Photosmart wireless b109n: windows 10

Upgrade to Windows 10 and the printer did not work at all.  Old facility and the latest version of the software installed removed HP site.  Printer now works partially, but what I'm left with is an interesting mix.

It will display the test pages and documents stored on a drive.

But:

  • It will not print from a Chrome browser that the print dialog appears but nothing happens, not even a listing in the print queue.
  • However, if I save the document on my hard drive, then open this document in adobe say it prints perfectly.
  • I have also an Epson printer that works very well and does not show these symptoms, so it doesn't seem to be a generic problem of 10/Chrome Win.
  • The HP Solution Center does not work. She shows the printer and ink levels but always says that the printer is disconnected and therefore won't do anything useful, such as scanning.

Anyone any ideas?

Thank you in advance.

John

Welcome to the community-HP John, alias @JohnMid,

I saw your post how you updated for Windows 10 and now have problems with printing of Chrome, sweeping and Solution Center does not. I have in mind for you to try a more "in-depth" uninstall, which will completely delete all the files on your computer printer, then restart the PC and reinstall fresh complete driver on your system. I hope that these steps will solve your concerns.

Click on this link and follow the steps for level 3 uninstall the colleague: Re: HP Photosmart C7280 does not print error message: printer is in an error state

After the uninstall and the computer has restarted, run the HP printer install wizard for Windows,to find and install the printer and the software for you again.

Now try printing of Chrome, opening the print and attempt at analysis software!

Best wishes to you. I hope that I have led you in the right direction!

The CD/DVD software will not work with newer versions of Mac OS X. HP doesn't have the drivers for this printer in Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. The last driver out of this printer is for Mac OS X 10.6. The only driver available that uses the driver update from Apple. This causes a problem when reconfigure the wireless, as this is the software for help. It would be easier if you have another computer running an operating system that is supported so that you can install the full feature software to configure the wireless.

As an alternative method, you can try doing as a guideline to connect the wireless printer. We will use the ad-hoc connection. With the ad-hoc connection, you can launch the built-in web server (EWS) to access the wireless configuration wizard.

Use the following steps as a guide:
Restore the default settings of the network:

    1. Press the button next to the wireless Menu.
    2. Press the button next to wireless settings.
    3. Press the button next to network by default.

Once the network is reset, the printer should disseminate the ad hoc connection. It should look like "hpsetup" or "HP Setup (and part of the printer name or MAC address). With an IP address like 169.82.12.44.

Then, connect to the network printer, that is broadcasting.

    1. On the Mac in the upper right corner, click on the wireless icon and connect to the network "HP Setup" or "hpsetup".

    Print the wireless test report:

    1. Press the button next to Scan.
    2. Press the button next to the wireless Menu.
    3. Press the button next to wireless settings.
    4. Press the button next to run the wireless network Test.

Browse the test report wireless IPV4 of the printer (IP address) 169.82.12.44.

    1. Launch your internet browser and enter the IP as shown. This should load the printer EWS.
    2. Click on the tab network across the top.
    3. On the left side, click on wireless or network.
    4. Run the Wireless Setup Wizard.

This is the only way to reconfigure the wireless, unless you have another computer that has supported the software.

For more information on the ad-hoc connection, see the User Guide.

    Hi there @robhoe

    Welcome to the community

It sounds to me like driver installation has not filled completely and correctly on your system Windows 8.1, which could be the reason why you do not have the scanning features in the software.

Please make sure you that the printer will make copies before make you any software troubleshooting, as if there is a problem copying (printer hardware problem), the installation will most likely never complete successfully.

I know you tried a scrubber, and that's what I would try again to remove completely all the components of your PC printers and then reinstall them later. If you want to give a shot of this, I'll post all the steps below for you to try!

1 run this cleaner tool to remove the printer files. Use only an uninstall of level 3.

HP Officejet software and driver removal utility

    2. restart the computer entirely to complete uninstallation.

    3. download and run the installation of your PS B109: HP Photosmart Wireless all-in-One Printer series - B109 Full Feature Software and Driver

I hope this works, good luck!

  • Desktop computer connected via a cable to a wireless router - can't print on Photosmart Wireless B109n-z

    Hello

I have my desktop (Windows XP) connected via a cable to a LinkSys WRT54GC wireless router and wireless HP Photosmart B109n-z connected wireless. I can 'see' desktop printer if I write the IP address of the printer in the browser, but printing does not work.

I don't know how to set up the printer to print from this desktop computer. What I choose when installing printer drivers (printing via USB or wireless?). I tried manually installing printer but without success. Do I have to set up specific ports?

Printing from laptop (connected wireless to the router) works perfectly.

Thank you in advance for your answer, I'm really lost on this one.

Choose print wireless while installing the software.  Because the printer is connected to your router, you don't need to go through «setup USB wireless»

I'll try to manually add again in this way:

Verify that you can access the web page internal to the printer by its IP address.

    1. click on the 'Start' button--> printers and fax machines.
    2. under print jobs, click on "add a printer".
    3. click on 'Next' on the Add Printer Wizard window.
    4. Select "local printer attached to this computer. Deselect "automatically detect and install my Plug and play printer." Click "next".
5 under, select a Printer Port option, select "Create a new port" and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port" and click "Next".
    6. in the "Welcome to the Add Standard TCP/IP printer port Wizard" make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to the same network that your computer is connected to. click on the button "next".
    7. under "Add Standard TCP/IP Printer Port" enter the IP address of the printer. Click 'Next' and then click 'Finish '.
    8. now select HP in the manufacturers list, select your printer in the list of the models of printers and click the button "next".
    9. If you can't find your printer, you will need to find the installation CD and use the 'Disc' option to select one of the files hp*.ini. You can also select another model of the same type HP printer.
    10. Add the name of print spooler, and then click "next".
    11. click on "next".
    12. click on "Next" and "Finish."

  • Photosmart wireless B109n-z showing "ink cartridges above appear to be missing or damaged.

Hello, I have a problem with my photosmart printer (wirelless B109n-z) now (on Windows 7) and I could do with some advice. He started by printing not really properly-there were only a few extremely weak lines, so I opened the lid and makes sure that the ink cartridges were properly-they came out and put in the new - but then the error message came that the cyan ink cartridge is missing or damaged. As it was low on ink anyway I replaced it with a new one but the message was still there. I went through all the steps on the site of HP to address the problem, but it is always the same and have never used a not genuine HP ink cartridge. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Jen

If you did not start the steps in this document it.   In step four parts 11 and 12, there are four fingers touch by cartridge.  Make sure that none of these electrical contacts are misaligned, if we're folded its place gently back in its place.  (Compare contacts faulty cyan with those on the cartridges adjacent as described in this post.)

  • Cannot print from MAC on Photosmart Wireless B109n

    Hello

I'm struglling with my new B109n-f printer to print wireless configuration.

I have it set and the wireless network test report give it one of good health (pass on all points).  In addition, I am able to print wireless from my windows XP PC laptop.

I am struggling with the installation on my OS Leopard 10.5.8, Macbook Pro.  I followed all the steps and when I come to add the printer in the press, and fax settings I see his IP address field and select it.

He responds by saying: it is a valid address and complete.

There is a field for the "tail" but it's empty, and he says: 'leave blank for default queue. "

No drop-down options menu will appear.

When I close these preferences and return to the Setup dialog and click on continue he informs me that I did not create a print queue.  He advises me to come back and repeat the steps (that is to say delete the printer and add it back in print and fax the same settings if there is no additional box for the print queue.

I tried to add the printer LPD and IPP (the instructions don't say which is correct but niehter seems to work).

If I complete the installation by ignoring the message from the queue to print the printer appears in the list of printers (such as its IP address).  If I select this printer and try them and print them, I get the printer HP dialog box that bounces on my toolbar with an alert.

When you click on it tells me that host 192.168.0.105 network is busy and retries it in XX seconds.

    Can you help me?

    Thank you very much

    Rob (London)

Found the problem.  It should be set to the option of HP Jetdirect and LPD not or IPP printing.

It would be useful if it was in the manual.

Hope this is useful to someone else who has a similar problem.

  • Photosmart Wireless B109n: Connection printer new source of wireless B109n

I recently changed provider router and wifi, but it is impossible to get my printer connect the new wi - fi router and allow wireless printing.  So far I have tried the following:

-All off switching several times and they are restarted in the sequence specified by HP (router, printer, computer)

-uninstalled and reinstalled the correct HP software via download on the HP site

-a spent more than an hour with a guy from support from Apple, but we couldn't do the recosnise of the computer the printer

-went bought a CD player, home, uninstalled the HP software and reinstalled from the disk provided with the printer

    -assemble the complete set

-been able to print using a cable

However, I am still unable to connect to the printer and print using wifi.  When I run the wireless network test he told me that the name of the network went from the old router to "hpsetup".

I can't work out where to enter new information - network name, password etc. - in the installation program or on the printer.  I tried several times to enable the router to allow a device to join the network while pressing the push button on the WEP option.  When I try to use the option to PIN the printer immediately show the pin code of the old wifi network and is still unable to join the new network.

    Hello

Generally no full software functionality is available for your printer for later versions of OS, which means no solution to connect the pritner is offered.

You can use another computer for example, Windows PC or n older version of OS X to connect to the printer.

If your router supports WPS method, connect the printer using WPS listed on page 5 of the manual below:
    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c01894737

OtherwiseI can offer the following workaround solution to overcome such a manually:

    1. Make sure that the printer's wireless radio is turned on.
    2. Click the WiFi on your Mac and join the HPSETUP network.
    3. If such a not listed, click on join another network, and then click networks sow and connect to HPSetup.
    4. Open Safari.
    5. Click Safari > Preferences and open the Advanced tab, check both the Hello checkbox on this screen, and then click OK.
    6. In the bookmarks menu, select Hello > printers and click the name of your printer.
    7. Open the network tab or wireless in the wireless Section looking for wireless or Wireless Assistant and follow this screen to connect the printer to your router.
    8. Once done, plug the Mac to your home network and add the printer as in Printers & Scanners.

    Hope that helps,

  • Photosmart Wireless B109n-z detects not router

I've recently updated my OS to windows 7 on my laptop. I reinstalled the sfotware in the printer from the CD and run the wizard to set up as a wireless printer. It connects very well with a USB connection, but it errors when it tries to connect by using the wireless network. It is said that it can not detect my router, check my SSID is correct, etc. That all looks fine.

My router is a Linksys Wireless - N ADSL2 + Gateway. My laptop is connected to this wireless OK.

    What I tried:

Reinstall the printer s/w on the CD, same error.

Change my Norton Firewall settings on all HP programs run automatically.

If there is anything else that I could try, I would be grateful. The printer is brand new. I think that it is as a result of the upgrade to Windows 7 because I'm sure it worked wireless before that.

    Many thanks in advance,

    P

Sorry to hear that none of the steps has helped solve this problem.

Most likely the print head needs to be replaced, but no guarantee that will fix this problem either.

I just bought a Photosmart all-in-one wireless B109n. implementation proceeded without problems (including printing test photo).

Strange thing is that when I take one of 4 cartridges, it says that one is missing. After you have added the last of them, he says that none of them are detected.

Also, I need to re - enter the language and area whenever I turn it on. As if it's reset instead of make a cut...

Back to the store where I got it.

    The new works very well
