  I hope that if anyone can help. I tried to get this to work for days now and online have sought solutions, without success. I recently got a new Dell laptop, running Windows 7 Professional 64 bit and install CF 9 64 bit. After that specific instructions following, I found in various places online, I went through the installation process, and at the end, when the screen says to log in CF administrator to complete the installation of the process, I click on the link, my browser turns his wheels for a while, then a white page or an error HTTP 500 Internal Server Error message Depending on the browser used. I'm really starting to pull my hair on this topic, because I can't seem to find anyone else who has had this problem, but I don't know why my system should be anything out of the ordinary.   I have a HP Photosmart C7280 all in one printer which worked very well on wifi with Windows 8. A few days ago I got the prompt to upgrade to 8.1. Subsequently the printer would not work and I got prompt/warning message to re - install the printer software. And I went to the control panel and deleted all the old HP software, tried to re - install the last being on the HP site... nothing will do.

  I tried to do a number of ways - manual download, download the HP software that determines what software is required, then it downloads for you...

  It seems to start unpacking all right, but then gets stuck on "Checking system" and never progresses to something else. Help!

  2 have you tried to download the drivers manually on the manufacturer's site?

  Ideally, Windows 7 will try to download the drivers automatically once you have completed the installation.

  I suggest you download the driver from the website of manufacturer to another computer and transfer the configuration file using a flash drive. You can install the driver using this method.

  It is disheartening to know that have problems you with Windows 7. As I understand it the computer crashes at start Windows after the Installation of Windows 7.

  Method 1:

  Disconnect or disable any external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, sound card and graphics card etc.) except the mouse and keyboard and then boot\start the computer.

  If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue.

  Method 2: Perform the Windows 7 installation disc Startup Repair by using the Windows recovery environment.
