  1. Click Start, type "msconfig" and press ENTER.
  2. Go to the Services tab and search for "HP Software Framework".  This should load with Windows for a lot of the HP software to work properly.
  3. Then go to the Startup tab and make sure that anything it either by "Synaptic" is loaded with Windows.
  4. Save your changes and exit msconfig.
  5. Then go to your touchpad settings and, even once, make sure that the settings are correct.
  6. Finally, restart the machine and make sure it works properly.

  My download folder and xml app in this xml file, I have 12 images of form url... the size of each image is the 22KO...

  So when I read the xml I create the bitmap from the url and display in a table.

  The app works very well. but I test wifi network and edge, and the app is very slow to download images in the dashboard.

  My guy is, speed up its posible? I have all processes in the same theard, its posible to load images and put a table in another thread? asincronized?

  You cannot improve the performance of Thread.  By having two of them, all you want to do is call more connection time.  If you have a single Thread, then it is time when your son's treatment of the downloaded data and during this time, the network is not be used.  If you have another Thread, then while one Thread processes its data downloaded, the other Thread can be by downloading the following image.

  I'm not aware of an example.

  Perhaps the easiest thing is to simply run another copy of the Thread, but it starts with another list of files to download.  Or more generally, have a shared queue and then each Thread can draw the next file to download off the coast of the queue until the queue is empty,

  My friend has an old laptop. She uses it to much except e-mail, navigation of base and Netflix. Even if its an old computer, it seems very slow for me. Here are the specs: Dell INSPIRON1100 Celeron CPU 2.20 GHz. 224 MB of RAM MS Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3. A C. NTFS drive. Total area is 27.7 Gb. = 14.8 GB free space. Other statistics: since the Manager task performance (after a start cold with no loaded application) monitor commit Charge Total 150360 limited 556276 pic 284296 network Local area connectivity 100 Mbps (Comcast in connection with cable to the router Comcast) to start cold (completely died), it takes apx. 2 minutes to start until I hear the Windows chime. Once the base system begins, launching applications is very slow. For example, right after you start with nothing else loading it takes apx. 22 seconds to start Firefox, then check out the homepage. This may be because of the speed of the Internet (which is good see above) because the home page is a very small local file on your hard drive. Its a file with no graphics at all, only four links (e-mail, google, page news and Netflix). After Firefox starts when I click Netflix it takes apx. 20 seconds for the home screen to come and be usable. (These times are however from a freshly toed machine) When I click on a movie it takes apx. 30 seconds just for me getting the red Netflix screen which indicates the film is start and apx. 1 minute for the movie to start. It's actually not too bad, but once the computer has been used for a while, it may take much longer. Its also very little reliable. It crashes a LOT and she in turn off the computer at least once every night or she will end up hanging. Sometimes, it crashes even when during the day and must be restarted. Even if we do not get the blue screen of death, we get just the hourglass and his does not. BTW, it uses Firefox, because when I loaded a few patches from Microsoft a year ago Internet Explorer has stopped working. It seemed as if some IE plugin hung looking for some data.   Of course, a lack of ram is definitely a problem. I would like to scan the computer for malware with Malwarebytes and SuperAntispyware. Remove any detected object. Defragment and see if there are improvements.

  Also, great job to give information on the computer. The problems are much easier to solve with sufficient information.

  I have a request that I tested on a real phone and I noticed that when I call the method openPushListener on the push API that the CPU of the phone shoots up to 80-100% and stays there. When I do that on the Simulator there little CPU usage at all. I made sure this isn't the rest of my application by creating an application to Subscriber very simple push that, once compiled and put on a tourch or "BOLD" takes the CPU at 100%. When I do not call this method our application runs quickly, but when I listen to the messages of push splash screens taking much time to load before have been instant and it must be down to the CPU of the stuff to push.

  Ok... The thrust of new API that is to come (in the next two weeks) do not have this problem.  We were able to get to the root of the problem.

  This CPU use is caused by the opening of several ports push.  We the have not seen happen when using only one port to push.  Although we have seen occur when more than one application uses the API to push.

  The new API is standard capabilites Push which does not allow you to open several ports by request of data push.  Several applications can use this API without any degradation.

  In short... If you only use a port with the API to push, you minimize your chances of a question.

  We have an esxi Server 5. Theres only one virtual machine running. It is A SBS 2008. The server is slow, it seems to depend on the CPU (XEON 5502 2 cores with hyperthreading) use. The windows Task Manager shows the use of 60 to 75% most of the time and often 100%.

  But the performance vmware (vsphere) table shows only 20% up to 60%, although the vitrual machine CPU resource reservation is high and unlimited. Is it possible, to give the virutal machine more CPU power?

  It seems that your processor has no hyperthreading.  Specifications Intel http://ark.intel.com/products/37092/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5502-4M-Cache-1_86-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPI

  With all four cores assigned to a single virtual machine probably causes CPU performance issues.  Have you checked the CPU Read values?  If you see more 1000msec by vCPU, you can expect performance degradation.

  Chaning the VM from four to one or two vCPUs shouldn't be a problem, unless you have software running which consumes a lot of time processor.  I ran SBS2011 on a single vCPU with no problems.

  We have a tree table based on a VO and EO (with transitional attributes). One of the attributes is an indicator.
  The original Version is filled with a complex query with several thousand lines.
  
  Now, when the user clicks on a node, all children are updated (their flag is set to true) recursively.
  
  It's really really slow. It may take several minutes, while a similar update via PL/SQL on a real table would take a few seconds.
  
  Is it possible to improve the performance? We have already applied all the tunings on EO as VO mentioned in the Oracle Documentation, but they had almost no effect:

  -indicators of query
  -Use the batch update

  No, the VMware tools backdated wouldn't interfere.  In fact, you don't have even the VMware Tools installed to a virtual machine running normally.  Will pass you right next to the advanced features and performance gains unrelated to the CPU.  The CPU is the processor there is no driver for this specific to VMware.  Values of loans are quite specific - the virtual machine has something to see CPU wise and his waiting for access to the CPU.

  The physical number of nuclei in the home and what is it (Intel 5500 or 7300 etc.)?  How many virtual machines?  How many virtual processors assigned to hospitality?   How many VMS are multi-CPU?  What is most vCPU per VM on the host?

  I spotted information about DNS server settings and I know where these, but if they need to change, how would we know who and what?  Currently, the router is the DNS server.

  You use wifi American channels for your hot spot?  (1 - 11)?

  Slate 7 28xx cannot use European channels above 11.

  Are the songs downloaded on the device, or you use a streaming service?

  The issue is that IE - 8 is at a standstill when browsing public sites. Are Web pages displayed thereafter, but sometimes take 3-4 minutes.

  However, Chrome works very well at the same time, same sites work like a charm.

  I know you may think then why not to use chrome. (we have a few sites that are dependent on IE)

  Measures taken so far

  Build the fresh image (always the same question)

  No bottleneck of resources

  tried NTLM/LM of different security authentication methods.

  I've tried different versions of java

  I tried different flash drive

  Proxy bypassed in client Vm

  update IE 8 to IE - 9

  Always the same offset.

  I tried IE protected mode and various combinations of security.

  Chrome, firefox works quite well.

  At squid using IE if I have the tail newspapers then few applications is rejected and then finally the page appears.

  I also tried ISA6 same story.

  Considering that chrome works brilliantly.

  Can someone please suggest something or if any one facing the same question.

  I don't think that THE Thinapping is the answer here.  It is not strictly 'legal' for a start, and a lot of people use IE without this problem.

  If it works fine with your proxy disabled then its clearly your proxy configuration.

  I used VMware Server for a few years and thought I would give an ESXi, but I have problems.

  Here's the story backwards.

  One of my friends has a server which is used as its SMB company's intranet.

  This server is on its last breath and ready to die.

  He has no access to code custom or even how to reinstall this application to a new server.

  So I thought that ESXi would be a good fit.

  I had an older server (2.7 ghz Xeon dual processor HyperThreading 3 GB of RAM) laying around.

  I know that is not the latest and the greatest, but it uses a double 500 mhz with 1 GB of RAM now.

  I set up ESXi and then used VMware Converter to virtualize the system.

  Everything went well and the conversion worked as expected.

  The application worked.

  Now a serveral people hit the virtual machine, it works like a dog.

  The old dual 500 mhz Server works best.  Although on the surface, it is 5 x more speed and 3 x more RAM.

  Ping on the virtual computer will range from 1ms to 1000 + ms not very regularly.

  However, the ip address of managing pings under 1ms and is on the same physical adapter.

  Any suggestions for what to look for?

  Am I missing something?

  I thought my configuration to the top was pretty basic.

  How many virtual processors did give the virtual machine? If I would try a simple vCPU - double the amount of memory is affected and how much the server have?

  I use the unit of POS 6.0 (6 to) for about a week now. I started adding backups more & more.

  I find the very poor performance of the web client, especially when he's working on backups. In the 'Reports' section, sometimes it takes 10 to 15 minutes on "Loading of the report data" just to see failed or parties constituting the jobs.

  The installation was made with all default values, 4CPU & 10 GB of ram on the x 3650 IBM & IBM DS3500 M4 hosts attached fiber SAN. Disk performance tests all passed.

  The performance of navigation in the section of POS in the web client are now perfect.

  Call technical support and mention VDPGUIPatch.zip. This is the file that must be connected to the POS device.

  Recently, I updated to Firefox 27 and noticed really horrible performance (Manager tasks indicates FF connecting a carrot, frequent "Firefox is not responding messages", even strikes in late development in the URL bar). It's on an Ideapad s205 (AMD E450 APU, Win 7 x 64, 8 GB RAM, SSD) who has always had pretty decent web browsing performance for a low end machine.

  At first, I blamed FF because poor performance coincided with the update to version 27, but now I think that the first cause to be a recent Microsoft Update. The reason is that my wife has a laptop with a same low-end APU (APU C60, hard drive 5400 RPM, 4 GB of RAM, Win 7 x 64), and she was getting much better performance with FF27 until I applied a backlog of some 90 + updates. Now she suffers from the same poor performance I am and she is pretty p * ssed at home.

  Interestingly, I have two WIn 7 x 64 Intel computers to office who have 27 FF and are fully patched, and performance are very good. Maybe this problem is specific to AMD APU.

  Any thoughts? I tried to turn off the backend Azure with some comments in this forum, but makes little or no difference.
