Photosmart C309g prevents my Win 7 64-bit pc boot to the top

I've had the Photosmart C309g all-in-one for a couple of years now. I had it working fine on Win XP 32-bit and recently upgraded to level to Win 7 64 bit. Since then, the computer and the printer place nice with them.

I have installed the drivers for Win 7 64 bit C309g and followed all the steps to the letter. The C309g works great after driver installed in the same session of the computer. But once I restart my computer, somehow the C309g prevents my pc boot when USB cable is plugged in, it won't get past the BIOS. I just get a black screen with a blinking cursor. This display remains until I stopped him. Still, this happens only when I plugged the C309g USB cable. Once I have unplug it from the computer, it starts very well.

I tried to disable the settings bluetooth and wifi without result. The BIOS has no active USB startup options, and I even tried to reset the BIOS default settings to ensure.

Has anyone encountered this problem? If so, how can I solve? Thanks in advance.

If you do not use a USB keyboard, you can try to disable USB Legacy Mode.

You can also see the updates to the BIOS on the Intelsite.

mrsjeffyg, I recommend that you completely uninstall the printer from the computer. Make sure that all copies of the printer and the associated files are removed from programs and features, the Manager of devices, and the devices and printers. If you are connected with a USB cable, make sure that the cable is removed from the printer for the duration of the present.

Click START and type "%temp%" and press ENTER. This will open the temporary folder, and I want that you delete all the files that you can here. Some will not be able to be deleted, so ignore these files.

    Restart your computer.

Follow this link here and reinstall it from the Full_Feature Driver and software.

  • Replace with Win 7 32 bit XP Mode using the oem license key?

We have some old software that requires a 32 bit OS.  There is no way around that it will never support 64 bit, but must use it occasionally.

Currently, we run with XP Mode installed Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.  As Microsoft ends support XP on April 8, 2014, we want to move a virtual machine to Windows 7 32 bit.

Is it acceptable to use the same license key OEM on the bottom of the laptop to install Windows 7 32 - bit in Virtual PC instead of the XP Mode or do we need to buy more licenses of Windows 7?

Windows Virtual PC can be used independently of Windows XP Mode, but as noted, if you use another version of Windows such as Windows 7 32 bit, you will need to purchase an additional license. The license at the bottom of your laptop is already linked to the host machine on which it is installed.

  • NB550D - best way to install Win 7 64-bit and 64-bit drivers

    Hello

I improved my NB550D to Windows7 Home Premium and installed 4 GB of RAM.
This works much better, but want to go further and make a Windows7 Ultimate _64bit_ _clean install_ in order to take full advantage of theupgrade in RAM.

My question is: what should I do about the Toshiba drivers for 64-bit? I guess I'm going to need some?

What is the best way to go about the upgrade - any help will be appreciated! : D

If you need to switch to Win 7 64 bit, then you need some Win 7 64 bit drivers.
On the European driver Toshiba page, I could find some 64-bit drivers, but it seems that not all Toshiba for Win 7 64-bit tools are released.

Drivers for WLan or BT stack can be found here:
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/WLAN/
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/Bluetooth/

Other drivers or Toshiba tools such as value added package or Face Recognition, Eco utility and others could be used with other series of portable for example by Satellite C660D or others such as L750D, L755D or C670D
Surely you must pay attention to the integrated graphics chip, the LAN or the chipset
Use the drivers that are released for fleas in NB550D

  • Win 7 64 bit has been preinsatlled but I only Win 7 32 bit recovery disc

    Hello guys,.

    OK here is the story:

My toshiba laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Pre 64 bit. This laptop has 4 GB of memory, so it needs 64-bit to use all 4 GB. Today, Toshiba only provided me with a 32-bit rescue disk that installs the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7 Home pre. Stupid huh?

Today, Toshiba, with an attatude of a 13-year-old told me, we will not provide you with a record of 64-bit, we don't have to do it legally. Telephone Microsoft if you think we are braking the law.

So im guessing they thought I wouldn't, well I did :)
Here are the highlights of what Microsoft has said,
Toshiba using our Direct OEM license and there to provide end users with support to restore the system operating at the same version that preinstalled. Thanks to Windows 7 OEM 32-bit and 64-bit OEM support options they should be you offering two options. However, they are only legally to provide 64-bit because it is pre-installed.

I explained to him that Toshiba refused to provide me with the media and said to themselves, they then trasnfered me the string (basiclly I talked to 4 people) I got threw to the UK head office which is now dealing with my case. They turned round and said that Toshiba are just being clumsy in the fact that they said that they are not breaking the law and to contact Microsoft becauseinfact, they are in violation of the license OEM Direct from Microsoft and Toshiba betwean.

    So what is happening now?
Well Microsoft will now contact Toshiba about this, Director at Headquarters is going to try to get her ANDS on a copy of the OEM disc for me, if it is unable to do, so she'll contact Toshiba and tell them that they must give me with her. They will also investigate Toshiba on this beach.

    So my question to Toshiba,
Why when I called today your sure support decided to take a bad tone of voice, raise your voice and try to argue with me when I was polite and calm with him?
Why when Microsoft told me that you were in violation of license you said that I was not faithful?

As I rip this message Microsoft Head office phoned me, they called Toshiba, Toshiba said Microsoft, they are not in violation of license due to Toshiba which allows users 'Software' to create their own media, Microsoft disagreed with them because of the license indicating to provide to the user the media not a metod to create the media and handed the case to the Legal Department here and Microsoft are now send me one commercial version of Microsoft Home Premium 64-bit for free myself.

Anyway, if a member of the staff may answer my two questions above, I would be grateful.

    Thank you

    > My computer toshiba laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Pre 64 bit. This laptop has 4 GB of memory, so it needs 64-bit to use all 4 GB. Today, Toshiba only provided me with a 32-bit rescue disk that installs the 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows 7 Home pre. Stupid huh?

First of all, I guess you don t know that it is a forum for user to user... here in the forum you can get a recommendation of the users regular laptops like you and me ;)

Second, you can find the info in the user manual which was preinstalled on your laptop, which a tool called Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator has been pre-installed that allows you to create recovery disk for Win 7 64 bit and this is the reason why the 64-bit recovery disc has not provided with the laptop.

Like many, I know this is a common process and my Satellite U400 has not provided with the drive too because I could use the Toshiba recovery disc creator to create the recovery disk.

I think that it's my personal opinion, Toshiba and Microsoft are business partner and they know exactly the own enterprise.

  • Need drivers for Win XP 64 - bit - Satellite A300D-15B

    Hello

I recently bought a ' Satellite A300D-15B "it came with Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

I want to install XP 64-bit. The driver page have drivers for XP, but it does not specify this time are these drivers for XP 32 - bit or 64-Bit XP.

Can come a confirm which edition is for drivers are?

    Thanking you,

    Ganesh

    Hello

There's no drivers 64-bit of Windows XP and I think it won't be available on the Toshiba driver page. Why?
There are a few reasons for this.

First of all the Vista is the disciple of Win XP and only Vista 64-bit drivers are designed for new laptops and computer equipment.

Second, really unique operating system Win XP 64-bit. It was not so popular like Win XP 32 bit and most of the applications and software are not compatible with the XP 64 bit OS.

I put t know many people who would like to use the 64-bit XP and maybe this is the main reason why 64-bit XP drivers are rare.

I think that if you want to use this OS on this laptop, then you have to collect drivers 64-bit XP to your own hand.

    Good luck

  • Satellite P300 - cannot find drivers for Win 7 32 bit

I have the Toshiba Win7 install discs, but I have 2 questions.

1: I installed the 32-bit version, but I can't find the 32-bit drivers (reinstalled). The Australian Toshiba site is the only one that recognizes my model (PSPCCA OC201Y), but it offers only drivers for win7 64 bit.

2: I'd really rather do a clean install of the 64-bit system (the disk too) but it seems no way to do. In an upgrade, it offers the possibility, in a clean installation, it doesn't.

You need a Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit system disk. I doubt that Microsoft Win 7 32 bit disk also contains the 64-bit version.

  • Satellite Pro L550 - 17U PSLW9E - question of the HARD Win 7 64 bit disk recovery

    Hello

Basically, when I got the laptop it had Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit installed.
I created the backup disks, as asked it the first got scratched and gets stuck on the installation, I can install the 32-bit version (the CD it came with) and I tried to create a new 32-bit system recovery disk but it creates just a 32 bit recovery disc (which I already had the appropriate drive).

Just to see if there is a way to restore the 64-bit system without having to buy a new version of windows?

    Satellite Pro L550-17U
    Part number: PSLW9E-01500MEN
    Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit authentic (pre-installed, Toshiba-HDD recovery) and
    Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 32-bit (Toshiba-Recovery DVD)

    Hello

You reinstalled the operating system using the Toshiba Recovery disk which contained the Win 7 32-bit operating system. The recovery of 32 bit Win7 has formatted the whole HARD disk and has deleted all partitions (recovery partition HARD drive containing too many Win 7 64 bit OS)! and replaced with Win 7 32 bit.
This means that Win 7 64 bit is no longer available on the HARD disk.

In my opinion, there is nothing to do you will need to order new Win 7 64 bit recovery disc.

    Welcome them

  • Creation of recovery Win 7 64 bit for Satellite L500-19 x disc?

    My new Satellite L500 - 19 X came pre-installed with Win 7-64 bit version.
Also includes a "product recovery Win 7 32 bit" disc

Inside of the package a brochure said:

"If you plan to use 64-bit at a later stage, please create a _recovery medium_ before installing Windows 7 32 bit"

He then warns me to create a "medium recovery 64-bit... you are ordering that 64-bit recovery media is not free."

The manual goes long on "_System Recovery Options" as stated in the manual I did a "Windows 7 64 bit repair disc" can I say that I don't have or can't have a real Win 7 64 bit disc?

The brochure says "a backup copy (file Win 7 64-bit) is stored on the hard drive as a _recovery image_" so is this the real Win 7 64 bit full disk that I'm after, and if so how do I get it?

Toshiba documentation is not clear, and I think rather contradicts itself?

I'm confused! Someone at - he understands what's going on?

    JohnF.

    Hello

If I understand correctly, you have received the laptop pre-installed with Win 7 64 bit OS.
But you didn t get the drive recovery Win 7 64 bit, but you have a Win 7 32 bit recovery disc. Is this good?

Matt good the case is that the use of the recovery disk will format the entire HARD drive and will erase everything from the HARD drive. This means that you will lose the Win 7 64 bit OS preinstalled.
So if you would not create the recovery disk Win 7 64 bit before using the Win 7 32 bit recovery disc, then you will not be able to go back to the 64-bit version.

Therefore, create the Win 7 64 bit recovery disc at the beginning. So you are safe and can install Win 32-bit and 64-bit when you want.
