Playlist in Windows Media Player, showing the wrong information, even under the properties of the correct info is here

All WMP suddenly shows for example 8 songs with the same title and by the same artist, immediately... Yet it is not even close... now, not all songs in the list display this... but a good party have begun to do.

I was working with another program to categorize and organize my files. But since no additions or deletions have been made to the WMP list, which should not change. If anything WMP should happen to a not playable if the file has been moved or deleted.

A reflection on easily repairng the list? Another then remove the list?

Thank you

And a Merry Christmas to all

What type of file in your music files (MP3, WMA, WAV...)? The songs in the playlist are also added to the WMP library, and they show the correct information there?

You can try to add new playlist, by right-clicking on it - delete- delete from library only - OK . Then, drag the file from Windows Explorer back in the library selection.

  • Windows Media Player shows the library ghost

I am running Windows 7 64 bit. I deleted everything in my music library, but Windows Media Player shows that I have several albums there. When I try to play songs, WMP says that they aren't there. When I try to delete them, nothing happens.

Something seems to have gotten corrupted, but I have no idea how to solve this problem.

You can erase the Media Player library altogether by the removal of the database

    Output Media Player

Run services.msc and stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service

In the box start the search menu, enter %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft , and delete the folder Media Player.

Open Windows Media Player and it will recreate the database from scratch, so you will get the computer search for media files dialogue.

If you go to the All Music Guide (which is used by WMP) database, and the information is incorrect as well, you should be able to fix this here.

Also, if you make corrections through the Find Album Info, this information could be used to correct the database in the future.

    Hello

If you click the cd icon in wmp and select find album info"in the drop-down list box, it should implement the alternative versions (if it is a widely available drive) or you should be able to narrow down the search yourself.

If this does not work - come back and give us a little more information.

  • Trying to create a playlist without Windows Media Player?

Is it possible to create a playlist without Windows Media Player? I VideoLan if that's any help.

Here's the question: I did the test.m3u file, which is placed inside the folder "Music" with the following content.

    #EXTM3U
    1\test.mp3

If test.m3u exists in 'Music' and 'test.mp3' also available in 'music '. However, when I access the "Playlists" menu inside the Sansa player and then click on the 'TEST' playlist, it reads as "EMPTY". Why is this? Is it just that he can't find the MP3 file or have I done something wrong with where I placed everything?

    Any help is appreciated.

I have successes by creating playlists m3u on my Sport Clip with music files organized in several subfolders using VLC Media Player.

First of all, I use Win Explorer of files to create subfolders on my Sport Clip (internal or external memory) to the title of the music. Then I copy my mp3 files selected from my HD in different subfolders of music on my Sport Clip

Then, I use VLC Media Player to load the mp3 files on my drive in the VLC playlist window.

Can I use "Media-> Save Playlist to file-. > Save it as "abc123.m3u" and save the new playlist in one of the subfolders music on my player.   Then I can use music mode or map view on my Sport Clip to select the playlist and listen to music files through all subfolders.

  • Playlists with windows media player

So, I already searched and couldn't find anything to help solve my problem.  I'm not the person most computer savy in the world, but cannot understand why it won't work.

I can create a playlist in windows media player - select this option to synchronize, he says he has been synchronized, but the list of playlist in my rocket was simply the golis.  In MTP mode, nothing happens, in MSC mode, I just get a second copy of the song in the same file as the first, but no playlists?

    Thanks in advance

Scotty, why not try some of the other ways to create a playlist, rather than beat their heads against the wall WMP. There are at least 2 (if not more) programs of creation of playlist created by my colleagues here (here's one) directions as well as step by step on How to do with Winamp (free version is OK).

As I said, there are more; You should be able to flush out them easily by using search here.

  • Can't my downloaded music to open in Windows Media Player and Make Playlists in Windows Media Player

Up to what a few days ago, I could download music (mp3)... put them in files... so being able to move to Windows Media Player and create playlists. The songs are all had small blue and white MP3 icon.  It was great. Didn't matter if they come from youtube or has been downloaded sites and e-mail.

I had a virus and just had the computer repaired and recharged.  Now all the mp3 files have the Red helmet icon and play on the music app.  I really don't like this app and would like to change back to the old icon mp3.  The computer has always had Windows 8 with the music app, but it never came in the image before. I know that Windows Media Player is not the best, but it worked great for what I had with my music.  It seems that I can't do playlists on the media player more... He goes to the application of music and play on xbox music.

Please help me to recover from my years 50 era mp3. (I'm not a 'great' computer person, so I'd appreciate any help)

    Thank you very much...

    Paul

    Hi Paul,.

The probable cause of this problem could be due to the 'Windows Media Player' is not defined as music player by default on your computer.

In Windows 8, Windows Media Player is more the default program to open files of music such as MP3 files.  If you want to make sure Windows Media Player is the multimedia player by default as if it was in previous versions of Windows, please follow the methods in the links below.

    Hi Maurice.

    1. What do you mean when you say no updated with the latest version for windows xp?

    2. what version of Windows media player is installed on the system?

    3. you receive this error code when updating the media player to a higher version or trying to open the media player?

Error code 80070005 means generally that you're not quite allowed to iperform the task.

You can open the administrator and check if you can update or open the media player.

If the problem persists, try the following steps:
    a. download and run Microsoft fix this article (the same article can be followed when you get access denied error during installation)
    b. Once you have run the hotfix, restart the computer.
    c. install Windows Media Player 11 and check the result.

Note: Running Microsoft Fix that it the article will reset the registry and the file permissions.
