Photosmart C5180 duplexer installed Q5582 cannot select the automatic mode

I recently installed a duplexer Q5582A on my Photosmart C5180. Tried to select Auto Duplex but only manual available.

  • Windows 7
  • updated printer driver
  • Under printer properties, device settings, options installation, no fall to the bottom/duplex available to choose from.

Any help is appreciated.

Hello

The C5180 provides all the features of automatic duplex printing, part Q5582A is only for templates that are specific, not including the C5180 model.

I'm afraid that such a device is not supported by the software or firmware of the printer

You can find any part available for the C5180 listed below:

Thank you, Sean. I found out what I needed to know to fix the DIF from a document from hp customer service. Then I desconnected the cable from the computer, wait 5 seconds and plugged.

I managed to get past the first steps by using the 'tab' key (keyboard) to make selections and 'space' to make the confirmations. However, arriving at step 'select the disk where you want to install Mac OS', the 'Tab' and 'Space' technical has stopped working. Now I'm stuck here. Thanks for any information, that everyone has.

    Hello

It seems to be a virus called protectfile.vbs or autorun.inf.

Follow the steps below to remove this virus from your computer.

    MoveOnBoot open

Go to rename Action-> rename file

A dialog box opens, select the file. Because these files are hidden files, you will not be able to travel and see. Please enter

Enter "C:\protectfile.vbs" in the section of the file selection.
Enter "C:\protectfile.html" in the section of the destination file. Enter OK.

Similarly, repeat steps 2 through 4 for the file 'C:\autorun.inf' and rename the in 'C:\autorun.html '.

Do not restart your computer. We have implemented moveonboot to rename the .vbs ProtectFile in only one of the disks.

Repeat step 2 to 5 for each disk. For example, if you have 4 drives on your computer (C, D, E, F), then you will have to rename '.vbs C:\protectfile', 'D:\protectfile.vbs', 'E:\protectfile.vbs' and '.vbs F:\protectfile' 'C:\protectfile.html', 'D:\protectfile.html', 'E:\protectfile.html' and 'F:\protectfile.html' respectively.

Even renaming file "autorun.inf" in all readers for the corresponding ' autorun.html' files.

Restart your computer. We have disabled the virus.

Now we will remove it completely.

    Reopen MoveOnBoot.

Go to delete Actions-> delete the files

You will not be able to browse and reach the files. Then click Browse and enter 'C:\protectfile.html', 'D:\protectfile.html', 'E:\protectfile.html', 'F:\protectfile.html', 'C:\autorun.html', 'D:\autorun.html', 'E:\autorun.html' and 'F:\autorun.html '.

    Restart your computer.

The steps above should solve the problem for you.

I can't install XP on a computer with a new hard drive. I can only find XP Home Upgrade and 95 upgrade to use CD. I can boot from the XP CD, and he comes to the point where there is no previous version, so he asks to have a previous version in that CD set. I do and it goes to another screen where it shows a number of hard drives and asks where to install it by selecting it with the arrow keys. Hello

For a new hard drive, primary installation can be done with the Windows XP Home Upgrade or the Windows 95 upgrade CD.
You must have Windows XP Edition family full version for installation. You can also contact the manufacturer of the computer for better assistance.

I tried deleting the contents of the temp folder, but it did not help. I await your response. Thank you in advance.

    Hi NedimMrkaljevic,

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Try running disk clean up and remove unwanted system files and folders. Through disk cleanup, you can delete all the temporary files and folders that are not needed on your computer.

    a. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button picture of the Start button, tap all programs, accessories, click System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

    b. in the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean your own files only or all files on the computer. Need administrator permission if you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    c. If the disk cleanup: drive selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk you want to clean and then click OK.

    d. click the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for files that you want to remove.

    e. When you are finished selecting the files you want to delete, click OK and then click on delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup on delete all unnecessary files from your computer.

  • Windows 7 will not install, it cannot find the drivers

I have a Dell Dimension XPS Gen 2. I am trying to install Windows 7 Home Premium on a new SATA drive. Before installing, I formatted the hard disk by using Windows XP (running on another HDD SATA). The two SATA drives are connected directly to the motherboard.

I install from a flash drive, for reasons I will explain below. The installer comes to the point where it asks if you want to perform a custom installation or upgrade. I select custom installation, and the next screen says it can't find drivers and guests to find the drivers. Because I can't provide the necessary drivers, the installation does not further.

I could copy the drivers to the flash drive, if I knew what files they were. The drivers from the site Web of Dell's downloadable apparently only as a .exe file that you run to install drivers, in order to get the individual driver files is problematic.

Previously, I tried to install Windows 7 from the original XP disc. This is 'successful', apparently because it finds the drivers what he needed on the XP disc. But then I couldn't boot Win7 except the XP disc was running. On this basis, I suppose that the pilots were located on the XP disc but not copied on the Win7 disk during installation, so that if I try to boot from the Windows 7 disc and the XP disk was not running, Win7 can not find the drivers and does not start.

That's why I tried to install from the flash drive... so the new facility would be not dependent on disk XP to start. But now, as I say, the Windows 7 install program stalls at the prompt for drivers.

You can use some advice. Thank you.

Downloaded an older version of the Win 7/Vistadrivers and it seems stable so far.
