Photosmart 8750

Hello

I have the Photosmart 8750 and I'm in the army. I bought the printer to the base Exchange. When the necessary printer ink base was not for my printer. I'm stationed in Germany for the short exchange of stuff fast enough. I went into town and found a store that sells HP products and the rep at the store understood what my required printer. I bought cartridges and taken home and installed them and they worked as the cartridges supplied with the printer. Later in the year, I need cartridges this time that the base has them. I have bought and taken home and installed the but now the printer says they aren't valid cartridges. A store in rep (Exchange) HP told me the reason was I used cartridges that I received from a German store. How can I fix this problem so I am able to use the cartridges I got the Base Exchange. I have been deployed or I'd do this 9 months ago. Or am I stuck with a brick of $450.00. Anyone who has been stationed abroad knows how sometimes it can be difficult when you need something and you are forced to go on the local economy to find.

Thank you

Thanks for the update on the support of Mac.  Wasn't the case a few years before, when I was involved with the issues of regionalization.

Kind regards

  • HP Photosmart 8750: HP printer Photosmart 8750 updated the drivers/software

I bought a HP Photosmart 8750 printer when I was running Windows98 and never installed it.  Since that time, we have a computer that is running Windows Vista Edition Home Premium (32 bit) and a laptop under Windows 10 Home (64-bit).  Recently I tried to install the printer on the two systems only to find out that HP has stopped support for it.  Can someone help me find updated drivers/software or am I have to switch the printer during a yard sale?

    Thank you for your time.

    Hello @GMan46,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you are trying to install your HP Photosmart 8750 on your computers running Windows Vista and 10 operating system.

Because it is an older model of printer, you will need to install the software that you are using the driver integrated in Windows. This is not guaranteed, but may work for you.

Start here: installation and using the built-in Windows print driver

  • Photosmart 8750: pilot built-in printer in win 8.1 64 bit does not

    Hello

My photosmart 8750 printer, which is a great printer and still works fine, at least with my old laptop that runs windows xp not... Unfortunately with the built-in windows 8.1 HP printer driver (64-bit) does not at all.

What's the case up to now, first time connected, the printer is recognized by windows 8.1 and the driver is installed automatically, if a printer test page send it prints normally. But it is she, anything else, pdf, word doc or an image will not print!

The printer responds to a print command, to start something that looks like it's going to print, but after a few seconds it stops and nothing happens after that, if I look in the dialog box where the docs are normally listed as they wait to be printed there, I'veallready restarted the service of spool printing, but that has not worked... also reinstalled the printer some times , but that did not help...

My perception now is that the driver for win 8.1 is the problem, because the printer works fine with the original HP driver on my laptop to win XP.

If all goes well, there is a work around for this problem...

Thanks in advance for any help!

  • HP Photosmart 8750: Deteriorated HP Photosmart 8750 support?

I use a HP Photosmart 8750 to print both color and black & white photographs.  By various sources, including HP (for example, http://www.letsgodigital.org/en/news/articles/story_3703.html) the best collection of ink to this end is 97, 101 and 102, which gives a system of "9 - ink".  Cartridges, 101 and 102 no longer seem to be available through HP.  A scheme of substitute using cartridges currently being advertised at http://store.hp.com is 96, 97 and 99.  By HP, this yeilds a '8 inks system' which results lower than the 9-ink system.  You find this is the case?  The Internet also contains scattered observations that the 96 cartridge is not suitable for use with the glossy photo paper because ink bleed.  True?

    In summary:

    1. the ink cartridges 101 and 102 permenantly abandoned?

    2. is the quality of the photos printed with 8 inks system lower than the 9-ink system (including black & white prints)?

    3. making prints with smear cartridge 96?

    4. If the answer to (2) or (3) above is 'yes', HP please consider reversing his decision to demote his support for the HP Photosmart 8750 printer?

I hope that you do not find this post a simple duplication of others.  Other posts seem to ask most of these questions, but not directly respond.

I can't say with certainty what will be the Linux driver.  The Apple and Windows driver turns off the black cartridge 96.  The 101 cartridge wouldn't be helpful to print B & W prints.  Using the cartridge 99 would give better black areas in photo.  The lighter grey areas would be probably made go magenta cyan and light ink light cartridge 99 in most of the 97 cartridge yellow.

The HP 100 gray photo cartridge is a reduced version of the 102 (15ml of ink to the 100 HP vs 23ml in the 102 HP) and would work in your Photosmart 8750.  It may still be available at HP, it is still listed on the site HP SureSupply , well as "out of stock".  If this isn't the case, HP, it may be possible to find some other suppliers.  (I checked staples and OfficeMax, both were out of stock).

The Photosmart 8750 is beyond the official support, and most of the documents have been removed from the HP site.  I don't have to find the manual to the user on the site of HP here (recommend registering before he goes) and it lists the optimal configurations of cartridge on page 13:

My Netgear WNDR3300 router seems to block my ethernet connected the HP Photosmart 8750 printer. The printer does not appear in the list of the router of connected devices and network printing shows that the network status is offline.

Also, I checked the cable and tried to use a different port on the router; no change.

    Found the problem...

  • Photosmart 8750 and IMAC

I have a Photosmart 8750, which works very well with my windows laptop but when you print with IMAC using the latest version of Safari colors are all faded, the greys are orange etc..

If print text in red, blue, green and yellow, the impression is very good. I cleaned the print heads, removed the printer and reinstalled but still not good.

    Any thoughts?

No, I did what you suggested, but this has not resolved the problem unfortunately.

I also have a HP Envy 120th and I can get pictures of very good quality of this print from iPhoto. But with the 8750 I get always the washed colors when you use the HP Photo paper, but oddly enough, the colors are OK when printing on plain paper. Enigma for me - any other thoughts?

Hi mdjec00, welcome to the forums there.

I saw your post on your printer has demonstrated that it is in offline mode on your Macbook, running the Mavericks. I would say after the steps in the guide below.

"The printer is offline" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Mac OS X

  • Professional printer Photosmart 8750

How can I correct when printing the page to print on larger paper such as the size of the border 13 x 19 is not straight but is tilted vertically to the right of top down and the cradle is stuck?  I tried to troubleshote the convenience of color calibration and alignment, but the did not help me fix this printing error.

    Thank you

    Smoothery

There are two possible problems, I'll start with the most likely:

If the coding Strip has become foggy with spray of ink then printing can move to the side and eventually cause a stall of transport message.  In this case, you can gently clean the Strip coding as described in the post here.  Don't forget to heed the warnings, the Strip is fragile and can be damaged by rough handling.

The other possibility is that the media feeds with a chisel.  In this case rolls of cleaning as described in the solution of the here document four can help solve the problem.

The can also help document here.

  • HP 8750 leaves streaks each 3 inches

    Hello

I have a HP Photosmart 8750 large-format printer that I had problems with during some time now.  When I print anything, regardless of the size, colour/black & white, or the type of paper the printer leaves streaks every 3 inches.  These trails are the paper outside sources in a horizontal direction.  I have attached a few photos so that you can see the results.  The first is a 12 x 12 inch (cut when I scanned a bit) image and the second is a 8.5 "x 11" text document where you see streaks on the lines that begin with 'any color... ' and 'coat of paint... ". "I installed the printer on a PC and a Mac and it does the same thing, so I'm sure this isn't a driver problem.  Does anyone have any ideas as to what is happening?  I'm at a point where I think I'm throwing the printer, but would like to know if there is some kind of fix for this.

Thanks a lot for any assistance!

    Elke-

The cause is easy to describe, but may be difficult to solve.  There is a circular encoder disc that tracks where the book is such that it is powered by the roll.  This encoder must have an ink or similar task which is causing a "bunp" every revolution.  (Depending on the size of the main rollers 3 "spacing would be a revolution).

The solution is a little more difficult, and I have never had to do that so much of what follows is speculation.  You need carefully clean the disk encoder with flat water and perhaps a q-tip or a similar flexible element.  Cleaning precautions are similar to the band of coding of cleaning as described here, except the encoder disc is harder to do :-).  Now the hard part: the disk encoder is relatively well protected.  It is at the end of the roll bar on the left side of the printer.  I never disassemble this model so I won't be much help. Please take a look and see if you can understand something, post here and I can take mine on his perch and preview detailed.

Be careful when the unit of failover on the side or upside down, depends on the use that the printer had that may cause ink to overflow area service station on the right side.

  • Do not print color

Photosmart 8750, replaced ink, made of the alignment and clean printer heads.  When you print the test page all the perfect printing ink cartridges.

When I go to print my photos that they print in a dark black and white, absolutely no color.  I have used this printer for 6 years had never had a problems. What can I do to solve my problem.

    Thank you for an overview

    Hello z8,

    Welcome to the HP Forums.

I see you have some print quality problems when trying to print photos.

I have a few steps we can try to solve this problem.

First of all, please make sure that you have the printer power cable connected directly to a wall outlet and not a bar/power strip. Here is a document that uses a LaserJet printer for example, but it is intended for HP products in general. Please click the link which explains the problems when connected to an uninterruptible power supply/Strip/surge protector power.

The document that I add will address many different steps of troubleshooting on colors wrong.  On the bottom of the page, you will see a link to additional troubleshooting necessary follow-up.

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions, please click here: click here.

  • Not printing from Lightroom 4

Installed Lightroom 4 but can't print with my HP Photosmart 8750 printer. All the drivers confirm correct for Windows 7 by HP diagnostic software. By clicking on print HP printer takes life as if it to load paper, he then pauses about a minute before switching to standby mode. The file to print appears in Print Manager as if it is printing. When the printer returns to stanby file is removed from the Print Manager as if it was printed. Printer works fine with all other packed with 10 items. Spent two hours on the line last night with Adobe support assistant, but he was unable to solve the problem. Any ideas?

Problem solved. Catalogue Lightroom was not on the C: drive, but on the external drive. Default catalog created on C: then used catalog - File - import to copy the catalog of my external hard drive on the C: drive. Everything works now. Pictures still on the external hard drive.
