PIC of counting using the spirometer sensor

Hi all

I am trying to write a code which is able to read the signal from a spirometer and count the number of vertices in a certain interval of time. So far, that's what I did, but I still struggle with it.

Thanks in advance!

There is a sample VI in the Finder for example called "Detection and display of art", which shows how to incorporate the Detector.vi Peak in LabVIEW with a while loop to count the number of peaks in a given cycle.

  • Photon counting using the FPGA of the series R. problem generation TTL signals

    Greetings,

    I try to use the R series FPGA to read and count the pulses TTL of a discriminator (count of photons of the Hamamatsu C9744 unit) connected to a PMT (Hamamatsu-H7422P-40). The release of PMT looks fine (signal.png H7422P-40) but the discriminator wasn't able to generate corresponding TTL 5V pulse. There was some scattered and random spikes, but nothing significant. Instead, the only stable the PMT signal is a single + 5V pulse no matter how, I adjusted the PMT (C9744 output.png) control voltage. The PMT and the discriminator is connected by an ordinary BNC cable 50 ohms.

    I am really confused because it was supposed to be a really simple installation. Anyone have a similar question or have similar Instrumentation (but no problem) configuration? Comments/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much in advance!

    Hi Kelli,

    Thanks for your help. Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

    I actually found the question. The discrimination of the Hamamatsu unit level is set too high that all signals got filtered. After adjustment of the threshold of manuallyt, I was able to get the camera TTL pulses. And 7842R worked correctly for count impulses. Everything works fine now. Thanks again for the input.

  • How to use the kit sensor Bioinstrumentation Vernier with NI ELVIS II and LABview on a CPU?

    So I have the NI ELVIS II + and a box full of Bioinstrumentation sensor, including Kit sensors: Analog Proto board connector (s), pressure sensor, hand dynamometer, hand grip monitor heart rate, EKG sensors, Surface temperature probe, among others.

    I can't seem to get all the sensor data to my PC that I use, I'm not too familiar with electrical circuits but I followed the manual directions for the specific sensor but it seems as if it doesn't have a difference. I'm with copper son crochet and so that they know the places appropriate (according to the manual) but nothing.

    Am I missing something? I have also the is open regardless of the specific LABview laboratory (Surface Temp lab for example), but when I press run it is as the sensors are not recognized or even be recognized. The sensors are plugged into the connectors on the analog Proto Board also. What I am doing wrong, and how can I get these sensors to work?

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    From what I see, it looks like a typing mistake in the manual.

  • Format of the crop sensor / subject remotely / calibration full AOV equivalent framework

    While using the crop sensor format, how can we adjust the distance of subjects to have the same field of view (AOV) in return, full frame, assuming that the current focal length in use has already been evaluated in order to take into account the standard of 35 mm film? I have the EOS Rebel SL1.

    Yes. I'm sure that the camera I have is the smallest format. That's why I think I need to experiment with several lenses to see how everyone reacts. I think that the format of my camera is 2 x 3, but I'm not completely sure.  After my image size more great cameras in Ps, I chose a preset of the photo, and it converted to 2 x 3 inches. Would this mean a culture factor much more than 7.5?

    Do not confuse "cropping" in Photoshop with the "culture lens/sensor factors" for your camera.

    Photoshop (and many other software image) have a number of current relationships preset image for purposes of culture aspectg. Choice 2:3 in Photoshop will make the area of the whole image that is produced by your camera. Then, you can resize a number of common paper sizes... 4 x 6 inches, 6 x 9, 8 x 12 inch and 12 x 18 (or 13 x 19) inch... that all share the same images of proportions.

    If you choose rather the proportions 4:5 in the truncation of software tool, some of the longest axis of the image will be deleted off the coast, but you can then resize the image to fit other common paper sizes such as 4 "x 5", 8 x 10 inch, 16 x 20 inches.

    There are also a few formats of common paper who don't exactly conform to one pre-defined aspect ratios, for example 5 x 7 inch and 11 x 14 inches. These are somewhere between the two.

    Your camera has a ratio of 2:3 (not 2 x 3). This has been fairly uniform among the 35mm film SLRs and was postponed to digital, too (for the large part... There are a few exceptions). The actual size of your camera sensor is approximately 15x22mm. The so-called "full frame" cameras also have a 2:3 format... is about the actual size of their 24x36mm sensor.

    In other words, the same proportion (IE ' side short vs long side ") is possible in different sizes (both in the sensor format or the movie... and printing of paper sizes). Don't worry too much on this subject the reference to large format... Which seemed to have been mentioned just to demonstrate that there are all kinds of "lens factors" that you can get caught up in the calculation, but this does not really much.

    Focal length does not change. 50mm is 50mm no matter what.

    But a 50mm lens on a format behaves differently than it does on another format. On your camera with sensor 15x22mm is a 50mm focal length lens acts as a nice "short telephoto.  Put the same focal exact on a digital point-n-shoot which has a very small sensor and it can behave as a very powerful, long telephoto.  If not, put this same 50mm on a digital camera to 'full frame' and it will act as a 'standard' lens (that is, not wide or Telephoto). Or, put this same 50mm on a camera film of medium format, which has an image 60x70mm area and this will be a lens wide angle. Finally, put it on a film camera of large format as a 4 x 5 (... equal to approximately 100x125mm inches) and the same focal length of 50 mm behaves like an extreme wide-angle.

    You say you have a kit lens... I guess it's a zoom. Probably an EF-S 18-55mm lens and an EF-S 18-135mm lens. You also have a 50mm 'first' (not a zoom) EF lens. If you set the zoom EF-S 50mm it will give exactly the same angle of view as the lens EF 50 mm Prime. The only difference is that the EF-S lens is specifically designed for smaller sensor cameras, while the EF lens is designed to give an image circle large enough to cover the area from a towards full frame camera.

    Yes, it is true, because they do not need to produce as big a circle frame EF-S or "cultures only" lenses designed for use on small photo sensor can be smaller in size, lighter and less expensive than the lenses made to cover the full frame sensor image area.

    If your kit lens is a 18-55mm, on your camera that provides a variable angle of view ranging from the wide-angle moderate standard to short telephoto. If it's a 18-135mm kit lens, which gives a little wider TV, a moderate telephoto.

    I hope that makes sense!

  • How can I measure the output of a sensor pwm ultrasound using the module or 9403

    How can I measure the output of a sensor pwm ultrasound using the module or 9403

    Khalil,

    When you say 'measure' the PWM signal, exactly what to tell you?

    You're looking to measure the frequency or cycle of the signal function? You count the edges of the PWM output increase? Looking to control the waveform?

    With reconfigurable FPGA hardware, it is up to the user to define the function of the physical i/o on the FPGA chip. By connecting the signals as Adam suggests your digital pulse will be brought to the cRIO. In your FPGA program, you define the function. You can set a base counter or transfer digital data from single point to welcome you cRIO for floating-point more complex treatment. Example FPGA programs are located in the http://www.ni.com/IPnet.

  • Why is my iTunes play count incorrect since I started using the apple music?

    Apple music - usually as the because you work and I listened to some great stuff.  BUT, I went on holiday in Italy (no data service) to find that I have virtually no songs on my phone. I was just find around with iTunes on my mac and phone. I wanted to make sure that I got a lot out there.

    I have a couple of smart playlists, I checked the last played column and it's more than a month, according to my iTunes I have not played any music at all since I joined apple music.

    This is why my smart playlists are not updated etc etc.

    How can I fix this? I disabled could run the music on my phone and downloaded all the music on it but the data are still hurting.

    Help, please

    Hi wooliewoollard,

    If I understand your question, you want to know why your iTunes Library to play the counts do not show your activity using Apple's music.  Could you give a little more information on how you use the Apple music subscription?  It seems to me you have been mainly streaming content on your device.  While you can indicate your Favorites, which will update the suggestions For You, unless you download music to play offline, play music from your music collection, counties smart playlists and the game will not be updated.

    Take a look at the resource below to get a better understanding of the functioning of the subscription of music to Apple and the music app:

    Use of music music Apple in the app

    Listen offline

    You can download songs, including songs that you purchased from the iTunes Store, adding music from Apple, or have been matched or downloaded with Apple music or iTunes game - to your device to listen to when you're not connected to the Internet:

    1. Tap the Options icon plus next to the item.
    2. Press the download icon to the right of the work of the song at the top of the menu of Options, or tap more to download from the bottom of the menu.
    3. The song is downloaded on your device.

    To display the music you downloaded for offline listening, go to my music. In the section recently added, press the category picker (artist, album, etc.). Only downloaded music is at the bottom of the list of categories. When this setting is enabled, My Music shows only the songs you downloaded on your device. Disable this setting to see all of your music, including the music stored in iCloud music library.

    Add songs, albums, and playlists

    You can add songs, albums, playlists and music videos to your library from anywhere in the Apple's music. Items that add you on one device are also added to your other devices that are connected to the Apple's music.

    On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

    1. In the music application, find the song, album, or playlist you want to add.
    2. Tap the More Options to the right of the name of the song or the album.
    3. Press on to add the song, album, or playlist to my music.

    Songs and albums appear under my music > library. Playlists appear under my music > playlists.

    On your Mac or PC

    1. In iTunes, find the song, album or playlist you want to add in the New tab or for you, or search within Apple's music. You can search music Apple from any tab except for the iTunes Store.
    2. Click the More Options to the right of the name of the song or the album.
    3. Click on add to my music.

    Songs and albums appear under my music. Playlists appear in the sidebar tab Playlists in the Playlists of music from Apple.

    Take care

  • Troubleshooting for sending data of 16 sensors to an excel using the IO file worksheet

    Hello everyone. I'm taking 16 sensor data using multiple analog inputs. The device that I use is a 6210 USB data acquisition module and so far I have further complicated the cause of program, it seems to work when I run. I read that you can add multiple channels to a Daq Assistant and use just this one Daq Assistant for all sensors and use a separate signals function, but I don't know how to write code that can be used for the task of trying to send that data from all 16 of the sensors to an excellent spreadsheet file. If anyone can help by sending a file attached on how correctly, that would be great. I'll put the file attactched down below what I tried to do.

    Thank you for all your help.

    Start by saying 'never use the DAQ Assistant!'.  Instead, read this excellent summary of NOR-DAQmx that tells you how to do almost everything you need quickly and easily.  What I suspect you want to do is every moment, taste all 16 channels and bring them into a table of numbers I16 (or, if you have defined scales, as 16 slna in units, you set).  You can "wrap" your only playback function of data acquisition within a while or for loop of N samples (for example, until you press Stop), then take the (now 2D) array of N points of 16 channels, and write to Excel.

    First of all, to get the data in "better shape", using DAQmx.  Have you tried opening MAX and get data by using Test panels?  You can see how MAX can taste all 16 channels at once, at the current rate you specify, permanently?  You can use MAX to set the scales, and if you perform a task in MAX, you can (when configuring your DAQ VIs) pull down this task already defined-and-configured and have almost all of the configuration done for you by MAX (well, not really for you, but made by you when you have made and saved the task).

    P.S. - These lights on the front panel are a bit garish, aren't they?  But very pretty...

    I am trying to rebuild my old iTunes library (hoping to keep notes, play counts, playlists, etc.) on a new laptop of an old PC, although the only files I have to use the old are the .xml, .itl and current music files. Is this enough information to do it, and if so, how should I do?

When iTunes opens it is empty, and when you try to import the .xml I only get playlists, although there is nothing inside of them. It would not be the end of the world for me to start all over again, I've not lost music files, but loading in my all of my old info is much, much, much more desirable. Thank you!

  • How to use the 'sensors' api?

    Hi guys! I am a web-game developer but a beginner in developing blackberry applications.

    I intended to create a star atlas application and I've already finished most but failed to use the 'sensors' api.

    I referred to the example provided in the documentation of webworks 2.1 as below:

    function compassCallback(data) {
    document.write("Current azimuth:"+data.azimuth);
    }
    blackberry.sensors.setOptions("devicecompass", { delay: 1000 });
    document.addEventListener("devicecompass", compassCallback);

    and I added an element in the config.xml file:

    also, I added the plugin com.blackberry.sensors for the project.

    But I still can't azimuth compass...

    I really appreciate if someone could help me with this!

    I solved this problem by myself.

    The listener of the api should be placed in a "deviceready" event

  • Problem pairing and using Bluetooth THE TI sensor Tag with Z10

    I can't pair and use THE TI Bluetooth sensor Tag with my Z10 on OS version 10.1.0.273.

    I can find out the sensor with bt_disc_retrieve_devices Tag, but when I try to pair with bt_rdev_pair, I get an "Operation not permitted" error (EPERM). If I skip the step of pairing and just the list of services with a bt_rdev_get_services, I get an error "No such file or directory" (ENOENT). Same thing happens in the settings menu bluetooth where I can see the device, but it fails to the pair.

    And then, when I try to connect directly to a service with bt_gatt_connect_service, I get an error 'No such device' (ENODEV), which leads me to believe that I have to be paired first to connect to a service.

    The sensor Tag I pairs and connects very well with an iPhone 4S and on the flipside, my pairs fine Z10 with other devices THE bluetooth so I don't know which side prevents matching. I was actually at the session of JAM62 to BB Live 2013 and devices we were seemed to pair well with the TI sensor tag. Not sure if the version of the OS has nothing to do with it.

    Anyone else having these issues with the TI sensor Tag matching or know of ways to solve this?

    Updated the Tag TI with TI WHEAT SDK 1.3.2 sensor and now it matches successfully. Thank you!
