plugin information under Linux

Hello

I'm looking for information plug-in for LabVIEW in Linux as we receive an error "Element is not supported, the plugin for the selected item is not installed on your system or the plug-in has expired license". The thing is that we might be able to see the Build-> option Installer to the project folder. We have a licensed version of system of professional development and I hope that do not have excedded the authorized number of Installation of LabVIEW 8.6.

Please do help me.

Thanks in advance,

Vivek

As the LabVIEW help explains, the creation of a Setup program is not supported under Linux. It is windows only.

I have laptop Toshiba A300 - 1 5. When I run Windows absolutely everything works fine.
But when I boot Linux (I tested the two 8.10 of Ubuntu and Fedora 10), Fn keys does not work.
Neither is bluetooth, which is a USB hidden and disabled by default.

    I noticed that pilots * toshiba.ko* and * toshiba_acpi.ko* cannot be loaded.
    I tried to load them, but both * dmesg * and said */var/log.messages*: * {color: #000080} not a cell phone supported. {color} *.
    I also tried to use * toshset, toshutil, fnfx *, but they all need * / dev/toshiba * and * / proc/acpi/toshiba * or * / proc/toshiba * exist.
And it is impossible to load them, because the cell phone is not supported.

    I have two questions:

1 Toshiba plans to cooperate with suppliers of Linux in order to fix this bug.
I have visited many Linux forums and many people's complaint they have keys functional unfunctioning under Linux.
So, I think that if the product is thrown on the market, it must be supported, is it not?

    2. How can I temporarily fix this bug to get the missing functionality before the next version of Ubuntu or Fedora? Can someone advice any solution.
(Well, please don't say: leave Linux and use Windows.) I want to use Linux, not Windows. "And I want a job in the same way).

If you want additional information about a bug, I will provide.
    Thank you very much.

We ara tries to connect to PXI8106 (in 1042 chassis) to PC under LINUX via ethernet (cable cross at the moment), is the version of labview 8.5.

Can I use PXI embedded controller connected to the PC under LINUX operating system?

  • nvarchar fields do not come with hsodbc connection under linux

    Hi all

I want to access the database of MS SQL server oracle database using hsodbc connection under linux.

I followed following steps to reach higher.

    1. sql server installed easysoft odbc driver
2 configured odbc.ini with information on sql server.
    3. create initSQLSERVER.ora and placed under < host ora >/hs/admin
4 created earpiece and tns name
    5 created db link

I am able to query MS SQl, oracle, but any column defined as nvarchar or ntext server tables are not displayed.

Everyone has this problem and have the solution?

Note: I did the same configuration in windows, but works well.

    Thank you

    Mani,
I think you have misunderstood my last update.
Patch 5965763 is not a patch to install DG4ODBC in the RDBMS 10.2. It's only a patch that allows to 10.2.0.3, 10.2.0.4 (including 5965763) or + 5965763 to use the gateways of 11 g that are installed in separate directories of ORACLE_HOME.
You can not just change the program in a listener of 10,2-dg4odbc.
Have you installed the software DG4ODBC in another new ORACLE_HOME of the 10.2 install?
If so, you should start the listener of this ORACLE_HOME and not the ORACLE_HOME 10.2 DG4ODBC.
If you have access to My ORacle Support, take a look at these notes-

    Note.466228.1 how DG4ODBC Setup on Linux x 86 32 bit
Note.561033.1 how to Setup DG4ODBC on 64 bit OS Unix (Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP - UX)

    Hello

    I'm under Linux Slackware 14.1 with kernel 4.11 on a Satellite L50-B-166.

Webcam and microphone are not detected by the system, and I can't find the firmware and the module for them.

    Can someone help me?

    Hello

I get the Webcam work properly in Fedora 22 core 4.0.6 (Incidentally, kernel 4.11 does not yet exist, so what kernel do you use )
I suggest therefore that you check the software for the Webcam settings is not simply disabled:

    F2 at the STATION
Go to advanced > system configuration
Make sure the Webcam is turned on.

My laptop (HP Probook 4440 s) is in the list of laptops with BIOS updates related to security issues [1].

I did recently on my HP ProBook 450 G2 Kubuntu Linux 15.10 running.

A new version of the BIOS (01.16 Rev.A 1 December 2015) was available, but for Windows only.

What I had to do to install the BIOS under Linux:

    * Download the exe file (for example: sp74048.exe): this is an archive

    * unpack with 7zip

    * go to my laptop configuration: restart, press [ESC] >

Configuration of the BIOS F10 > MAIN > system update BIOS > BIOS update using local media

    * read the instructions:

"Place the system on a FAT32 partition no BIOS BIN file more

on the system or on a removable USB hard drive

    under the folder "Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\New.

Then, add or verify that the HP Bios update utility (HpBiosUpdate.efi)

and the signature file (HpBiosUpdate.s12) are

on the same partition FAT32 under

the path to the following folder: "Hewlett-Packard\BIOSUpdate. »

    * Take a flash drive, create the folder ""Hewlett-Packard\BIOS\ " "

copy the whole folder "BIOSUpdate" since the original installation file for her

create the "New" folder and copy the bin on it (in my case "M74_0116.bin")

    * If at the end, the flash drive looks like this:

    \---Hewlett-Packard

    + - BIOS

    | \---New

    |      Mxx_xxxx. bin

    |

    \---BIOSUpdate

    all files here

    * place the flash drive in the laptop and "BIOS update using local media" hit the button [I accept] below "the system BIOS will be updated immediately.'." "

Then update the BIOS HP appears saying: the system BIOS is updated day. > writing new BIOS Image. > Veryfying new BIOS Image. > restart.

    Fact.

It is really beyond me why HP does not provide a simple archive with the appropriate directory structure and a readme file so that anyone could update the BIOS regardless of operating system.

Warning: I'm just an average Linux user. This procedure worked for me, but before use, you must consider the risks for yourself. You SHOULD know what you're doing.

  • T510 imprecise touchpad in WIN 7 - under Linux, it's much better

I don't know if you guys tried linux (ubuntu distribution) before, but I realized that the trackpoint and touchpad, especially the responsiveness of the touchpad for the thinkpad t510 when the linux operating system is extremely responsive and fluid compared to when I'm with the trackpad in windows OS. 2-finger scroll is immediately recognized in the ubuntu linux OS while under windows, 2 fingers to scroll is sometimes jaggedly and unresponsive. Also, the trackpoint is the point under linux... While on windows it is a bit inaccurate in his direction of pointer. Is it because there are different drivers written by lenovo for the 2 OS or something else?

Note from Moderator: Edition subject to the content of the game.

Lenovo does not write the UltraNav drivers; Synaptics (for Windows). Linux has its own drivers.

  • How to start the services of informatica 8.6.1 under Linux

    Hello Experts,

I installed the services of Informatica 8.6.1 under Linux, I want to start the services, can someone help me here with the path and the command I should use to start the services.

    Thank you

    Ahmed.

    Ahmed,

This is not the right place to ask questions of Informatica. in any case the answer to your question is mentioned below.

In the UNIX box, navigate to the directory where Informatica is installed. If the profile is configured properly and the environment variables are defined, you can use $INFA_HOME.

    CD $INFA_HOME/Server/tomcat/bin

In this directory, locate the infaservice.sh script.

Type Start infaservice.sh and press ENTER.

It will take a few minutes and all services must be facing up and running including the repository services.

    Thank you!
