Player Media Express on Satellite U200

Hello

I recently formatted and partitioned my entire system, Satellite U200-196. I made a cd of drivers and tools before. But unfortunately I can't find the "Express Media Player recovery CD". Is this a real or did I forgot to 'do' one like the cd drivers and tools?

Hello Enrico

I read some of your comments on this forum and I must say: I love them! You're a really funny guy and we need more people like you here. This forum is not always so seriously. ;)

Back to your question: with each unit preloaded with Experss Media player is Express media player recovery CD. I don't know about your device but friends Satellite U200-192 comes without EMP. He created T & U CD like you, but there is no EMP.

EMP was preinstalled on your device (factory settings)?

  • Install the drive Media Express on Satellite M60

I just bought myself a M60-170. Because I have to join a domain, I had to format the drive and reinstall with XP pro.
During the reinstallation, I deleted all partitions and EMP has disappeared. After reading the manual, I saw that there is an option for EMP.

When I boot with the EMP recovery disk and try to reinstall it, it says that it will destroy all data partitions. But does take?
I made a partition of 250 MB unallocated at the end of the training, but it also reformatted my OS which is located on the partition of handguns?

    Hello

If you install the Express Media Player so the whole HARD disk will be deleted!
    I found this installation instruction:

    1. ALL DATA ON THE HARD DRIVE WILL BE DESTROYED IRREVERSABLY

    2. install Express Media Player:
Boot from the recovery Express Media Player CD
--> use [delete all Partitions] (can be on the left side of the menu for older versions of reader).
THIS ERASES THE ENTIRE HARD DRIVE!
--> 0 x 88 partition ID for the Express Media Player will be created

    (3) boot with the Windows XP Recovery CD, go to expert mode and exit the "TOSHIBA Recovery Tool" (version OEM Ghost) using menuitem "Quit."

    (4) you can use fdisk.exe or gdisk.exe - I'll show the syntax here gdisk
(its easier to describe and there are a lot of descriptions for FDISK on the net)

    (5) now, we create two partitions (size of 50%: 50% - playersize).
--> At the DOS prompt, type:
    Gdisk 1 /cre /pri /sz:50%-> creates a primary partition 1
    Gdisk 1 /cre /ext-> creates an extended partition 2
    Gdisk 1/log /cre-> creates a 2nd logical partition
    Gdisk 1/p:1-> partionion set 1 active /act

    (6) now reboot with Windows XP Recovery CD, go to expert mode
    (7) menu use: Local\Partition\From Image, choose image GHO menu

    (8) there should only be ONE partition available source:
1 primary DiskLoad NTFS 07...-> pick this one!

    (9) Select destination disk (there are also only one)
    1 basic...-> pick this one!

    (10) now you need to choose the destination partition - there should be three to choose!

    (11) select:
1 primary 0C Fat32 without name...-->! BE SURE TO CHOOSE THIS ONE!

    (12) to confirm that you want to write on this partition

"(13)" TOSHIBA Recovery Tool "is unpack and install the operating system

    (14) subsequently Windows XP and Media Player Express are installed

  • How to reinstall media player express on Satellite A100-683?

For some stupid reason, I managed to format the partition that contains the media express the player.

I really think that I have ever received a recovery cd or I lost it in a mather of seconds after I bought my Satellite A100-683 in 2006.

Never the less: I want this program back so I called the technical assistance service. They have managed to tell me that they cannot provide me with a recovery disk because it contained the program note only Microsoft (and Microsoft does not allow redistribution more this program).

My questions, subject that has been media express player and if they had any suggestions where to look for the software, went unanswered.

    So my question is:
Can someone give me please with software that reinstalls express MediaPlayer in its Linux partition on the hard drive of my laptop?

    > I really think that I have ever received a recovery cd or I lost it in a mater of seconds after I bought my Satellite A100-683 in 2006.

Have goggled a bit that has found that this laptop was certainly delivered with the Toshiba Recovery CD and the CD Express Media Player.
So, I think that you lost!

    > I want this program to go back so I called the technical assistance service. They have managed to tell me that they can t give me a recovery disk because it contained the Microsoft program single note (and Microsoft doesn t allow a redistribution of this program).

AFAIK the OneNote has been installed on the Toshiba Recovery CD but the Express Media Player has been on the external CD. So it should not be bundled with the software OneNote.

    > So my question is: can someone please provide me with a software that reinstalls express MediaPlayer in its Linux partition on the hard drive of my laptop?
Unfortunately, I n t think someone can do the official Toshiba forum isn't a platform of Exchange software ;)

  • Satellite A100-906: Express player media use the reinstallation of the operating system

    Hello

I use a Toshiba Satellite A100-906. I did NOT know about what express Media Player recovery cd's and I've never used it. But now I want to know what's the point of use.

In any case I had to format my laptop and I have used the recovery cd. So now I've read that if I want to run the express media player I must first of all, insert the express media player cd stop button of my laptop and then use cd/dvd to start it.

The problem is that I find in win xp with a Windows Media Player. Something go wrong with the format (using the recovery cd)? I had to first install the express media player? and then format and reinstall xp?

If that's the problem, I, at this stage, to be able to install express media player without losing my data? I expect an answer. I hope you'll forgive my ignorance :).

    Best regards
    Harris

P.S. when I boot from the media player recovery cd express I get three options 1) crash installation 2) uninstall 3) delete all partitions. So did I express media player installed?

    Hello

So you're a bit confused. Am I wrong?
If you want to start the Express media player you n t need to insert the CD of express media player!
Express media player must be installed on the HARD drive!

You have recovered the laptop with your recovery CD Toshiba but didn't install the Express media player since the EMP CD!
    This is false.

Usually the Media Express Recovery CD drive must be run before performing the recovery from the recovery DVD-ROM products.
Cannot install the Express media player after using the Toshiba Recovery CD!

So first to run the CD of Express media player and then run the restore CD!

If you wish, you can consult this useful document of Toshiba providing education

  • Satellite U200-115 - CD Rom error - cannot activate windows player

    Hello world

I am having some problems with my player on my Satellite U200-115 DVD burner.
It works very intermittently, and everytime I turn on the machine, the first notice I get is 'CD error' even if there is no disk in the drive.
I can not activate the drive of windows (icon in the system tray).
There is the odd occasion when the drive does not work in windows but it's so rare that I don't remember the last time (I think it was in Nov 08).

I want to restore the system as I get a lot of windows, icons of file instead of the appropriate icons for images for example pdf, doc, etc., but am worried that the reader will not read the disc or will stop working during the recovery process.

    Any ideas would be welcome.

    Best wishes

    Nick

If there s a problem with the player software won't stop working during the recovery procedure.
That you get a CD-ROM error in Windows?

You can try to boot from a Linux boot disk. If it works, it would be a software issue and not a hardware problem.

  • Compatible DVD player problem on Satellite U200

I'm in Iraq and my Commander quit on the laptop Satellite U200 cd player. The drive there was UJDA765 that cannot burn the DVD. The problem with this drive is it renounce collect the DVD and the CD part only worked a certain time and then makes noise.

I tried a compatible DVD burner replace it and found b UJ-822. Several sites said it was compatible and I found people who say they were using. Can someone tell me if it really is? I already had the drive delivered here. Is there something I need to do to get the laptop to see? It does not appear in the hardware section, but it has the power and opens and closes correctly. I moved to the point to consider flashing the bios, I have done that several times, but see not all the benefits like the changes in the new BIOS.

If I was wrong, can someone tell me a compatible DVD burner?

Satellite U200, to use two compatible optical disk drives:

    DVD-ROM & CD - R / RW drive UJDA765
DVD Super Multi Double layer recording UJ-842

So if you want to order again, take another. You must have the super multi, and you will be able to burn all CD/DVD formats.

Good luck boyfriend and take care of you.

  • Satellite U205-S5002: how to get the copy of the Media express drive

    Hello
I recently reformatted my laptop and I wanted to get a copy of the Express media player in the recovery disc creator, but he repeated to me that the file is there more.
So I was wondering if theres another way to get a copy of the EMP
    Thank you.

    Hello

The Express Media Player has been preinstalled on the second partition.
If you have formatted the HARD drive all the partition has been deleted and the EMP has been removed.

As far as I know the media Express CD player was delivered with the laptop and with the recovery CD.
Have you received it? Isn't it?

This laptop seems to be designed for the U.S. market and so I can't say exactly if the CD were shipped with this laptop or not, but European machinery are equipped with such CDs.

Then perhaps you must contact the service provider in your country to get this CD.

  • Satellite U200 - 1920x1080@64Hz on the external LCD screen resolution problem

I am the owner of a SATELLITE U200 and I would use it with an external LCD display.

The external monitor supports up to 1920x1080@64Hz.

When I select the 1920x1080@64Hz option in the properties of the screen, I get an image enlarged and out of range of the scale. However, by selecting 1400x1050@60Hz seems to work very well.

It s nice that your monitor supports the screen resolution 1920 x 1080, but you should check your owner's manual.

On page B-4, you will find a list of the supported screen resolution and I must say that the resolution 1920 x 1080 is not taken in charge.
    You can select 1920 x 1440 but not 1920 x 1080.

Sorry, but the material doesn't supports his screen resolution.

    Hello

I noticed that on some computers laptops Toshiba, the screen refresh rate is fixed on 60 Hz.
The screen refresh rate is not important on laptop screens.
Matrix TFT is not such a thing as the refresh rate. It is not blinking.
TFT as all other LCD screens do not refresh rate setting, only the reaction time.
    Your eyes are sure ;)

    Hi guys

I would recommend really consulted the user manual which must be preinstalled on the laptop.
Here, you can find information about what cards/memory are compatible and taken care of.

To my knowledge the media bridge slot supports the
-SD card (sd and SDIO card meory card)
-Memory stick and Memory Stick Pro (but not the Memory Stick Duo or Duo Pro!)
    -xD Picture card
    -MultiMediaCard

    Hello

Have you checked the Panel-> graphic Manager Intel?
Usually, it takes an option which allows you to rotate the screen.

There are also combinations of keys that should work too:
Turn to normal: CTRL + ALT + UP
    Rotation 90 °: CTRL + ALT + LEFT
Rotate 180 degrees: CTRL + ALT + DOWN
Rotation of 270 degrees: CTRL + ALT + RIGHT

Yesterday installed Windows XP pro, installed the drivers: driver media flash and SD Secure module and card readers do not read MMC cards

    Help, please!

    Hello

What exactly do you mean by MMC card doesn t work?
What is the status of card reader in Device Manager?

I checked the user manual (which can be downloaded from the Toshiba page) and it tells the MMC cards are certainly supported.
I think it must be a software problem.

In your case I recommend to update the Win XP for the last State and reinstall the Flash Media Driver and SD Secure Module again
