. When the error message appears, I then force leave her as the Scanner Error message window will not close. My scanner used to work great. I recently reinstalled everything on my iMac. I reinstalled with the latest software on the HP site. The printer and copier are working very well.

I know that the scanner is working as I just use Webscan with her and the image came, but I have no idea where the picture went my sacnner.  But that is a different problem.

Can you help, pleeease. I've been fiddling with it all afternoon!

You already have the printer hp software on your Mac?  If so, you need to uninstall the software by using the "scrubber":

Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
Highlight your device in the left pane
Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall< scrubber="">
There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now run a software update.

Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" driver and software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

I need to upgrade my Mac (white unibody MacBook mid-2010) with a SSD (and iMac mid-2010) and the RAM and SSD: I look to buy upgrades site Crucial and OWC site and there is a little difference, in terms of money: it's better to buy the Crucial site or OWC site.

MacBook, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

    < re-titled by host >

They have good tools to find compatible parts for your Mac models.  The OWC took is here

    http://eShop.MacSales.com/MyOWC/

OWC tends to have the most detailed information on the Mac.  If I look to the top of the part to OWC and review specifications.  OWC offers often information based on the Mac-specific tests.  If Crucial offer something similar for a substantially lower price, buy it from Crucial.  I'm sure they have a refund is not political, if a part they say is compatible.  I bought the RAM and SSD both Crucial and OWC.  From my experience, be it high quality.

For the 2010 iMac, OWC also offers a "kit" (with the tools and support) to replace the hard drive of 3.5 inches with a 2.5-inch SSD.  Eventually, if it's a 27-inch iMac, I think that you can Add the SSD instead of replace the hard drive.  And they have self-produced how-to videos on the process, related to many of their lists of products.  OWC provides a lot of information with added value and service for Mac users.

OWC also offers kits to replace the optical drive on some Macs (including MacBooks) with an SSD (as a secondary internal drive).

  • HP Photosmart D5360: check ink levels HP Photosmart D5360 and use Windows 8.1

check the ink levels HP Photosmart D5360 and use Windows 8.1; Windows 7 has a HP Solution Center but Windows 8.1 is not?

    Hi @torbay,

By your post, I see that you have no software to verify the printer ink levels using Windows 8.1. I would like to help you today.

I checked online and there is a software HP Photosmart full feature and driverswho should still support the printer services. If you use the old or Windows Update drivers, remove them and install the latest drivers.

You can also download and run the print and Scan doctor, it can predict the ink levels and services available for the printer. HP printers - help print and scan the doctor for Windows to solve printer problems. Go to the section how can I use the services of diagnosis and cleaning of printer?

  • Difference between display and iMac Thunderbolt

What is the difference between Thunderbolt display and iMac, in terms of display quality? It seems to be too expensive compared to the latter? Although the iMac 27 "is 5 k and Thunderbolt Display is just HD?

The standard iMac has the same resolution as the TBD.  Only the retina iMac is sharper, but can be difficult to tell the difference on most of the images.  You can get the exact specs on Apple's site.
