Plug MBP/VGA

I have a MBP with a HDMI port, as well as the thunderbolt and usb ports. I need to connect it to a VGA projector, but AFAIK, the HDMI port will be only digital player displays so a HDMI/VGA adapter does not work. (more I notice that apple sell not one).

Is there another solution, except using a memory stick and give my Power Point presentations (ugh)?

Thank you

  • Plug the VGA cable causes the crash or black screen on my Thinkpad. Help!

On my newly purchased W530, a cable VGA-causes a crash or a black screen on my Thinkpad.

The foregoing happens whenever I have insert the cable VGA which is quite annoying, because I use it with my projector every day.

Accidents seem to occur more often when I closed the lid and insert the VGA cable. If I open cover more often get a black screen (which remains black even when I leave the cable again).

I could try to fix this problem?

Which driver (or other) would be the most likely cause?

    Thanks Adam! :-)

Yes, as I mentioned, accidents have disappeared after installing the latest driver Nvidias own site.

Remaining problems are small problems which I can live with to what NVidia fixes if all goes well with an updated driver.

But it was really great to see instructions on how to start in safe mode on Windows 8. I always wondered who. Thanks again Adam! :-)

VGA cable only transmits the video signal.
So if you want to have the sound on the TV, you use an HDMI cable or you need to connect the laptop to the TV using an audio cable additional. For example, you can connect to the headphones port in the port of the TV

    Yes, it is possible.
Plug the VGA and HDMI monitor on the associated connectors. Now you can use the FN + F5 key combination to activate the two monitors.
Choose 'HDMI + CRT Extended Desktop ". The internal display will spend.

  • X223W - VGA does not? (input not supported)

Or maybe that I don't do something good?  I'm just trying to plug my 360 via VGA.  I have my PC connected via DVI.  When the two are connected, I use the OSD to access the plug insertion icon.  I have 3 options here.  Analog, digital and DDC/CI.  Digital is highlighted that I assume average DVI is connected.  If I turn it on to analog the screen goes black and says "input not supported".  If I unplug my DVI cable and then just plug the VGA cable I always get "input not supported".

Any help would be appreciated it drives me crazy.

For reference, I used this same 360 and VGA cable on another monitor and it works fine.

It seems that sent by the 360 resolution or refresh rate is not supported by the monitor.

I have an Acer Apire 5920. My warranty has run out of earlier. I got a virus in August and had to do a full restore. My question:
When I plug the VGA of the laptop and the TV it says no Signal on the TV. When I arrived at the display settings in the Properties menu I have only 1 screen. It says "display:" (default monitor) on
It doesn't let me change to another. I think that I have an Intel graphics card.
How can I activate the Multi monitor on my laptop?

    Hello E - Odc,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

If you had the opportunity before you install Windows XP and that you are not given a choice now, perhaps you have installed the incorrect drivers. I am not able to determine what you have installed on the Acer site.

Also, here are some links that may be beneficial for you in the configuration of multiple screens.

  • Ripped off VGA connector

Hello everyone. my brother is in a wheelchair, and fell accidentally into his computer, get out of the Chair, where the plug connector VGA in the tower being torn off (in fact, in, he was rattling in the case when I went down to check it out). the computer is a HP Pavilion Slimline series s5000 model n s5703w, I think that Win 7 Home Premium 32-bit (I can't connect it to monitor to check). from what I see, the video card is integrated into the motherboard, if that makes sense (M2N68 - THE Narra6). is the only way to solve this problem is to buy and install a new motherboard? I hate wasting the computer, it is practically new, never been online, it was only used to play some card games on it. Thank you.

    Hello

A new motherboard and time to replace it would be more expensive then buy an external video (PCIe) card. A low-end PCIe card should be ok because you will have more power to operate. Please visit the following link:

What is the native resolution of the TV via the VGA connection?
What is the refresh rate, you should use according to the specifications of your TV (60 Hz?)?
What refresh rate do you use?
Your TV has an option menu or button "auto"?

  • Use of VGA output simultaneously with DVI output

My system as a Radeon X 1300 video card. By looking at system information shows a primary and a secondary exit. My screen is connected to the DVI output, which I assume is the main. The system seems to have output VGA, which I suppose is secondary. Does this mean that I can plug a VGa device activated in the VGA output and have works simultaneously with the monitor. The specific device that I'm considering is made by VRInsight GPS device for use with FSX Flight Simulator. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello:

You can as far as I know, because I'm doing it now.

I use a video card GeForce 6200 AGP, a 19 "monitor LCD Dell on DVI and a Dell LCD 17" running on the VGA port.

  • Tecra M9-104 with docking station - DVI resolution

I wonder if anyone can help. I have a Tecra M9 - 104 running Windows XP. I also have the docking station to go with it. The great thing about the docking station, it's that it can out to two screens as the port on my M5 Replicator could not do.

I bought two identical external screens that have a native resolution of 1440 x 900. I went into the Nvidia display configuration and set up to display both (one is plugged in VGA and one DVI port). However, the display on the DVI monitor is wrong. After further investigation I woke up the menu of the monitor on the screen to see that the resolution actually be issued is 1280 X 1024, despite Nvidia screen saying 1440 x 900 has been the output. Whatever I do, I can't increase the resolution on DVI port.

The only thing I could find on Google and these support forums is that the maximum resolution on the DVI port on a port replicator is 1280 x 1024, but it was for the M1 and M2 series. This laptop is the last series and as such, I expected that the spec had been updated at this time.

    Someone at - it ideas?

Could be due to a limitation of the video driver on the laptop, or you can try to download a utility that requires to use a different resolution, its called Powerstrip (do not have a download link sorry).

Be careful with it though, you can mess up your video driver

    You computer has the following connections;

I suggest to use a HDMI-DVI cable and a mini plug cable stereo 1/8 "to connect your computer to HDTV. Alternatively, you can use a VGA cable, but theoretically, the image will be of inferior quality.

    See examples of Amazon.com (RadioShack.com would not work);
