  Sorry if I get this is wrong, this is my first post!

  I just upgraded my Curve 9380 to 7.1 bundle 2039.

  I've been on the anterior bundle of 7.1 - cannot remember the bundle #.

  Before the upgrade, I could use UMA & BBM through my router wireless broadband.

  After the upgrade, he just stopped showing off (symbol of antenna) and connected to the Wi - Fi in the upper right.

  I restarted my 9380 and my modem & router several times and nothing is helping.

  I use these constantly that we have no coverage of the Mobile network where we live.

  Are there settings that must be changed, etc.

  It seems that you need to get a link via the mobile network before UMA & BBM works.

  for example, I woke up this morning and it wouldn't connect.

  Went out and use the phone as usual.

  Get home and UMA & BBM worked.

  If you have a normal home mobile network connection won't notice.

• BB blackBerry Smartphones and now the BBM upgrade does not

  I've upgraded to the new version of BB (I think version 5?) two days ago.  Yesterday, I could not find my BBM icon.  At out the battery, etc... Didn't come back (even if it was listed in the application list).  I reinstalled via the BB App World and then had my contacts through backup.  Today, it is not letting me send BBM and if someone sends me a BBM they get an X.  Everything else seems to work very well (Im' getting emails, etc...).  I also did a soft reset (output battery) - nothing has changed.

  Anyone encountered this problem and know how to solve? Thank you.

  I am fairly new here and on blackberry phones. I use bbm on my Nexus4 for a while now and bought a Blackberry Torch used to use with BBM 9810. My problem is that whenever I set up BBM it is stuck on "setting up BBM. I looked on the internet and tried everything I could to restore to the factory settings, update to the latest BBM, password changing to include letters, letters below, numbers and symbols, but nothing seems to work.

  Does anyone has this problem after doing all this (the forums more some of the thigs above seem to work, but not for me).

  Any information would be appreciated.

  A plan of BIS (BlackBerry Internet Service) - is a dedicaed to plan special data for legacy devices BlackBerry (Running OS 7 and earlier versions). You must have a BIS plan to be able to communicate and have access to the BlackBerry Services as Emial, BBM, BlackBerry Protect messaging Apps etc.

  Regular data plan or WiFi does not work. I suggest that you contact your network provider, they can help you with this question.

  This was a unique feature of BlackBerry. You don't know if they intend to add to the iPhone or not. I have heard no word of him either.

  I heard that pine bb uses the server of berry to send msg's is faster and more secure. but I had also heard that u don't need to have a data plan, u could still send/recieve pin msg but I tried turned off my data services, but it did not work. so I was just wondering how actually the PIN works.

  I know that bbm does not work via wifi, u gotta hv data plan.

  and if pin msg need data plan work, then what's the point of hving bbm? It just doesn't do the same thing?

  PIN to pin is on wheels network, so you need a blackberry data plan more coverage network

  I just finished a bunch of updates on my phone, and shortly after that the screen has turned white with the following message 'error XXXX, reset '.

  After the restart, bbm watch the updates tab to date is no longer and seems not showing all changes in the statutes of my contact either.

  I tried the hard reboots and soft, nothing works. I found a few other similar posts on the internet, but not solutions for the moment...

  Yep, it is noted, and possibly your BBM updates will be synchronized again. Just be patient, there is really nothing you can do to force synchronization.

  I can't believe that this has happened. The bbm upgrade 8 is ruining my phone.

  I have improved my bbm from 7 to 8, 3 days ago. After that, I meet terrible hardware performance:

  1. my unit is hot all the time! looks like an overload of software? but I installed only fery some applications because I use my galaxy tab for main activity.

  2. battery level lowered to zero even when I do a full power 'off '. I used to switch off my phone whenever I fall asleep. And these 3 days, I woke up to a dead phone.

  Then. I really want to become an associated BB upgrade. my 8 BBM BBM downgrade 7 as we speak.

  I have a Blackberry Curve 9630 and for nearly two weeks, nor the services polls bbm or email to my phone worked, and the BlackBerry logo that happens usually when it is connected to wifi or 3 G is nowhere to be seen. I tried pulling on my battery, restart, change of sim cards, logging in and out of my blackberry ID account and still nothing. I checked with my network provider that blackberry is always on, nothing. I had a look at several other positions and all the advice and tried to register my device (following this link: http://btsc.webapps.blackberry.com/btsc/viewdocument.do?externalId=KB00510&sliceId=2&cmd=displayKC&d... still nothing, I get no message registration.)

  Is there anything else I can do?

  On connection management screen, click on the State of Services.
  What is the status of the BlackBerry Internet Service?

  If it is "not connected", then you need to call Virgin and to confirm that your SIM card is always configured with the BlackBerry BIS data Plan.
