PHP content migration to 5.5 DW

I have a new customer if I can re - open their site before June 1.

I have a zip file of the old site content to fill a new site of DW. The old site was created in PhP with behaviors apparent server-side. My client old webmaster is now in jail, and accommodation of the renewal fees, etc. are due June 1. I get the account if I can 'get it up' at that time.

I set up the folder root on my laptop and created a new site for the account name.

I filled the root with the old content and everything is copasetic.

I get an error message when you open the index file asking to implement tests of servers because I do not have information hosting. I did a PhP site before. I installed XAMPP on the laptop and got a good to go for the Assembly of the part.

I get the error messages to start Apache and MySQL start in newspapers.

I have XAMPP files in a separate folder in the files of the site, but in the same root folder.

Any thoughts on why I'm running so that the server programs installed correctly (and opened with the appropriate administrative rights), but I'm getting aborted stops?

I'm tired and fried. I am posting this on tonight, so, maybe, my brain will allow me to get a few hours sleep.

I really hope someone (s) may put a few tricks, tips and links to give me a new look in the morning.

You or your customer have access to the computer files and the work of the former developer - in particular, its local test server MySQL database records? Remember that these are usually protected by Word. Access to records by logging into phpMyAdmin of its server.

Failing this, the site must be rebuilt from scratch. I fear 5 days is not nearly enough time, especially since you've never built a dynamic website before. You might be able to hit a temporary static site until you can get the rebuilt dynamic site.

This problem occurs only for the upgrade of VMware 8 and only when the script runs in the shared folders, I strongly suspect that it is a problem within the VMware stack.

If you use the kernel of an open-vm-tools HGFS customer then yes there are bugs because the version provided with that was broken and not tested. People has not listened to my complaints about it.

Current recommended approach is to always use the installation of VMware tools for the shared folders feature.

Open-vm-tools are used to install tools user mode only. We try to make all of the features available with these, including a file sharing client FUSE based. Version 10 of the open-vm-tools will have this.

Stick with VMware tools install for now for file sharing.

Treatment is stalled at 96% for the past hour -Clearing cache, or exit the browser does not work. Same experience in all browsers. Although it is possible to erase, remove a successful migration, there is no possibility to cancel a migration.
I'm unable to migrate additional content until the treatment is finished.

The problem is that the 'password is incorrect' after using Windows 7 Easy Transfer.

I've already studied this problem on the Internet and in online forums. A lot of people seems to have the same question/problem/question. Noone has a solution. Several members of the staff of Microsoft technical support provided responses which do not solve the problem, explain what is happening, or were intended to solve the problem of evil. For example, many responses were that political Microsoft does not provide assistance when retrieving passwords. OK, but this isn't what is asked for. There is a problem and it would be good if someone has recognized that there is a problem and - at least - it is being researched if there is not already a solution. Anyway, as many have already asked, here is my point of view trying to find a solution to this problem:

Used Windows 7 Easy Transfer to move user accounts and files between an old 32 bit Vista PC to a new PC 64 bit Windows 7. The transfer was made on a network without using an easy transfer cable. There is no errors during the transfer and user accounts on PC Windows 7 seem to be transferred correctly. Once connected to a user account on the new PC, opens a window titled 'Migration of protected content'. Text indicates that the protected content is transferred and request a password to be entered in a password field. I entered the PC Vista user account password, but the password was not accepted, and this error message is printed "the password is incorrect". All the transferred accounts had exactly the same problem, even if the original Vista PC account password has been entered correctly.

Studied this problem on the Internet and a suggestion to solve the problem is that the password requested is the STEM of simple transfer is used to start the transfer. I have re-transferred from user accounts and entered to the STEM of easy transfer when windows 'Protected content Migration' asked a password. Always to receive the same error message "password is incorrect" on all user accounts.

You will need to determine what password is requested. In my view, it should be the original account on the old computer password, but perhaps the easy transfer ROD. If it is not what should it be? If it's neither of the two, which? If it's the original on the old computer account password or easy transfer ROD, why aren't these being accepted because I tried them both. Once the correct password is available, is it possible to open the window of 'Protected content Migration' to enter the password without having to use Easy Transfer to transfer the accounts?

Finally, what is the protected content that is transferred? How will I know what it is? It doesn't seem to be something missing in the accounts of user who is easily visible by me. If the protected content is not necessary then not being is not able to access may not be a problem. Because I don't know what content is protected, I have no way to assess if not available is important.

Having to open each item to change the status of access is VERY FASTIDIEUX. Some scripts or feature where all or a group of items is chosen to make this change would be very useful. I migrated about 1000 pages and each one must have a status of access has changed the content migrated. Thank you.

Yes and no. Content migrated from the older DPS to the new system, will always have access to HTML resources added in the old system. Content producer API users have a path to download the shared resources in a project. The dashboard content not currently has a way to download the equivalent of HTML resources or any assets shared among several articles. It's on the list.

1. No, it isn't. You can continue to use the "classic" DPS system

2. you can do separate versions of your content for phones vs tablets. Note that in the new system DPS all content can be displayed on all devices (even fixed the content of the layout) and we're going to scale and box the letters/pillarbox if necessary. This reduces the amount of versions of your content, you need to do. Note also that even with the old system DPS our orientation should only render for tablets, does not separate the HD and SD versions.

After the release of the new Adobe publishing platform, I have a question
Since the new way of publishing have several difference of how we used to do up to now, is it possible to start creating new applications with the new solution at the same time to be able to provide content to existing applications with the old version of DPS to edition? I ask that because first of all, all we will do an internship to understand how the new Publishing solution works and on the other hand the existing application with our client are based on a diffirent structure of the table of contents, navigation etc and it seems really difficult to migrate them to the new look and feel... Will be abel to simultaneously run 2 platforms or because I'm going to the new solution, I won't be able to create content for editing my existing applications?

You can continue to make the content in the existing system. One way to do what you want without too much effort is to continue to create content in the current system and then use the content migration tool to migrate the content to 2015 DPS. It'll save you the hassle of having to download the content twice, but still give you the ability to use the new system DPS 2015 with content you are producing for the current system.

You can follow this model to try to release an updated version of your application on another platform (Android or Windows, for example) to try new experiences out there before making these experiences your primary platform (iOS, I guess).
