  When I had to go to msconfig earlier in our interactions you make sure that the Synaptics driver load with Windows?  Follow these steps to check.

  1. Click Start, type "msconfig" and press ENTER.
  2. Go to the Services tab and search for "HP Software Framework".  This should load with Windows for a lot of the HP software to work properly.
  3. Then go to the Startup tab and make sure that anything it either by "Synaptic" is loaded with Windows.
  4. Save your changes and exit msconfig.
  5. Then go to your touchpad settings and, even once, make sure that the settings are correct.
  6. Finally, restart the machine and make sure it works properly.

  It is more of a general question but also for the development of Air for the Playbook and other devices BB10.

  My Playbook has huge performance problems when it comes to scrolling lists.

  And this problem exists with almost all applications (not the ones that I have developed).

  For example, take a look at the app NTV - such its bad, its almost unusable because it's so late when scrolling lists.

  I don't know how this app was developed, but I guess it's Webworks or Air.

  You can see this delay also in the official app of Facebook: it's the same poor performance when it comes to scrolling.

  I guess this Facebook app is also WebWorks or Air.

  So Air or usable at all WebWorks?

  This performance is not fun, and it has no sense to develop applications with this platforms if these performance issues are of type platform.

  Now, my question is - is it true that the only platform that "really works at all" (about performance) is the native "platform"?

  Or is it a problem in the current version of the Playbook OS?

  Else you have noticed that this operation met during the scrolling of lists?

  It's a question AIR, specifically made software. All of the applications you listed are AIR. Try something like Scrapbook, and you see things how smooth can be (waterfalls).

  I saw not the same problems when using WebWorks with Sencha Touch. It is also quite possible to make things smooth in the NDK with waterfalls, but it's only for BB10 (for developers non - RIM). So cannot use it PB BB10 release (end of 2012).

  I also note that the new fuse QNX user interface components are much smoother than conventional QNX UI components. If you use make sure you air that you use.

• CS4 and performance with the Radeon HD 4670 problems

  I just updated my graphics to Embedded Intel G41 for a Sapphire HD 4670 512 MB GDDR3 card. While there certainly improves the General performance of the PC it leaves first faced, with video performance WORSE than the Intel. The video of the timeline is aweful - stuttering and jerky. I used to use the HDMI output to a HD of Hitachi TV with a resolution of 1440 x 900. It is a little choppy, but overall not too bad. Now, it's really bad.

  My spec is complete:

  Windows 7 Ultimate 64 Bit

  Intel E6300 2.8 ghz Dual - Core CPU

  Corsair 4 GB RAM

  3 x SATA hard drives

  POWER 450W

  Can someone advise me what I please. I bought this card for £58. Well above that is not an option.

  I have to say that I want to say is that to happen when I go to playback settings - reading in real-time - external device: and select the Hitachi. If I choose 'None', then it is fine, but only plays back in the monitor of CS4 window. I could use Hitachi okay with graphic edge.

• PUSH API - openPushListener high utilization of the processor and the poor performance of the app.

  I have a request that I tested on a real phone and I noticed that when I call the method openPushListener on the push API that the CPU of the phone shoots up to 80-100% and stays there. When I do that on the Simulator there little CPU usage at all.   Ok... The thrust of new API that is to come (in the next two weeks) do not have this problem.  We were able to get to the root of the problem.

• Very slow performance with the Web Client vSphere

  I'm testing the vSphere Web Client, but I find it excruciatingly slow - it takes almost 5 minutes just to open a session, and each click after that I take a good load of 30 seconds before the new page is completed. Its a file with no graphics at all, only four links (e-mail, google, page news and Netflix). After Firefox starts when I click Netflix it takes apx. 20 seconds for the home screen to come and be usable. (These times are however from a freshly toed machine) When I click on a movie it takes apx. 30 seconds just for me getting the red Netflix screen which indicates the film is start and apx. 1 minute for the movie to start. It's actually not too bad, but once the computer has been used for a while, it may take much longer. Its also very little reliable. It crashes a LOT and she in turn off the computer at least once every night or she will end up hanging. Sometimes, it crashes even when during the day and must be restarted. Even if we do not get the blue screen of death, we get just the hourglass and his does not.   Of course, a lack of ram is definitely a problem. I would like to scan the computer for malware with Malwarebytes and SuperAntispyware. Remove any detected object. Defragment and see if there are improvements.

  Also, great job to give information on the computer. The problems are much easier to solve with sufficient information.

  We have an esxi Server 5. Theres only one virtual machine running. It is A SBS 2008. The server is slow, it seems to depend on the CPU (XEON 5502 2 cores with hyperthreading) use. The windows Task Manager shows the use of 60 to 75% most of the time and often 100%.

  But the performance vmware (vsphere) table shows only 20% up to 60%, although the vitrual machine CPU resource reservation is high and unlimited. Is it possible, to give the virutal machine more CPU power?

  It seems that your processor has no hyperthreading.  Specifications Intel http://ark.intel.com/products/37092/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E5502-4M-Cache-1_86-GHz-4_80-GTs-Intel-QPI

  With all four cores assigned to a single virtual machine probably causes CPU performance issues.  Have you checked the CPU Read values?  If you see more 1000msec by vCPU, you can expect performance degradation.

  Chaning the VM from four to one or two vCPUs shouldn't be a problem, unless you have software running which consumes a lot of time processor.  I ran SBS2011 on a single vCPU with no problems.

  It's really really slow. It may take several minutes, while a similar update via PL/SQL on a real table would take a few seconds.
  
  Is it possible to improve the performance? We have already applied all the tunings on EO as VO mentioned in the Oracle Documentation, but they had almost no effect:

  This query is very fast using a basic training, it iterate over the line of the cursor in less than 100ms.
  The parties of the date of the request are generated using the string concatenation.
  
  Since this is a bad practice, I decided to use a PreparedStatement class and thus alter the query like this:

  SELECT col1,col2 FROM myTable INNER JOIN myTable2 using(id) WHERE time > ? AND time < ?;

  I bind the dates and I get exactly the same result, except the performance... Now do not 100ms... It takes about 120000ms (2 min)! ?
  The execution of the query is not the problem, the problem comes from the ResulSet.next () method which is much longer than before.
  I said that the exactly the same values are used, the result is exactly the same.
  I tried a different value for the size of the extraction, but not of differences.
  
  Any idea?

  It is likely that the DBMS is having to convert your parameter values to match the column type 'time ',.
  and because of the conversion, you may not use the index on this column, it is a table scan and
  make a temp table to order the results before it can return the first row.
  DBMS offers regularly more regular interpretation with SQL conversion capabilities that they / can for
  Parameterized SQL.

  You can try:

  SELECT col1, col2
  FROM MyTable
  INNER JOIN myTable2 using (id)
  WHERE time > TO_DATE (?, "DD/MM/YY HH24:MI:SS")
  AND the time< to_date(?="" ,'dd/mm/yy="">

  And setString() to set the values of the parameters...

• Poor performance since the update of security online

  No problem with web browsers (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) at home (Comcast) and work (Integra) until I downloaded the recent Safari 9.0.3 and security of the OS update.  Now, with all browsers, while a few sites (Facebook, Flikr, Yahoo, search the Web) load more quickly, most of the others (links Apple in searches) loading VERY slow (Slower than Dial-Up) or not at all.  I ran the diagnostic - all connections are good.  E-mail works well.  I restored the computer using Time Machine.  Internet connections are fine with other computers on the same router.

  Spotify usually time very well.  iTunes Radio - NO.

  I spotted information about DNS server settings and I know where these, but if they need to change, how would we know who and what?  Currently, the router is the DNS server.

• Poor performance with office 110-320z

  This computer is around the age of 6 months and I just did a full restore of the operating system. I just loaded Bejewled of steam and the graphics appear performance running this simple game is very slow and jerkey. I also noticed by looking at the Task Manager CPU will lead almost 100 percent when you run a single browser.

  I think that something does not work properly. I know that this office is not a work horse, but I think he should be able to run a 2D game commonly.
