"Please wait" Popup goes away sooner than expected

Hello

My specs are:

-Eclipse build IDE-20100218-1602

-BlackBerry Java Plugin Version: 1.1.2.201004161203 - 16

-BlackBerry Java SDK Version: 5.0.0.25

I have a BrowserField2 which loads a specific page. While it loads I have 'Please wait' Popup but it goes far much more early to meet up with a blank screen until the page loads. This can confuse users.

I want the Popup to stay until the page is loaded to 100%.

What I am doing wrong?

Heres part of my code:

protected void onUiEngineAttached(boolean attached)    {        if(attached)        {            try            {             //Instantiate Web Content Request             GetWebContent getRequest = new GetWebContent(_browserField, _request);                //Pass background process and waiting message             PleaseWaitPopupScreen.showScreenAndWait(getRequest, _res.getString(LOADING_NEWS));            }            catch(Exception e)            {                                deleteAll();                add(new LabelField("ERROR:\n\n"));                add(new LabelField(e.getMessage()));            }        }    }

    public class GetWebContent implements Runnable     {       public GetWebContent(BrowserField _browserField, BrowserFieldRequest _request){           //constructor        }      public void run(){            //Get the Web Content for the BrowserField            _browserField.requestContent(_request);       }    }

Here are some others:

public static void showScreenAndWait(final Runnable runThis, String wait_message) {
        final PleaseWaitPopupScreen thisScreen = new PleaseWaitPopupScreen(wait_message);
        Thread threadToRun = new Thread() {
            public void run() {
                // First, display this screen
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable() {
                    public void run() {
                        UiApplication.getUiApplication().pushScreen(thisScreen);
                    }
                });
                // Now run the code that must be executed in the Background
                try
                {
                    runThis.run();
                } catch (Throwable t)
                {
                    t.printStackTrace();
                    throw new RuntimeException("Exception detected while waiting: " + t.toString());
                }
                // Now dismiss this screen
                UiApplication.getUiApplication().invokeLater(new Runnable() {
                    public void run() {
                        UiApplication.getUiApplication().popScreen(thisScreen);
                    }
                });
            }
        };
        threadToRun.start();
    }

Help, please!

you add the listener to the browserfield in your code.

all you have to do now is to move the popup screen control in the listener methods.

I would guess that abandoned, error etc all undisplay the popup, identical to documentLoaded.

    Hello

    Here's the follow up:

    -You cannot restore your files once the HARD drive goes 'bad '. You can try to start the computer by using a few Linux based Live rescue CD, but chances are very small

    -You can not restore factory default before replacing the HARD drive as the old is defective. You must insert a new and then restore because the information is indeed stored on the HARD drive (new)

    -If you know how and where you can event the same HDD - manufacturer 678312-002

    If this is not the case, just use some as suggested above and as explained in the guide Service and Maitanance.

    1. find this jump up while working on Mozilla Firefox?

    I suggest that you initialize in a clean boot state and check if the problem persists.

    Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

    After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

    (a) click Start and then click Run.

    My computer is having problems loading the main office. I start it up, the first black-wallpaper with the logo is displayed, then the screen goes to the Microsoft screen with the green bar of movement. After that, the Windows logo appears and makes the sound. A new screen will appear with a "start-up Fund" and he said: "Please wait...". "This form of lasting about 5 to 8 minutes, then the text disappears, with only the bottom upward. I left it sitting there on the blank screen for about 20 minutes, and still nothing changes. I tried Ctrl + Alt + Delete, and shows nothing. Finally restart manually, but the same problem occurs. The only way that this works is in Mode safe mode with networking (which is currently used). I also tried the system restore, but this does not work because by default it must go through the same problematic steps, as mentioned previously.

  • When I start my laptop Vista loaded, I get 'Please Wait' for more than 2 minutes sometimes. What does Vista behind my back?

    I have a Toshiba laptop with no extra or odd options, this is the case whenever I start and it's annoying when Vista was announced as being quick to start.  This small circular thing continues his tail for up to 4 minutes while the 'Please Wait' shines.  Very unsatisfactory.  I also bought the best virus/malware protection money can buy, at least that's what they say, it's a bit like microsoft.

    Check if the same problem occurs if you "clean boot" your system (check this page). This should load Windows Vista without third-party programs. If the startup time is better, then you will need to find or which program is causing the problem.
    However, you can check this page first.

    Hello

    Thanks for posting your concern on the Forums for Support and sorry about the problem you are having. I went through your post and it sounds like I should be able to help with the problem.

    I suggest you perform the test (Test of the HARD disk) on the computer. Follow the steps below-

    • Switch off the appliance.
    • To turn back press the power button and as soon as you release, keep pressing the "ESC" key, unless a screen comes up, you might want to wait a minute while tapping the button.
    • In the start menu, choose F2 - System Diagnostics.
    • HDD test would be under the Test component. (usually, it is recommended to test rapid and wide, but for now because the PC is new I rather suggest you simply run the Quick Test).
    • After you choose the Quick Test, click on run once.

    If he succeeds, you can proceed with the recovery, part if she fails to give a call to tech support at the number mentioned below, since the unit is under warranty, you should be able to get help to get the drive replaced.

    On the recovery procedure, its complete restoration of unit settings factory which means that the data on the computer is cleared and with it, the software that can be installed on it. Please follow the steps below to perform recovery-

    • Switch off the appliance.
    • To turn back press the power button and as soon as you release, keep pressing the "ESC" key, unless a screen comes up, you might want to wait a minute while tapping the button.
    • In the start menu, choose F11 - system recovery.
    • On the next page of options, you can choose - "troubleshooting." (If it is a unit of windows 8, or you can skip this step)
    • On the next page, you will need to choose "Recovery Manager". (If it is a unit of windows 8, or you can skip this step)
    • On the next page in the first column, under "I need help immediately", you must choose "Reduced Image Recovery"
      • Now, here, you can get an option to backup your files, because it would be an option to say - recover after saving files or recover without backup of data.
      • You will need to insert the disc followed the screen - instructions here on and unit should be returned to its original state.

  • uninstalled applications, received message: Please wait until the current program has finished uninstalling or one. After several reboots, still same message.

    Original title: 2 numbers do not know if they are related

    I have 2 questions and I don't know if they are related. Several days ago I was doing some cleaning and uninstalling programs to free up space. I don't know what I started with, but it seemed to go ok. However, after all that I've tried to uninstall gave me the message: Please wait until the current program has finished uninstalling or one. I rebooted the computer more than once during this period, but it still says that.

    Then my internet explore has stopped working just for 2 or 3 days. I've been using google chrome to access things, but it is rather slow.
    I ran repeated virus and malware scans my norton security and the microsoft Web site, and all said I am clean.

    Yes, it's windows 7 I appreciate the suggestions, but the problem was that he wouldn't LET me not uninstall anything. He gave me the waiting message please do anything, and he's not missing if I stopped and restarted. Finally, I gave up. I saved my files to my external hardrive and just do a full recovery of the computer. He solved the problem of installed programs and the internet problem explore both, although I hoped it would avoid going that drastic.

  • Switch 10 - Please wait while we install an update of the system

    Hello

    Recently, I brought a switch 10. Whenever I turn on the camera, I see the Acer Logo and he said: "Please wait while we install an update of the system.

    I must have started the device about 40 times now, but it does every time.

    Windows updates are up-to-date and are therefore all updates from Acer.

    Any ideas on how to stop this happening?

    Thank you

    Cory,

    Sorry for the previous post - I just noticed, that last Wednesday, you published an update of the BIOS (1,16).

    Guys, I'm happy to admit that this update has fixed the problem for me. Although I had hurt a bit (I had to restart Windows in order to restart the upgrade process) and after you apply the fix on the first start, that I was also able to see the spam message, at the next start-up went well.

    Thank you for the support, now my switch behaves as expected.

    See you soon!

  • PLEASE WAIT, BLUE SCREEN, Windows once connected on the new Inspiron 7537 8.1

    Hi, this is my head. I have a new (less a week old) 15 inch 7000 series laptop PC with Windows 8.1 pre-installed by Dell UK.

    A day after use, I start getting a blue screen that just overlap the start screen (and everything what I am trying to access) saying 'Please wait '. I found on-line means to solve the problem with the option than a job or go back to a restore point. For the last 3 days, I had to perform system restores and especially don't want to continue to do every day.

    Notice all the I changed is to install Chrome.

    I use this site http://www.optimizewindows8.net/2014/01/fixing-please-wait-screen-problem-in-windows-8-8-1/ but it seems that this problem is very popular and there is no solution yet.

    Results

    • Method 4: perform a system restore: The only method that works so far goes back to a restore point.
    • Method 1: launch Safe Mode and perform a clean boot n ' not work, same error after reset. So don't go to investigate the item as they were all off the coast.
    • Method 2: fix the filesystem with CFS scan - I have to do this, you do not have media.
    • Method 3: log in using another account - Not tried but as I only have one account. Plus a lot of people is reporting that they must exercise in using this method with taskkill restoreoptin.exe
    • Method 5: stop waiting for updates: When I got my laptop it turned slowly making me think that something has not been installed correctly.
    • Method 6: end task restoreoptin.exe: You need another account to do this. Trying to restoreOptIn.exe /Ramp, I found that it created the screen 'Please wait '.

    I disabled the Sky drive sync'ing as many messages talking about problems of integration with the operating system.

    Before I do the kickoff at the Dell support by phone, does any body knows more about this?

    Go looking around I found that in the "app My Dell' under 'story checkup\System' a critical error the day I received the laptop. I want to completely reinstall my system but I do not have the media, have no idea where to find my windows key. I found something on "download software factory" on the Dell site, but it did not work. What are you supposed to do here.

    Hi Chris.  I don't have any real help to you that I'm sorry to say, but I also encounter the same problem with my new laptop Inspiron 7000.  I tried method 2 and he obtained throughout the analysis of the Sfc at the end without requiring the installation media and get the message: "Windows Resource Protection is not any violation of the integrity.", which was a dead-end too.

    Takes me back 20 years for Windows 2 and all conflicts of dark material that allows us to get then. Windows 8 rhyme with mistake as far as I'm concerned.

  • Toshiba 32W3451D (B) - "loading, please wait...". "for 30 minutes +.

    I bought the TV today with a wireless adapter. I connected on my home network before pressing the button "portal." The screen went black and it says "Loading, please wait", he has been like this for more than 30 minutes. I tried to turn it off an on again once.

    Anyone know if this is normal? I have to wait much longer?

    Any news?
    The message has disappeared?

    Before you start solving problems, first of all unplug the TV from the wall outlet, wait about a minute and then reconnect the TV to the wall socket.
    Usually the TV should return to normal operation.
